Nice cleanser, but too harsh for my eyelid dermatitis
About Me Brand Buyer
Comments about HYDRALIGHT Cleanser - 16 oz:
I have sensitive skin, but I've had good luck in the past with Paula's Choice products. I have eyelid dermatitis that flares up if the wind blows the wrong way, and one of the main culprits is face cleansers. I never wash my eyelid area. Even so, a little bit always gets on my eyelids when I rinse off the soap no matter how careful I am. This product felt great on the areas of my face that I applied it to. I think it it probably best for people whose skin is at least a touch on the oily side -- my skin is normal to dry and I found it to be just a tad more drying than I like, but it didn't cause skin flakes or anything. However, my eyelids started flaring up almost immediately after I began using it. I gave it a week to see if my skin was simply adjusting or to see if it was a fluke, but as of today I'm discontinuing use. I would recommend this to a friend as long as s/he does not have eyelid dermatitis.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

About Me Budget Buyer
I was really upset to see this discontinued last year. I tried many paula's skin product. But this particular product is really a keeper. I tried the one that replaced this product and was not happy with it. So glad to see them selling this again! I have been using it since 2012 and ever since, I tried other cleansers(kiehl's, fresh, biotherm, obagi, etc...) but this always was a better fit for me than others. I have dry/combination skin type with rosacea. After using this product, it gives a little bit of brighter skin tone, reducing my redness. The cleanser is very gentle. I only use sunscreen. No makeup. I also use chemical exfoliant cleanser from another brand twice/once a week to exfoliate. And am in my late 20's. Hope this helps.

I keep buying this cleanser
from rural Kentucky
I use this twice a day, winter and summer. I used to buy an Arbonne product that was excellent, but very expensive. This Paula's Choice product cleans my combination skin equally well, and improves the texture of the oily areas at my nose and chin, to smooth them, just like the more expansive brand. I also use this to clean my eyes instead of using baby shampoo, and it works well to break up pore blockage there.
My products are always delivered in good shape and very quickly.

Such a great cleanser!
I love this cleanser!!! It has the most lovely texture. It is so gentle on the skin. There is no odor. It doesn't sting. It is so nice for very sensitive skin. I like it better than the Calm Cleanser. I remember when the Moisture Boost cleanser had paragons. Paula slightly reformulated it to leave those out. Can that be done with this product as well? It is just so nice.
WHAT IS IN THIS WONDERFUL CLEANSER?
Let me tell you, this cleanser is the BOMB! Please NEVER discontinue this again. I have at least 5 expensive cleansers in my arsenal and still have not found my holy grail until now. I get skin allergies really bad in the winter and this soothes and calms them and never dries me out like the others. One suggestion though...You need the bottle to read "For All Skin Types". Thank you, Thank you and Thank you very much for such a wonderful formulation.
Thank you for bringing back this excellent product line :)
By Hydralight & Moisture Boost fan
I can't thank you enough for bringing back the Hydralight and Moisture Boost product lines. I am so happy. These are the two cornerstone product lines that kept me with Paula's Choice since day 1, and they always provide the best results with absolutely no irritation or tightness, or dryness or redness....and they don't cause breakouts. These are absolutely the two best product lines that you offer (and the best products lines in any skin care line on the market). I'd like to say that I'll be ordering these items right away, but I have a little bit of those products already stocked up from when you announced that you were discontinuing these two lines. Rest assured, when my supply runs out, I will be ordering these products regularly, as I always have done. Please don't ever stop selling these two wonderful product lines.

I am writing b/c of how passionate I am about this line. It was a staple in getting my skin from harsh/irritated to soothed, even toned, & plumped. I know both the MoistureBoost & Hydralight lines got transferred over to "Calm" but the formulations/results aren't the same. I can understand changing the name BUT since the Calm line has a lot of tweaking, I don't understand why such a popular and highly rated line (Hydralight) would be discontinued and replaced with a line that doesn't add up. The Hydralight TONER was UNREAL! It used to get rid of my hives or if I squeezed a black head it would literally deflate the puffiness & calm the redness right down. It would hydrate & my skin WOULD RETAIN IT. The New calm toner irritated & dried out my skin & was offered in a much smaller size. THE #1 PRODUCT I TRULY MISS FROM THIS LINE was the night-time Moisturiser!!! IT was a DREAM LOTION! There's nothing in any of your lines that is similar in texture/consistency nor compares to the results that that specific lotion provided for many customers. The Calm moisturiser for oily skin literally feels exactly like the Skin Balancing moisturiser & doesn't have the same calming affects at all as the Hydralight Lotion did. Why get rid of such a stand-alone unique lotion & replace it with a moisturizer that mimics the function & feel of Skin Balancing? I would've rather seen the discontinue of the SkinBalancing moisturizer as the new Calm Oily one are both so similar in texture/consistency. I feel like had finally found the line that was perfect for my skin & spent so much money & time searching & then it got swiped from me. Was a survey even conducted from your customers to ask if they would be OK with never being able to access the Moisture-Boost nor Hydralight line ever again? "New" is not always better and the Oldies-but-Goodies that got Paulas Choice to where they are today, should always be part of the storyline. Hope both lines are resurrected as the new ones don't compare.
