About Me Beauty Conscious
Comments about SKIN RECOVERY Antioxidant Serum with Retinol - 1 oz:
I love this serum, but I really don't think it fits in the "Recovery" line. It's extremely rich and the next morning after use my skin looks amazing and plump. However, when my skin is irritated, this is not something I would use because it's not really soothing and does nothing to calm skin that I have noticed. But, if your skin is dry, this is terrific, and I prefer this to the Resist serum in dark blue tube.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Extremely Hydrating !
from Ottawa, Canada
Love this product. It is a thick serum but once you apply it to the skin it starts to melt into a smooth oil consistency. Don't apply to much - a pea size amount at most. Give it a little bit to sink in before applying moisturizer. Your skin will glow !!!

Other PC serums are so much better

About Me Minimalist
I really disliked this serum, and while I love Paula's Choice and literally own half of the items they produce, the near 5-star rating here makes me highly skeptical of the legitimacy of the review system here.I started out with the ultra-light serum, and should have gone with the old "ain't broke don't fix it" adage. But I wanted to try the others out of curiosity, and figured even if I didn't like them as much I would at least get through the bottle and then go back to the other. This serum is so yucky feeling that I can't use it without mixing it into another thick cream, and even so I hate the heavy, sticky-oily feeling it leaves on my face. I have combination skin and am not afraid of using products with oil!I have tried 3 PC serums:- Skin Balancing: this one comes in second place, as it is good but has way too much silicon in it... might be good if you are also using this as a primer, but I like my products separate),- Skin Recovery: Not a fan of this serum. I have frequently included oils in my routine, but the oily texture of this one is yucky. Would not buy again- Ultra-light: like 3 little bears and porridge, this one is perfect. My favorite PC product of the whole brand.Disappointed that it was so off-putting that I couldn't even bear get through the bottle before going back to my ultra-light.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I was actually using the Resist serum for dry skin, because I was trying to avoid the use of retinol, but I've since given in--I'm hoping for the better. This product glides on effortlessly and seems to absorb better into my skin than the Resist for dry skin. It feels easier to spend the money on something that seems to produce visible results--I've only been sold on the concept of skin serum in the past few years. This is possibly the best I've ever used!

from Bath, UK
I tired this serum in the night before going bed, It was very smooth and not gressy at all. I was very pleased to see my skin looking and feeling greta the next day. To my suprise, it work well on my oily skin and didnt give me any break out! excellent!

The only thing that doesn't burn
I've been using this product on and off for years, and always liked it. Still,I wasn't sure it was any better for me than other PC serums. How wrong I was!I have EXTREMELY sensitive skin, much more so over the last year. Almost anything can cause severe contact dermatitis, making my eyelids so red and swollen, as though i've been crying for a week, or my neck look like someone took a cheese grater to it.The skin gets flakey, and everything, even the mildest eczema cream formulated for babies, leaves my skin feeling burned and worse than it did before I started. My skin is also too dry to leave it bare. This is the ONLY product (aside from pure jojoba oil) that leaves my skin feeling soothed. For whatever reason, even the many other PC moisturizers and serums I've tried, result in a painful burning feeling, even the skin revovery mask. What a relief to finally have something that helps insteads of hurts.

About Me Beauty Conscious, Minimalist
I tried the Skin Recovery Mask, which was amazing, but something about this product doesn't match the mask. I think this leaves my skin looking oily, even tho it absorbs well and doesn't brighten my skin like the mask. That's why 4 stars instead of 5. However it did help with my hyperpigmentation, redness and hasn't made me break out at all. I love this serum and I'm so grateful because i thought my skin would never recover from my severe cystic acne breakout.

I'm that person that resist the added beauty treatments. I received a sample with purchase on one of my orders. I'm ever so grateful. I hate the added steps because at five A.M. I am sleepy. This extra step and cost is worth it. I have dry patches on my face that have been stubborn to get rid if until this product. I really hate having to add to my routine but this product is now a normal part of it. It glides on an sinks in. I love the feel the texture and how it does not leave a heavy feeling. It is light in feel but luxurious texture. I use it night and day. I'm a true convert.

I'm sorry I ever tried anything else

About Me Skin Care Professional
Love this serum! I have slightly dry, combination skin. I only really get oily around my nostrils and between my brows. I got contact dermatitis from using scented detergent in my facial towels, and this helped saved my skin. I am prone to whiteheads on my cheeks, but got those eradicated with a combination of Paula's AHA and BHA products. I am an esthetician, and PC is a godsend in a world of false-promises, unrealistic expectations, and smarmy sales-pitches like "cosmeceuticals"... I am waiting with bated breath for Paula to open a counter at the Nordstrom Houston Galleria ;) I "sell" so much to my clients and friends, some have asked me if I hold stock in the company! I digress... This serum is as perfectly velvety as it is an ideal "beauty oil" consistency. It gives a luminous shine to my skin and absorbs wonderfully. This is not one of those products that has an immediate impact, but it is bursting with good-for-skin ingredients in a formula that agrees with my skin type. The big changes come from my exfoliants and treatment products, this is one of those essentials that doesn't make a dramatic difference until it has been used for a long time. This makes my skin feel healthy, gives it a healthy glow, and wears under makeup beautifully!

Not for my skin type
After reading reviews and chatting with an online agent, I was very excited to try this serum. I have red cheeks because of roseacea. Unfortunately, this serum did not do anything for me. My skin felt more dried than usual after applying it.
