Comments about CALM Repairing Serum - 1 oz:
I so wanted this product to be right for me as most PC products are just what I need. But like the reviewer below me I was a huge fan of the Clinical serum for redness/irritation. It was an automatic go-to in many situations. It has, alas, been discontinued. This replacement serum is irritating on my skin--the more it stays on, the more irritated my skin becomes. Kind of the opposite reaction I am seeking. Sure wish the other serum would come back or this one could be tweaked. Glad for the people this does work for--lucky you!
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

PLEASE bring back the either the Clinical Instant Calm Advanced Redness Relief or the Skin Relief Treatment...The aforementioned Clinical product worked so well!!! Too bad...Don't shop Paula's Choice much anymore. All my favorites have been discontinued!..The Clinical product was a jewel.

Good when you mix with a moisturizer.
I ordered this product because I have always wanted to try an antioxidant serum but with my rosacea/sensitive skin I was kind of hesitant because lately everything seems to burn my face. So when I saw the Calm serum I decided to try it. I was disappointed at first because it did burn my skin but I didn't want to give up on it so I tried mixing it with the Calm moisturizer for normal/oily skin and it worked! No more burning! I put the moisturizer in my hand and then 2 pumps of the serum, mix them together and put them on my face over top of my 2% BHA gel at night time only because Im too oily for moisturizer in the day time and I wake up with softer and smoother skin than I have ever had in my life.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Good if you know where to apply it
from The Netherlands
I started out by using this product on my face. I have acne-prone, sensitive, dry and oily combination skin. I was hoping for this product to have an effect on my existing acne but it didn't make much difference. HOWEVER, when I decided to apply it onto my chest area where I sometimes suffer from stubborn acne and I have marks left from previous outbreaks, I saw results by the next day. My skin was more even, and since the product is lightweight it didn't clog my pores.I therefore recommend this product to improve acne scarring! But not so much to improve the acne itself.

Did nothing for my skin
from New York
It took me 4 month to finish the bottle and I waited another two weeks to see how my skin would react to not having this serum. I have combination skin with rosacea. This serum didn't make my rosacea worse however it didn't make it better. I didn't notice any improvements whatsoever. It's lightweight and runny but it sat on my skin without getting absorbed. I would wash my face hours later and could feel being washed away. The serum looks good on the paper with all the right ingredients but it didn't do anything for me.

Finally an antioxidant serum that doesn't break me out!
from New Orleans, LA
The search is finally over. This is the antioxidant serum I've been waiting for. It's good for rosacea and acne. It lessens red marks and soothes sensitive, easily irritated skin. And it doesn't break me out like all other serums seem to. Dab a little extra on a recent zit and watch the redness fade overnight! Highly recommended.

Silicone free -- yes!

About Me Beauty Expert
Super happy to have found a serum without silicones. While silicones don't cause problems for most people, my skin is not a fan. I like using this serum with the retinol booster at night. If you use during the day it can make skin look dry unless you use a heavy moisturizer with it. But it calms me. Please keep it silicone free. Cost is high - maybe PC could figure out a way to bring cost down without sacrificing quality.

Don't want to be without it
from Minneapolis, MN
Effectively reduces redness and evens out my skin tone. I ran out for a couple weeks before reordering, and that's when I realized what a big difference this has made for my skin. The texture has good slip and spreads easily, while lightly hydrating and softening. I've also used First Aid Beauty's Hydrating Serum, but I recommend PC's serum as it's been more effective for me.

Been using approx. 1 month. Love texture and finish and feel. Eventually, however, I notice dry/tight feeling through a day's wear, even layered with Skin Recovery SPF 30. Definitely calms my skin and reduces redness. Lightweight texture blends well with other products (boosters, moisturizers). Worth sampling for redness/sensitivity but mature or dry types will need more moisture or anti-aging ingredients.

I like the ingredients. It is lightweight doesn't give me acne and soothes my skin esp. after green clay mask.
