Great for dry skin
About Me Natural Style
Comments about RESIST Smoothing Primer Serum SPF 30 - 1 oz.:
I have tried a lot of different primers and this is by far the best one for my dry skin. Make up glides on and stays on.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I wouldn't purchase this again
I really wanted to love this product, but I just can't. For me, and this is just my impression, I need a primer that is matte and non-greasy. Perhaps it's because I have combination skin, but I find that I need to blot more throughout the day when I use this primer as opposed to others. It's heavy and greasy upon application as well as tacky. I am going to try it a few more times but I might be returning it soon.

I was super excited about this product. And it did not disappoint. My only concern is that the instructions direct to use a very small amount, which is great, except that I am worried it does not provide enough SPF coverage if used so little. So I think using a moisturizer with SPF or a foundation with SPF is still a must.

I got this as a free sample with an order. I was excited because I had been eyeing it since it came out and I do love most other Paula's Choice products. I loved the fact that it had SPF in it, because my current foundation does not. The first thing I noticed was how greasy it felt. It felt soooo oily on my skin. Now I have dry skin. Especially in the winter. So I wasn't too concerned about it. It did dry down pretty quickly. But to be honest, it did nothing to make my make up look any better or last any longer. Then I noticed a pimple after wearing it for 2 days. Then a few more. It pretty much clogged my pores and broke me out. So disappointed. But at least it didn't cost me anything, so no harm done.

Where have you been all my life?
from Austin, TX
I've been looking for the perfect primer for what seems like ages, and this is it! It smooths fine lines, applies with ease, and helps keep my makeup in place all day. And it does all that without being sparkly, leaving a tacky finish, or any of the other cons I've noted with other primers. Be aware that when applying it, you really don't need much. They recommend a pea sized drop, but I can get by with even less. Thanks for an amazing product, Paula!

I've used Paula's products for years and have loved just about everything I've gotten. I've never written a review before for any products although I should have. I had to write one for this primer. It is wonderful. I hate to say I never used sunscreen on my face unless it was in makeup I was wearing because I couldn't stand the way it felt but this primer is amazing! It will replace my Benefit Porefessional. For those of you that think it is greasy, you only need a very small amount for your entire face and it absorbs really well but leaves just enough grab for my mineral powder foundation to adhere to. Love, love, love it. Please don't ever stop making this primer!
Delivery was fast as usual. Everything was in perfect condition upon arrival.

Not a stand alone sunscreen!
I love Paula's skincare products and have been a fan since the first book. I don't wear foundation, just SPF 30 moisturizer and was thrilled when I learned about and tried this product- finally no white residue from the sunscreen.I was surprised and disappointed to learn from customer service that it is not meant to be used as a stand alone sunscreen. While I know that it is advertised as a primer, it should be stated in the description that it should not be used without another sunscreen for outdoor use. the Customer service rep said you would have to use too much and your face would be greasy looking if you use enough to wear alone as a sunscreen.4 stars because of the lack of this warning. If it could be worn alone and be sun protective- I would give it 10 stars! The customer service person recommended another PC product to try that would be OK to use alone- and I will try the recommended product: SKIN BALANCING Ultra-Sheer Daily Defense Broad Spectrum SPF 30, but Paula is so keen about protecting your skin from the sun that the fact that this is not to be used as a stand alone should be spelled out instead of not mentioned at all.

Not for oily skin
from Chicago, IL
I have super oily skin and rely on Paula's BHA products. I had high hopes for this product to keep my face matte, but it did not mattify my face at all and an hour later I looked like an oil slick. This isn't for oily skin.
SPF - The only reason I bought it
from Bay Area, CA
Goes on silky but dries down almost matte. Keeps foundation looking better all day. Doesn't break up or get oily like before. SPF is major bonus. So far I am really liking it.
It was here in two days, like always!
