This shave gel is far better than any other on the market. the transparent gel makes it easy to track your skin, avoiding damage. I am usually allergic to shaving ingredients but this product have proven to be excellent to my sensitive skin. The only problem is that you need to take a generous amount every time using it. The package should contain more of this great product.

Tried a sample size of this shave gel. It has a greenish gel like consistency that applies clear on the face. I don't mind that it does not foam or lather as I can still see the areas where I shaved and where I still needed to shave. I just want to tell potential users that I believe you need to apply a very generous amount in order to achieve a nice smooth, comfortable shave, especially if you have a heavy beard. Maybe a thicker formulation would be more desirable.

My husband has fibromyalgia and has difficulty with a lot of traditional men's skin care products, they traditionally have a lot of fragrance and irritants. I purchased this shave gel for him and within a week he was a convert. For the first time his face is not red or irritated.

I've been using this shave gel for three months and really like it! It is by far the best shave gel I have ever used and prefer it over creams that can be very messy. The only product I have found that beats this gel is Paula's Choice conditioner, which can be used for shaving and is a little thicker than this gel. Also, one bottle has lasted me three months, and I shave my legs everyday!

My man says to tell you all he really really likes this product. He has coarse hair, multidirectional, that tends to get in-grown around the jawline. He loves how smooth the razor glides over those problem areas and says the gel rinses off so easily! No mucking about in the sink to try and unplug your razor. We bought a full size and he's a happy camper! Much better than drugstore and even professional Salon/Barbershop products. Will definitely keep ordering.

I've been experimenting with "wet" shaving for a while, using a safety razor. Part of this journey is the challenge of finding the perfect shaving cream. I love this shave gel. It's light and slick. It feels great on the skin. Like all of Paula's products, there are no irritating ingredients. I'll never understand why so many products for men must include menthol and other things that inflame my face. Not this gel. It's perfect. Feels great. It goes on fairly clear, so you can't see where you've shaven the way you can with a white shaving cream, so it may take you a while to get used to it.

I bought this for my man, and kept it for myself. No mess, no irritation, no dryness and of course, good value...well done Paula! I'm not heartless - I bought my fella another tube - he thinks it's the best thing he has ever used. He has thick, stubborn Mediterranean hair and he likes a close shave. He has been happy with a Lush product that's no longer made, but since having this he is even happier, he said to me, "It's incredible, it's like the razor doesn't even touch my skin!"

I ordered this product after reading a review from a person which used the same products as me (Nivea Sensitive shaving gel) and said he had great results with it. Ever since I started shaving (about 5 years ago) I have been having problems with my skin, from awful razor bumps on my neck to frequent breakouts caused by harsh cosmetic ingredients. When i first applied the gel I was quite skeptical - it's invisible, non foamy and it just seemed like it wasn't doing anything. After using it the second time I realized how great this product is. The gels thickness enables the razor to glide across the skin without causing any irritation. I don't mind that you can't see where you already shaved - if you've been shaving for a while you know your shaving routine! The only bad thing I can say about the product is that it tends to slightly dry out my skin that's why i also use an after shave balm. Great product!

After reading all the positive reviews, I thought I'd give this to my son, who has sensitive skin. He found it very runny and hard to use, so I gave it a try. The results were the same. It's very thin, and I found I had to use a lot of product to cover the areas I wanted to shave. I also found that it didn't leave as much of a barrier as regular shaving foam, so the shave was not comfortable. I am a huge "Resist" fan, but am disappointed with this product. This stuff is pretty great - one of the most comfortable shaves I've had, even with an old razor. It leaves my legs very soft. I wish it were a little thicker, but it does do the job. I like it better than anything I've used from the drugstore - no surprise, given my experience with other PC products!

I used to use this on my legs, which are very sensitive. It is a little thin and not very moisturizing, but it worked pretty well. I have switched to a drugstore product that is thicker and still fragrance free, I may someday try the PC product again since my drugstore product is becoming hard to find (difficult to find shaving creams without fragrance!)

I have dreaded shave day since the day I started. As a man I call it the male curse. I mean really, what should be expected when you smear your face in a foam or gel and then slide some cold hard steel across it, and then expect to have no irritation or bloodshed. Well, now I do every time I shave with this gel, followed with skin balancing toner and redness relief treatment. These 3 products have made my terror of shave day a mere memory.I actually do not dread the shave day anymore.I'm now looking forward to the smooth soft comfortable skin afterward. I love this product. It gives a really smooth shave for legs/bikini/arm pits and has a gel texture which is divine. But, this is the least economical product I own by Paula's Choice. This tube lasts 6-10 shaves when shaving your legs (one of my friend's says 6, I say 10--if you think about it that's only 0.6 ounces to shave everything, and that's not a lot. The sample size is 0.15 ounces, which I find you can maybe do one leg with on a stretch). It might be economical enough for men shaving just their face, but I wouldn't recommend it for women if you want to save money. I get one bottle of Paula's face wash and it lasts me all winter, yet this will last me maybe 2 weeks. It says you don't have to use a lot, but I think you should use at least a quarter to half-dollar size for each leg to avoid nicks and make a nice smooth surface, because it's pretty diluted and watery. I wish it were thicker. I have found another brand that's pretty thick and lasts a lot longer. I would prefer this stuff, but I can't afford it!

I purchased samples of this product and was amazed. I've never had a shaving experience like this before. My razor glides smoothly and there is absolutely no irritation or razor burn. I plan on buying a full size soon.

This shaving cream is pretty much on par with similarly priced drug store options. I actually prefer every man jack over this. That said, if you're upgrading from the pressurized can variety of shaving cream this or any similar tube cream will be a significant improvement.

I used my free sample of this exactly *once* and bought a bottle an hour later. It's great!I can't speak to how it would work for women's shaving areas, but for a beard it's a nearly perfect product. I've always used Nivea For Men shaving gel with great results but thought I'd give Paula's Choice a try since it was a free trial option with my last purchase. So glad I gave it a try.The fact that it goes on clear takes some getting used to, as others have said, because you don't always know where you've already shaved but it's not that big a deal. Left my face feeling soft and irritation free. Give it a try - even if it's just a trial sample.

After using drug store shaving creams and gels with mixed results, I decided to give this product a try. All I can say is i love it! I have a coarse beard and can use the Close Comfort Shave Gel with no problems. I think it gives me the closest shave I've ever had. The gel rinses clean from my 4-blade shaver without any problems. I highly recommend this to everyone.

i have been trying and searching for a new shave gel after my last product went up by 200% every 6 months! i am wanted to ensure quality ingredients with no parabens etc, scents or cehmical to make it foam up. This product is amazing! one of the closest shave and you use so little i am amazed. Many of the reviews of the new blend did not sounds good, i am glad i took the chance. it's amazing!

Goes on easy. Easy to shave. Much cheaper than Zirh or Anthony Logistics with better results.

Reading the other reviewers unhappiness about the reformulation, I realize that I have not had the same problem because I use Venus with the lubrication bar on it and I have no problems with nicks or irritation. I like that this gel doesn't smell to high heaven of perfumes like other shave products, men or women's, and I like that it is environmentally friendly and not tested on animals. I have used this for several years and feel it is worth the price and I am used to the no lather experience.

I thought I would try this shaving gel, despite some of the negative reviews about it. Unfortunately, I too have to say that this is an unsatisfactory product. The product has no lather, is quite thin, and does not protect from razor burn/rash. I also have to use a fair amount of it each time I shave my legs. I am very disappointed with it. This product is a total waste of time and money. It's a gel that DOES NOT lather up and it's a pale green color out of the tube. When you put it on, you can't see where it is or where you've shaved, it clogs up the razor, and it dries out before you've finished. Today it left me with little tiny bleeds all over my legs . . . right before it went in the trash can. Totally useless product, Paula shouldn't be selling it.

I'm very happy with this product, especially since you changed the formulation to make it a bit thinner. Goes on and comes off much more easily.

1. It is hard to see on your skin so it is hard to see where you have shaved.2. It clogs my muti-blade Shick Quatro razor.3. The razor doesn't glide as well as with products like Kiss My Face. 4. The resulting shave is not nearly as close as I got from previous shaving creams and gels.I dislike this product so much that after four tries, I am going to get rid of it.
