About Me Beauty Conscious
Comments about CLEAR Acne Cleanser - 6 oz:
This is an amazing product that is great for acne. I use it twice a day and it never dries my skin out. I have always suffered from acne on my face, chest, and back. When I use this consistently I have almost no breakouts, aside from occasionally in the summer when it's really hot out. At first I was reluctant to purchase it, because it's rather expensive compared to drugstore brands. However, I think it's actually quite comparable in price when you consider the size of the bottle. Sometimes it flows out a bit too fast, so just be conscientious of that when using it. You don't need to use a lot, so the bottle lasts a long time. Overall, I think it's reasonable compared to store brand face wash, given it's size and efficacy.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I use the cleanser at least once per day. Twice per day if my skin is oily (in the summer). It's gentle on my sensitive skin and helps to prevent & control acne. Prior to discovering Paula's Choice I struggled with acne all my life. Now finally I have clear skin. I experimented with the various products until I found the perfect routine. I have sensitive skin and I live in Toronto where the winters are cold. In the winter I adjust my routine if my skin is dry. These are my favourite products:Morning:CLEAR Pore Normalizing Cleanser or CALM Redness Relief Cleanser (winter)CALM Redness Relief TonerCLEAR Regular Strength Daily Skin Clearing Treatment With 2.5% Benzoyl PeroxideCALM Redness Relief MoisturizerEveningCLEAR Pore Normalizing CleanserCLEAR Regular Strength Acne ExfoliantSKIN PERFECTING 8% AHA Gel ExfoliantorRESIST Intensive Wrinkle-Repair Retinol Serum
The perfect cleanser
I use this product everyday , and i was amazed by it ,, cleans my face freshly without drying it , somehow it reduced my acne , i've always struggled to find a simple cleanser that does not dry my skin nor make it unclean .. I tried so many and most of them broke-me-out or dried my skin and cause harsh under skin bumps .. This cleanser is perfection for my i took 3 of this and will repurchace it for sure , also the price is good !
not for sensitive skin
I'm currently dealing with sudden cystic acne for the first time at age 31. The frustration! I'm a long-time Paula's Choice fan, so instead of using the ultra-harsh cleansers my dermatologist recommended, I decided to try the CLEAR cleanser first. My skin is sensitive and is on the dry side, so I was already worried about acne-specific cleansers drying me out even further. Unfortunately, this cleanser did just that, along with causing serious irritation on my upper cheeks and all around my eyes. I can't speak on the results because I stopped using it after two uses - I do know from Paula that burning/stinging doesn't mean the product is "working", it just means your skin is irritated! I would advise against this cleanser for anyone with sensitive skin that's already prone to dryness.

Best. Cleanser. Ever.

About Me Minimalist
After battling sensitive and acne prone skin for years, I am so glad to have found this product. This Clear Acne Cleanser provides my skin with the cleansing it needs, day and night, without irritating or drying it in any way. IT WORKS SO WELL (for me). I have an auto-immune disease, so my skin is constantly changing its mood. This cleanser is able to soften my skin, empty my pores, and soothe. This is the first cleanser that, upon drying my face, cools my skin whereas other cleanser make it hot and red. The texture of my skin has also changed dramatically in the three weeks since using this cleanser, for the better. It has a gel like cleansing consistency that spreads remarkably easily. In the shower it foams up slightly, but at night at the sink it does not lather much, but it still cleans my face very well. I use Retin-A after using this cleanser and it works wonderfully. My face feels clean and not dried out. If you have sensitive acne-prone skin, that is sometimes dry and then suddenly oily the next day, try this. Its texture and minimal foaming may be strange at first, but for me, it is the perfect cleanser.
My husband loves this cleanser!
from Phenix City, AL
My husband has normal to oily skin and normally has issues with clogged pores on/around his nose as well as bumps on his head (he shaves his head). When he ran out of his usual cleanser, I gave him a bottle of the Clear cleanser to use. After using it for a week, his pores cleared up as did the small bumps he would sometimes get on his head. It is now his favorite cleanser!

I've only been using this product for a week along with the other products in the clear regular strength kit and have noticed huge improvement in my skin already! My skin has acted crazy lately i inflamed red pimples all along my jaw line and around my temples, huge black heads on my chin, nose, and forehead. And those under skin bumps around my bottom lip. No more bumps have popped up, the redness and existing pimples are almost gone and there has been a huge decrease in black heads. I wish I found this system sooner.

My new summer skin care regimen
By Pat from CT
from Groton, CT
After two months of protracted heat waves and high humidity, I realized my lower T-zone and inner cheeks were a mass of red bumps and disgusting blackheads. Mind you, these go very well with my fine lines, wrinkles and easily reddened sensitive skin - NOT! :-/ In desperation I used some products from the drugstore from the "rip out blackheads" brand and all that did was cause my poor face to rebel by turning red, blotchy and to produce even more oil in the T-zone.Then I did what I should have done - researched products at Paula's Choice. My usual routine involves the Resist line for dry skin with AHA, but the breakouts and blackheads had to go. I ordered samples of this cleanser and of the companion CLEAR regular strength anti-redness exfoliating solution with 2% salicylic acid. After the *first time* using both products the swelling, redness and stinging in my face went down. The red bumps began diminishing, but the stubborn blackheads still hung around. A PC representative recommended I add the Resist Daily Pore Refining Treatment 2% BHA. I'm using the cleanser twice daily, the pore refining BHA in the AM and the CLEAR salicyclic lotion in the PM, followed by serum and moisturizer. With every use of these products things are on the upswing. Thank you, Paula!
Burned and Irritated My Skin
from Las Vegas, NV
I have tried several acne cleansers since I was a teenager. None of these cleansers have ever irritated or burned my skin. The Clear Pore Normalizing Cleanser has been the first acne-specific cleanser I have ever used that has burned my skin. I am thankful that I had the PC moisturizer and serum samples on hand as they helped to repair my skin within a matter of days. I have tried samples of all the PC cleansers and my favorite so far has been the Resist foaming cleanser. I suggest using that cleanser instead as it repairs your skin, makes it look great, and does not have any ingredients that could irritate your skin.
