needs new packaging
Comments about RESIST Dark Spot Eraser 2% BHA - 1 oz:
This is a good product. It really does work well. But, PLEASE put it in different packaging! It is such a mess to use, I don't want to purchase it again. A bottle with a dropper would be wonderful and I would be a returning customer, because an effective brown spot lightener is hard to find.

Reduces acne scarring but not much else
from San Francisco
About Me Beauty Expert
I've used this for over a year and I'm finally giving up. It does reduce the brown spots caused by acne and it's a good exfoliant. That's about the extent of my Recommendation. It doesn't get rid of sun damage, after over a year of use my stubborn freckle has barely faded and my other damage has stayed the same. It does not work on skin darnkening caused by pregnancy and menopause. It is a gel so it does not blend well with makeup and is best for nighttime only. Also, because my middle aged hormones pump out grease it's not strong enough as an exfoliant for daily use. This would probably work for you if you have young oily/ normal combination skin and a few light acne marks you want to get rid of. But for this stage in my life it does not nearly do the job. Will not be buying again.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Reaction to product

About Me Minimalist
I used the product once or twice daily for two weeks. After 1 week, I found that I was breaking out in small pustules, similar to pimples. I believe it is due to the gel formula. I have hade the same reaction to Murad. I hoped this would work because of the difference in scent; this smells much better. On the other hand, it did start to light the sun damage.
Great for Brown spots
I have used this product for a while now and it is one I cannot do without. I now use it mixed with the 10% niacinamide booster and my skin has never looked better. I just add 3-4 drops to this. I have hormonal acne, really oily skin and melasma. This helps lighten, plump and smooth my complexion.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I'm very dissapointed with this product. It made my pimple marks darker and it's horrible. I do not recommend.

About Me Beauty Conscious
I've been using Paula's Choice for well over a decade. I love this product. I've lived at the beach since 2001 so you can imagine some of the things I've put my skin though. Well, at around when I was 28 I decided to use sun screen. Best decision ever. My skin has some brown blotchiness, a red mark, and the uneven skin tone. I used this product on my face and my upper chest and WOW! It has definitely lightened my skin tone on both of those areas. It's done a great job evening out those areas. My skin seems a little more plump too. I can not stress this enough SPF!! All the time when using this product and I'm talking over 55 SPF. If you're really smart you'll use 100. Otherwise you will make it worse.

Another excellent PC product!
By Long-time PC fan
from Los Angeles, CA
I have been using this product as the second step (after toner) of my daily skincare routine for 1.5-2 years and I LOVE it! Throughout the years, I've experimented using different BHA formulas by PC for my oily, break-prone skin. Now I can confidently say that I finally found the BHA formula that works best for me. It is lightweight and silky when applied, and it takes a minute to dry. I actually get excited every night when I apply this product because I know that I will wake up the next morning with beautifully soft, even-toned skin with reduced pore visibility. When I get a breakout, this product does a great job of minimizing the time it takes for the blemishes to heal and fade. This formula changed my skin and my life for the better! The only drawback is the packaging- it does not provide a controlled way of dispensing a tiny amount of the product, and sometimes this causes product to be wasted.

too soon for effects, slight packaging flaw
from Western Massachusetts
My only real complaint is that the tube doesn't let me squeeze out a small enough amount. I have to waste some each time. It may be helping with small spots. Too soon to know for sure. I am glad to keep trying. I'll wait to decide if I'll purchase it again or not.

Makes brown spots seem darker
from Walnut creek ca
I applied this to my chest hoping that the sun spots would lighten. However in the morning I would notice they are more present after I use this.

Good for dark spots from acne, not for melanin discoloration
from San Francisco, CA
When I switched to non-hormonal birth control, within months I had a dark discolored patch above my upper lip. I did some research, and decided to try this. I applied it only to the spot on my upper lip religiously for about a month, but it cause the area around to become much lighter, so now I have a bleached skin patch that makes the dark spot even more noticeable. I tried this on one or two newer dark spots from recent outbreaks, and they faded much faster than they would have on their own. So it's good for that, but no success with deeper discoloration from within. Annoyed that this made the problem I was buying it to treat even more noticeable. Guess I'll have to try laser.
