About Me Beauty Expert
Comments about 2% BHA Gel - 3.3 oz:
I has this product come on recommendation from a friend. I suffer really bad breakouts, despite having officially entered my 30s this year! Because cystic acne is always worse before my cycle, I had assumed that it was primarily hormonal.I don't know how, but the 2% BHA gel REALLY helps my acne, aside from the breakouts I get before my cycle. This convinces me that it works, since, before I would breakout consistently, regardless of hormones, so I understand this gel is actually doing something to prevent non-hormonal acne. It has helped immensely with the appearance of large pores, as well. I don't have wrinkles (yet), but I hope it also acts as a preventative precaution for aging.I would definitely recommend this exfoliant gel for anyone who struggles with cystic acne and large pores. Be patient with the product, and understand that NO topical applicant is going to help with hormonal acne - in other words, adjust your expectations for this product and use it to target non-hormonal acne and you will super satisfied!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I use this twice a day and it does an amazing job at keeping blackheads away.I've had blackhead issues since my early teens and this is the first product that has actually worked to reduce the old blackheads on my face and completely get rid of the newer ones.It doesn't, however, get rid of the older, more stubborn blackheads around my nose. Since PC's 2% has worked so well, I'll try the 4% bha and see how it works for those.

About Me Beauty Conscious
I purchased this after reading about how it supposed to reduce redness, enlarged pores, acne, and to even skin tone. For the first few weeks I used this product, I was pleased with the extent to which it reduced my breakouts. I mostly have hormonal acne on my chin and cheeks. After using it a while, however, it stopped fewer and fewer breakouts - the main reason I purchased this.My redness has gotten worse, I have seen no improvement in my skin tone, and my pores are larger than ever. As I said before, I kept using the product despite this because of its ability to treat acne. After a while, that stopped as well.I'm not sure if I bought the wrong product or what but I was very disappointed with this gel.The one thing I will say is it did not dry out my skin like every acne cream does.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Works better than I expected!

First off, I'm a 20 going on 21 year old man. I use this product twice a day, morning and night, directly after cleansing and using a toner to refresh my skin. I noticed an improvement in the look of my skin within a week and a half of using this product and it has only gotten better! My blackheads in that sensitive under-eye/next to my nose area have almost entirely gone away and I haven't even been using it for 2 months. My red marks from acne are fading faster than they were before, popped pimples heal 2x as fast, if not faster, than before I began using this product. The gel texture absorbs into my skin well, but if i don't follow-up with a moisturizer within 2-5 minutes of applying the gel, it makes my skin feel sticky. So just always use a moisturizer afterwards and you're good to go! Definitely try this out!

A Miracle Product

For the past 8 years I've been struggling with hormonal acne and bad skin. I was trying so many products that I ended up destroying my skin's moisture barrier. Until I discovered Paula's Choice while browsing a skin care thread ob Reddit. I ended up ordering this and I use it every day, twice a day, once in the morning and once in the evening followed by my Cerave moisturizer. I also use shine stopper in the AM on my T-zone. My skin has never looked better, I have baby soft, smooth skin and my acne scars are fading more and more. I will be a fan of this product for life, I have never felt more beautiful and confident and I am just so happy to have been able to finally take control of how my skin looks and feels. Truly wonderful and I highly recommend this if you have problematic skin. A year ago, I'd have never felt comfortable leaving my house without make up on. Now I freely go without makeup nearly every day.
I've only been using this for a weeks or so, so I can't really verify any results yet. The stickiness is a huge turn off though. It eventually sinks in but make sure you use it way before applying any makeup...like and hour before.

I use this product EVERYDAY, mostly once a day but sometimes twice a day. Very impressed how it doesn't cause my face to get oily. It certainly helps reduce my large pores. Doesn't prevent acne but absolutely helps heal them up quicker. In love with this product. You should for sure give it a chance! By the way I have acne prone, dry, oily (combination) skin.

This stuff grew on me!

I have oily skin, large pores, prone to clogged pores. At first, I didn't like the slimy texture. I decided to go ahead and give it a try anyway. I like that I didn't need a cotton pad. It has kept my skin crystal clear and smooth, free of breakouts and clogged pores. I don't feel the need to use my clarisonic like I used to in my pre-BHA days. My pores are clear! 2x's a day, I use 2 pumps and spread it on my face, neck, and chest...and wipe the excess on the back of my hands and arms. It's slimy and shiny after you apply, and takes a few minutes to dry. After it dries completely, I can apply makeup over it no problem. This bottle has lasted me a long time! Much longer than the liquid version.

About Me Minimalist
I'm mostly pleased with this product and formula! For a long time I fought dry skin, while also dealing with oil. After I figuring out that the products I was using were causing the dryness, and switching to PC, my skin is so soft! I'm fortunate that I only deal with the occasional small break-out during my menstrual cycle, and otherwise don't worry about blemishes, but I still fight oily skin. I've used the 1% BHA Lotion and liked that- I still use it on days when I feel like I need a little extra moisture boost during these winter months in Ohio. I've had improvement with that, but still struggled with oil so I got the 2% BHA Gel. I prefer to work with gels and lotions over liquids. The gel is manageable and so great to work with, but even after letting it set for several minutes (and at this time, it's been about half an hour) I have a leftover... shine, you could say. It's not oily; my skin doesn't feel slick, but it has a shine to it that only happens when I use the gel. If you are going to bed shortly after applying it, or planning to follow up with a foundation or cover-up, then it may not matter to you. For me, I rarely use foundation (due to my own failure at make-up; I struggle with finding the right shade, and when I do I'm bad at application) so I just got bare-faced daily. Although my skin doesn't FEEL oily, it LOOKS oily due to the left over shine from the gel. It's weird! Sometimes it's nice, because I can think of it as an unexpected highlight; it certainly catches light, but I feel like I look shiny rather than dewy. This could be just me! I've had the bottle just over 60 days and use it about twice a day, only occasionally using the 1% Lotion or 8% AHA just to mix it up, but when I do switch it's only one day a week maybe. I like the way my skin looks and feels otherwise! Maybe I'm not quite oily enough for this texture, since I don't notice that my skin feels oily in my T-zone or cheeks until I'm almost through the work day. I like the effect the 2% has on my skin, so once this bottle starts to get lower I'm going to check out the 2% Liquid and see if that texture is better for me. I have a feeling that I'm a little too combination-skin for this texture since I'm still working on recovering from the dry-but-also-oily skin issue.

About Me Skin Care Professional
I received this product about a week ago and applied it each night after following my night cleansing routine. I noticed no difference for 2 days and 3rd day it started to break me out. I started getting small (red) pimples on my cheeks. I still continued using it and woke up with two huge painful pimples on my chin on 4th day. I do have acne prone skin but this just made it worse. The good part was it really softened my skin and it was moisturizing. And not forgetting to mention, it didn't make any difference to my pore size.
