this is my only bha product. clears up my skin very well, no irritation whatsoever. no redness no scaling and takes care of my KP to boot. practically this, my sunscreen and either some retinol serum or the brightening tratment and that's my routine!!!! i had neglected my skin for about 6 months and it became dull with clogged pores and blackhead city, in 4 days of continual use (just in the evening) i got my radiant skin back! LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS!!!!!!

Unfortunately, this product did not work for me at all. I didn't notice any improvements in my blackheads or pores. More worryingly, when I applied it (lightly) to blemishes, they dried out to the point of cracking, and now in multiple cases, have scarred. I have never gotten scars from acne before. I thought that the serum might subsequently work to reduce the scarred spots, but have found that it usually makes the spots red and aggravated, and seems to do nothing to reduce their visibility.

I began using this not long ago to fade some age spots and spots leftover from breakouts (seriously?! I'm 45). It has been effective in fading those, and with clearing pores on my nose.

Paula hit it out of the ballpark with this. There's nothing else like it on the market and compared to what the high-end Sephora or department-store brands would cost, it's not expensive at all. I used this a few nights in a row on some sudden breakouts. I have sensitive, fair, breakout prone combo skin. This product got rid of everything in 3 days without a trace of redness, flakiness or dryness. I really can't believe it. I'd tried everything imaginable for a month with no success before this.

I use the BHA 2% gel twice a day which works great for blackheads but didn't do much for my past acne red marks or new blemishes (especially cystic.) Bought this and I can vouch that it starts working from the first application.

I've been using this serum for almost three months and I have not seen any change in my skin. It also causes pimples. When I skip it in my routine I don't break out in tiny pimples. I'm thinking maybe I should try a different type of exfoliant like the AHA's. I am a new devotee of Paula's but this one is a loser...

This baby really exfoliates. While it does cause some flaking, I wanted to see that to know it was working. I use an eyelid scrub pad on those areas and it removes the flakes post haste. I first bought the sample tube and when I got the full size and had the "too much product issue" I squirted it into the sample tube then took what I needed from there. The full sized packaging also leaked some when I put it in my drawer, so now I keep it upright.

I love this product. While it isn't the miracle cure it is made out to be, it does clear blemishes - almost overnight - as well as any other bumps that appear. It takes the redness away and is both more effective than benzoyl peroxide and much less drying.

After months of window shopping on this site, I finally got a couple of very specialized items. This BHA9 got rid of 90% of my most stubborn spots in ONE application. It's very impressive. Now, for the rest of it, hopefully soon.

I have been using this product, but I don't see a difference. I still get pimples, black heads.

I'm part-way through my second tube of this serum and the results are gradual, but stellar. My skin is so smooth and the pores on my cheeks and nose are much less noticeable. In fact, a co-worker remarked on how beautiful and smooth my skin was looking (I haven't changed anything else in my routine) and then told me that other co-workers thought that I had a little "work" done! I don't tolerate the other BHA/AHA exfoliants well, but this product really works for me. Thank you, Paula's Choice!

I have a problem with blackheads, large pores, and rosacea. I was so hopeful, but BHA9 has done nothing to improve any of these for me. The product feels somewhat oily on the skin, not great for someone with a blackheads problem. I applied it all over my t-zone at night after cleansing and toning but saw no difference. I had such faith that I bought a 2nd tube before I got very far in the 1st one, costly mistake. Maybe it works better for other issues (pimples, milia, spots) but not for mine.

Based on previous reviews, I was hoping this would make a noticeable improvement in my skin. Used the entire container, didn't change a thing.

I bought 2 tubes and after using one, reviewed this product. I was a little disappointed because the results were not noticeable. However, with the second tube, one application made for amazing improvement! My skin looked refined, smoother, less oily, brighter, clearer. I have not changed anything else in my regimen.

It surely does what it says. It worth every penny, and i just ordered a year supply of this baby. It is still CHEAPER than all those irritating garbage which the beauty industry trying to shove in your face.

Ordered the full size after trying the sample because the sample got results the first try. This really does fade old acne scars & keratoses and does a better job than the cream prescribed by my dermatologist. Agree with other reviewers that it's very difficult to get just a small amount of serum out of the bottle; no matter how gently I try, a lot just squirts out all over the place. I've started squirting once into my hand and then applying. Please improve your packaging-then it gets 5 stars!

The Good - After using it for a month I have seen a reduction in time it takes to heal my breakouts and my lines are less noticeable. I feel my skin looks healthier and smoother. The bad - it does feel a little greasy on the skin. The packaging is horrible, and one pump is enough to cover my entire face. There is no way to get half a pump. Not very spot treatment. I do love the product, but I think I will purchase the travel size vials in the future.

Just finished my first tube of Resist BHA 9. The improvement in my skin condition is remarkable. I started with enlarged pores, blackheads, sebaceous hyperplasia, dark spots - pretty much the entire list of conditons this product is supposed to help. Thank you Paula for developing this product, it has been a godsend. I hope it is never discontinued.

I don't think my skin is sensitive. My skin can tolerate 2% BHA liquid, 10% AHA, and retinoid without a problem. However whenever I use BHA9, my skin turns red and becomes very irritated. This is definetely too strong for my skin. And whenever I put this onto my cystic acne it becomes huge the next day and even bigger the day after. This does not help with cystic acne in my case.

I occasionally get a huge, painful pimple on my chin that lasts for two weeks and scars. I got a sample of this to try. I dabbed it on a red lump I saw forming on my chin AND IT WAS GONE OVERNIGHT. Seriously. I have since used it on several other cysts and they all stopped in their tracks within 1-3 nights. No redness, no flaking, either - I could still use makeup. It also flattened a small flesh-colored bump on my forehead that has been there for years and survived Retin-A! Buy this!

Over the course of a couple months I applied it pretty regularly every night to my sebaceous hyperplasia bumps on my forehead. At first they seemed to grow and almost look like a whitehead and finally, it started to get sore and I was able to do a small extraction and it's GONE. This is a bump that has been on my forehead for years and i had removed previous ones with lasers. I'm actually so excited to have a solution -- but you must stick with it for weeks. Also - it's a great zit zapper!

I never get "normal" pimples, I always seem to get those under the skin, raised, painful lumps. And for whatever reason I just can't stop myself from squeezing, which makes it worse (and I know this! What is wrong with me?). This product works great if you catch the forming bump in the early stages. My only complaint is that I can't seem to control the amount that is dispensed. You only need a dab of this stuff! For $36 I'd like to be able to dispense just the little dab that I need!

I have a lot of left over 'scars' or red marks left on my face that I could never rid of. I got 2 samples to try out. The packaging is a bit bothersome as when you pulled out the top (no matter how slow you were) some product would always follow the plug and come/seep out when you pulled. Regardless, I went through two samples and saw no results. I decided to order the large size with PC's 100% guarantee and hope if I stick to it longer than 2 samples, there might be a results. Fingers Crossed!!

I purchased this several months ago, and use it once weekly. I'm 59 years old with dryish skin and still have small persistent bumps that develop on my chin and forehead. This stuff works wonders on them! (but too frequent use causes some noticeable flaking). Otherwise, Bravo!

I have been using Paula's choice skin balancing line for a while and was excited to try this new product. Unfortunately, I have not really seen a change since using it. My milia are still there and I have not found it to help heal breakouts more quickly. Maybe I had expectations that were too high.
