My Favorite Skin Product!
from Long Beach, CA
Comments about 2% BHA Lotion - 3.3 oz:
This product is a lifesaver. I have normal to dryish skin, and I was previously using an AHA Lotion (not PC). It was perfectly adequate, but nothing to write home about. A few months later I stopped taking my birth control pills and got an IUD. My skin was NOT pleased. I absolutely never break out and here I am at 27 with zits all over my forehead. I decided to switch from AHA to BHA, to this lotion in particular, and my face cleared up almost overnight. I know its 100% due to this product because if I miss a few days, bam a zit comes in. On top of that my skin looks smoother and more even. It's gotten to the point where I won't go anywhere without this product. I am so happy I found this!

Super disappointed with the new formula
By Kyla P
from Toronto, CA
I purchased the old formula about a year ago, and it was amazing! It would work wonders under makeup, absorbed quickly, and lived up to all the hype that led me to purchase it in the first place. This new formula doesn't absorb as well, is a bit sticky and it more of a gel than a lotion. PLEASE bring back the original formula. Why mess with perfection.

Not a fan of the new formulation
from New York, NY
I loved the old product, and have been using it for years. It totally got rid of my acne, everyone compliments me on how my skin is perfect! It was very soothing and moisturizing. The new formulation is more like a gel than a lotion, very drying to my already dry skin. Even using the heavier PC moisturizers on top of it, my skin still ends up dry after an hour or so. If the lotion is turned into a drying gel, why have the lotion formulation at all? I want the old version back!
from Park Ridge, IL
If I didn't want a LOTION, I would have bought another formulation. I wasn't even aware that it had changed when I purchased it. I don't like it at all. I will try using my bottle in the summer to see if I like it any better. If you call it LOTION, it should be a LOTION. You already have a gel.

So much better than before
from Los Angeles, CA
I love the new formula of the 2% lotion. It's more of a gel-lotion consistency now and it absorbs faster than both the previous lotion iteration and current 2% gel formula. The old formula took long to rub into the skin and this one melts in.I have oily skin and don;t find it too moisturizing and I think this is the easiest BHA formula to use.
NOT improved, NOT for dry or sensitive skin.

About Me Mature Skin, Moderately Sensitive Skin
The old formula was better for me - did what it said (clearer skin, better skin tone, smaller pore appearance, soothing and moisturizing. Made skin feel as soft as can be - overall appearance and feel improved much.) This one is more drying, not soothing. (Some notable changes to the ingredients list.) Plus, the older formula was $10 less expensive (in all fairness, I bought it in 2014 - though I was still using it right up until about a month ago.) So sad. Wouldn't buy this one again.

smells like nail polish remover
from St Paul, MN
The smell is so awful; seriously smells like acetone nail polish remover. It's hard to use it bc of it. May just throw away as I am not sure it is making a difference anyway. I think fragrance-free is a mislabel and PC should label as 'no fragrance added'. To summarize: the smell is awful.
New formula is a major disappointment
I am a devoted PC user, and used the old formulation daily. The new formula is unpleasant and mucoid in texture. Also smells more like chemicals. It is not as comforting to the skin, because you have taken out squalane, an excellent natural emollient and texturizer, and bisabolol, which calms the skin. Added is butylene glycol, a ?(cheaper) ingredient, synthetic petroleum product. If I wanted this, I would buy stuff at the drug store. Please return to the old formulation!
Old formula better

Old formula way better this one sucks
Old Formula Better
from Fort Worth, TX
The old formula was perfection - repeat buy, holy grail status, and the product that kept me coming back to PC. I actually thought the new formula was a curdled, bad batch of the product. So bummed to realize this is intentional. Such a foolish mistake on the part of Paula's Choice! Dryer skins had no problem with the absorption of the old formula, and you already had a liquid version for oil skins, so I do not understand the logic. If you bring back the old version, I'd happily return. As it stands with the new one - you've lost my interest in your brand as a whole.
