About Me Natural Style
Comments about Barely There Tint SPF 30 - Level 1 Fair/Light - 1 oz:
Barely there covers more then other tinted moisturizers with spf and is less creamy. It has the matte and silky finish, which looks still natural. I think it also depends if its a hot day and you are sweating a lot, so this might be the better option then other 5 star products, which are creamier.

Barely There, Sheer, but not at all Matte

About Me Classic Style
I've been trying to find a good product that combines foundation-like coverage with high SPF and have tried a few BB/CC products with mixed results. Since I am a dedicated Paula's Choice customer I wanted to see what her line had to offer in this regard. To that end I tried this out along with the Best Face Forward Foundation to compare when they both went on sale this month. I did the half face one, half the other comparison to see which I preferred and this product did not win. It's the middle of winter and my combination skin is dry and flaky but this still managed to look shiny on my skin. It provides almost no coverage. I have light/medium toned skin (I'm somewhere between the 2nd and 3rd lightest in most makeup lines) and the Level 2 was a perfect match, but with coverage this minimal the color may not matter. This is probably a good option for people with dry skin and/or those who react badly to chemical sunscreens, since this has only titanium dioxide and zinc oxide (but didn't look ghostly or chalky on the skin, which is a plus)

Best tinted moisturizer I've ever used
from Phoenix, AZ
Finally! A matte tinted moisturizer with the perfect amount of coverage. It's light while still evening out my skin tone and covering imperfections. It leaves a semi matte finish instead of a truly matte but if I wanted a heavier, drier finish I would reach for my foundation. This is the perfect color for my skin tone. Most bb creams tend to be slightly too warm. Despite loving this product for myself I'm concerned it won't compliment everyone. I wear the lightest shade PC offers and I'm hardly the fairest of them all. If you're very pale I'm not sure this will be the best match.

I LOVE this sheer foundation
from Mountain View, CA
This is a wonderful tinted sunscreen for my combination skin. It doesn't cause breakouts, and it feels very light and non-greasy.I use it mostly on my slightly reddish nose, under-eye circles, and brown spots on my cheeks. It doesn't cover much, but it does even things out a bit.

Great, natural finish
Thanks to teenage acne leaving me with less than perfect skin, i have been a foundation junkie for years, questing for that miracle foundation These days i don't get many pimples so i no longer need full coverage; for me my issue is textural :( i was a fan for many years of estee lauders double wear but although it has great coverage it tends to cake & gather in my already enlarged pores. I purchased this on a whim & i could not be happier. It is light to medium coverage so this isn't for you if you have pigment issues or active acne, but you don't have to have perfect skin for this to work. can't wait to get a darker shade for summer!

Foundation that needs an additional sunscreen
from Minneapolis area
I purchased the sample pack and sent an online question asking how it compared to a Resist moisturizer with sunscreen. I was surprised to learn that the Barely There Sheer Matte Tint with SPF 30 shouldn't be used as the sole source of sun protection and the Resist moisturizer with SPF 30 would be a good product to use over it. Why then even include sunscreen if another sunscreen is to be used as well? The sample pack packaging doesn't say that so I'm glad I asked. I had been looking for a single product to use and was disappointed to learn about the sunscreen issue.
Customer Service Response: Hello, and thank you for sharing your experience with us! The SPF 30 included in the Barely There Tint is sufficient broad-spectrum protection against UVA and UVB rays. The reason we recommend using another sunscreen is that for any sunscreen to be fully effective, it must be applied liberally, and in general most people don't apply tinted moisturizer or foundation products in the amount that's needed to get full protection. If you do apply Barely There Tint liberally enough to get full sunscreen coverage, then there is no need for an additional sunscreen product. We hope this information is helpful!

I don't really like wearing much makeup, and If I can get away with less product on my face I will! This tinted moisturizer really fits the bill, as I have oily skin I don't need an extra moisturizer, plus it has decent spf so all I need to do in the morning is pat on my wonderful resist toner and follow with this! The coverage is light, but more than others that claim to be light. I think the best part of the coverage is its ability to counter tone imbalances-instead of trying to cover up everything. I have redness that this does a nice job of calming down, but not so much that I look pale! I also use generous amounts of this to make sure I get enough spf, and it stays mostly matte ( a little dewy but not really once you walk outside).

I really love this tinted moisturizer! I have extremely dry skin, so I need to apply this on top of a daily moisturizer. I have no problems layering this product on top of my moisturizer, or with foundation for additional coverage. When you initially put this on it literally looks like nothing is on your skin. However, if you wait a few minutes you can see the coverage. No, it's not foundation level coverage and is just a "tint", so for more coverage for hyper pigmentation (which I have from acne), I layer this with Paula's choice all bases covered. I even put it under my eyes and it's enough to cover dark circles. This tint moisturizers and stays put all day and evens out my skin tone. For the price point the bottle is sort of small, but it lasts a while.

I had high hopes for this product. I discovered Paula's brand 3 months ago and purchased many of her skincare products and they all have been wonderful, living up to their claims. So when I was looking for a tinted moisturizer with SPF I turned to Paula's Choice. However, this tinted cream is very very light, so much so that I cannot see a difference when I put it on. I knew it was sheer and light and was hoping it would not cover but blur some of the redness on my cheeks. Unfortunately it does not at all. I was previously using Clinique Super City block which is not sold as a tinted moisturizer but is lighly tinted. Clinique's product does however blurs my red cheeks enough that I can just use a finishing powder on top and be done. Barely There did not, not matter how much I put on. I am very disappointed, not to mention that by the end of the day, it felt slighly itchy on my cheeks. I would recommend this tinted cream if you have a very good skin to start with and only want to add a little something to it. I am sorry it was a miss for me, I will keep looking.

Perfect for everyday wear
By Shannon T.
from British Columbia, Canada
I love this product. I have extremely sensitive skin and have struggled to find a product that would not only even out my skin tone but wouldn't cause red marks and puffy eyes and PC products have done just that. The Barely There tinted moisturizer is my savior for everyday wear when I don't have time to put a full face of makeup on. Paula's Choice is the only brand of face makeup that hasn't hurt my skin and this product will definitely be a part of my permanent routine.
