Doesn't Make a Difference

Comments about RESIST Weekly Resurfacing Treatment 10% AHA - 2 oz:
I was so excited to receive this product after reading all the rave reviews. I have a pretty good skin care routine now and all I needed was a weekly treatment to finish things off. I have very fair skin and scar easily so I have a lot of acne marks and general discoloration on my face, and a small amount of surface roughness on my chin. After using this twice a week since I bought it I have noticed absolutely no difference in my skin. It tingles when I put it on, and I wear it alone or layered with the moisturizing mask samples I got with my purchase. If anything, it breaks me out. I have not had such bad acne since I started using Paula's products (and after 3 weeks I thought I would be done with purging, and I don't have sensitive skin!) This is not helping any of my new scarring fade any faster or helping with old marks. Very disappointed, would not recommend at all.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Smoothed skin surface overnight
from Los Angles, CA
About Me Minimalist
I am in the process of sampling all the PC exfoliators to find the right ones for me, and recently used two high-concentration AHA's: Resist Weekly (10% AHA) and Skin Perfecting (8% AHA).Both Resist Weekly and Skin Perfecting had similar properties when applied: viscous liquid texture spread easily without being too thin or drippy, inoffensive scent, tingled when applied, became slightly sticky when "dry". Both tangibly reduced the roughness of my skin overnight. If I were to choose based on specifications, I would give a slight edge to Resist Weekly due to its higher level of anti-aging ingredients and slightly more AHA concentration. I think Skin Perfecting is a high enough AHA concentration that I would also consider it a weekly or bi-weekly treatment, and it might be better for those who need just a tad less AHA. Based on price, Skin Perfecting is the more budget friendly of the two. Frankly, based on my short-lived experience, I think it is difficult to go wrong with either.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I love this product. I use it 3-4 times a week in the evening. I've discovered that I experience less irritation when I do not apply my retinol serum after this product. Also, instead of my normal moisturizer, I will use the mask moisurizer from PC. This combination results in no irritation for me. My skin looks and feels radiant, smooth, and refreshed from using this a few times a week. I really love it! The only draw back is a slight egg smell but it dissipated very quickly. It's not a big deal for me at all especially since the benefits are so great. I have loved every PC product I've used. My skin is in the best shape it's ever been in and I know it's from these products plus I follow the advice their staff gives in their videos. It hasn't let me down yet.

I have used the Weekly Resurfacing Treatment in moderation, typically leaving it on for 10 minutes and then rinsing...once or twice a week. Last night, for the first time, I left it on all night. Wow! As the product description says... "Good, good morning"! What a difference. I'm looking forward to the long term effects after weekly all night application. Paula knows what she's doing!

Seems to cause breakouts
By Leslie K
I received this product in early December & have used it weekly for the last 5 weeks. I have mostly dry skin. I always seem to break out a bit after using it. It's not a big breakout, but a few clogged pores. Typically I do not have below the surface type issues with my skin, so I thought the AHA would be a good solution, but it seems to be causing a little more harm than good.

Hard on sensitive skin
Very hard on skin. I use it once a week, but had to discontinue use as my skin would burn and would go all red when applied. It ended up cracking my skin as well and creating red lines due to the potency. Also smells fishy. I would not recommend it.

I really liked the daily BHA, and received this as a gift. I will say the foam is nice, and it doesn't get in your eyes. The only strong (and I do say strong) CON is that this has a very off-putting, almost intolerable, odor. It dissipates after 30 seconds or so, but it's kinda intense. That being said, what a great product that does what it promises: re-surface, helps with scarring, clarity and texture.I get easily irritated skin, and tolerated this with no problem.

Great Product if they can keep it in stock
This is a great product. It would be nice if they can figure out how to keep it in stock. I can buy the dual kit whenever I want but by itself is never in stock when there is a sale. I tried the BHA and it is not nearly as effective for my skin.

This is the best I've tried, ever...and I've tried them all! It is strong, but it is what I want in this type of product. Amazing exfoliation, brightening of skin/tone, clarity. Use atleast 1x a wk,but not daily. 3x is best, for me. For me,best to use at night, alone or moisturize in most dry areas, and a good moisturizer the next morning. Keeps my skin clear and bright. It is strong, but that's what I wanted--strong enough to do what it's supposed to do! If never used this type product, start with lower % or if very sensitive skin, may not be for you. I love it.

Didn't work for me
from Somerville, MA
About Me Beauty Expert
I had high hopes for my first Paula's Choice product, and after reading multiple reviews, thought this product would be right for me. Unfortunately, even using this product 1x weekly broke me out and left my skin red and irritated. As a struggling student, I wish I had used my money to purchase another product ):
