Bring back Barely There!
from Beachwood NJ
About Me Beauty Conscious
Comments about BEST FACE FORWARD SPF 25 - Best Bisque - 1 oz:
I have used the makeups offered on Paula's Choice and found them to not hold a candle to the Barely There Moisturizing Tints. After using the Barely There for 6 years and ordering 3 - 4 times per year, I am dismayed to see that without warning, the product is discontinued! The foundations sold on PC sit in the creases of the skin, making me look older than I do without it. The Barely There provided just enough evening out of tone without highlighting my flaws! This will mean lots of trial and error with shipping fees for returns while I choose the best shade of the BFF or All Bases Covered, and remember to avoid any creases. Suboptimal, at best. Samples would have been helpful during the transition.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Not for me

About Me Minimalist
I love PC skin products, but have yet to find a foundation that works for me. I was excited to try this, but it's terrible on my skin. After half an hour, it's SO oily looking, and the minimal coverage it provides wears off. Adding insult to injury, it breaks me out. Every time I wear it. With oily, acne prone skin, it's the last thing I need. Totally missed the mark for me, except that the color is exceptionally natural and nice for lighter skin.

About Me Skin Care Professional
I really wanted to like this foundation. It has a lot going for it: it's made by my favorite skincare brand, the lightest shade is truly fair for my pale skin, it has spf, it's matte, and it's easily blended with fingers for lazy makeup girls like me. The problem is the wear. It starts off okay, the coverage isn't great, but it doesn't advertise coverage and it really looks like your skin...at first. My issue it that it doesn't last long, and it breaks down in weird patches. I have oily skin and no dry patches, and the way it wears makes me look like I have flaky skin- especially the nose. It's just not flattering. There are several other matte light-weight foundations that perform much better.

Used successfully on acne prone skin.
from Boise, Idaho
I've used this product for many years (dare I say over 10). I have acne prone skin and this is the only foundation I would trust with it. Sheer to medium coverage as described. I have pale skin and the lightest color almost always works for me even in the summer. I just wish PC foundations came in different colored tubes from each other. I currently have the tint, foundation for normal to dry and foundation for normal to oily in my drawer and they all look the same.

Only makeup I would ever wear ...
from Los Angeles
This is the only foundation I will ever use. It is so sheer and wonderful that it looks like no foundation. It is definitely, however, in the yellow range--if I apply it all over I look jaundiced. Would not recommend that. Just apply it over areas that you want to smooth out of cover. Great stuff. Right price. I just won't spend money on this nonsense. Get the lightest if you are MAC 25 or below.

Great for light breakout prone skin
By Donna in DC
from Washington DC
I have very light skin and it's hard to find shades that are light enough and that don't add a yellow or orange hint to my skin. I have fair skin that burns easily, light blue eyes, neutral or possibly cool tones. This lightest shade is perfect. My skin is very breakout prone, I'm in my mid 40s, oily/combo skin and very fair skin that shows every little blemish and irritation. I live where weather is hot and humid in summer, dry in winter. I've avoided using sunscreen on my face daily because every SPF product on my face causes breakouts. My dermatologist finally convinced me that I just need to do it. I'm now prioritizing my skin health, my health, over my breakout tendencies. So I've tried a LOT of SPF products for my face to try and find the least aggravating. How wonderful that this product protects with SPF, is much less aggravating than others, and has these other nice qualities:* great shade for fair neutral skin tone* looks natural on. More like a tinted moisturizer I would say, but buildable coverage as well* has a "silky" feel on the face rather than greasy* lasts for several hours. What I like about this is that when it "wears off" it does seem to really just wear off, as opposed to getting greasy and looking weird on my skin* Works for me all seasons. Unlike others I did not find this too drying, but I rarely have dry skin issues. Not heavy at all in humid summer weather. No SPF product is going to be perfect for extremely breakout prone skin like mine, but this is by far the best. As others have said the nozzle is prone to breakage so be careful when using it.

About Me Natural Style
I wasn't really expecting much to be honest, but I've been shopping around for a cheaper foundation (I've been using bare minerals) that I can use for every day wear and for conventions where I'll be getting pictures taken and appear in videos. And wow? This foundation surprised me.When I first applied it, I was a little skeptical. It was VERY runny and after a few shakes it was still runny, but I figured that's just how it was. I use smashbox pore primer and No7 tinted moisturizer before the foundation. I used my fingers and basic dollar store sponge to apply and it went on smoothly.First you have to understand what LIGHT BUILDABLE coverage means in the description. It means it wouldn't HIDE everything on the first go, you have to build it out (hence BUILDABLE) So after applying more of the product in areas I needed it most and blending out, this produced worked wonderfully for a nice natural look. Concealed my under eyes and set with a translucent powder and urban decay setting spray and done! It was such a natural look I was really surprised.Typically my foundation settles into my pores - like i have huge pores and blackheads and I'm SUPER new to make up so it's why I've been shopping around. So usually around 2 hours my foundation is setting in and it's gone from my nose which is a huge pore party gross.BUT this foundation...wow it stayed ON. I don't know if it was because of the new setting spray I got or what, but even after sweating and walking around, this foundation did now budge. I have oily skin too and i didn't need to blot or anything for the whole time I was out. I'm really impressed??? Like... my pores were gone and stayed that way till I took off everything. I'll continue to use and hope this wasn't a fluke ahaha. My one complaint... it's such a small bottle. So super small, I'd wait till there's a sale to get the most out of your money, i mean. I know PC gotta make some $$$ but... 20$+shipping for such a small bottle... yikes.
the only makeup I wear

So much to recommend about this foundation. Light, incredibly natural coverage, easy to blend, long-lasting. Superior SPF. It glides beautifully over the Hydralight SPF 30, and looks great on my VERY fair skin. Please never discontinue this product! I know y'all are more geared toward skin care, but this is the only decent makeup with SPF I have found. I apply with a sponge. I bought it for daytime use, but I wear it at night too, because I just haven't found anything that glides on my skin and looks as natural.

Sheer, matte but drying. Almost perfect.

About Me Classic Style
so I'm always trying new foundations. I'd looked at this one for a while and finally decided to go for it. I like except for one thing which I'll get to later.First coverage. It's very very sheer, like I didn't think I had any sheer. But when I add concealor and let it set, I see it has some coverage. Lately I've been going for sheer to medium coverage and I've been getting used to seeing more of my own skin so I actually really like the coverage unless I'm having a bad day. Basically think tinted moisturizer. It evens you out a bit, covers light redness but that's all.Finish is matte. But it's a drying matte. This is where I dock it a point. If it could be matte without being drying it would be near perfect for me. It makes me very flaky around my mouth which is where I tend to get dry.Shade. I'm very fair and best bisque is perfect for me, but there isn't much selection so I think that could be frustrating for many. I'm NC 15, revlon alabaster/buff.Longevity. I'd say 8ish hours. You'd think with it meting so matte it would stay a little longer. I need about 14 hours to last a work day so I do wish it lasted a bit better, but it could be how I'm wearing/products underneath so I'm continuing to expirament with it.Overall I like it and am still working with. I want to love it because the color is good, I like the coverage, it's matte, and fairly inexpensive. I struggle with longevity and the drying aspect. Currently I'm mixing with neutrogena healthy mix which is beautiful but too dewy so it doesn't last. The combo is really pretty so I'm liking that.
I would give you all my money Paula
