Finally a cleanser that works for my skin
By Dawn Woodruff
from Knoxville, TN
About Me Budget Buyer
Comments about Skin Balancing Cleanser - 16 oz:
I love this face wash! I have acne-prone, large pores, and very oily skin. This product does a wonderful job of cleansing my skin without completely stripping my skin dry. After the first few uses my skin was no longer blotchy with irritation and bumpy! I was amazed at how calm my skin appeared. I use it morning and night. I have become a fan of this product!!! I have tried nearly every product out on the market and am so glad I found something that actually works well for my skin.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Best cleanser for my combination skin
By Ana, P.
About Me Brand Buyer
I have combination skin (oily, acne prone, with dry patches). Most cleansers, even some others from Paula Choice, leave my face somewhat dry; this one not.I have used it day and night for 4 months as my face cleanser. At night I remove my make-up, hit the gym and wash my face with this in the shower after. When travelling I have used it for my body, just to not bring an extra product; it was nice, but I will keep using my lower cost shower gels.I have tried to remove make-up with this, but the result was not that great. But as a cleanser it is my holy grail; I may try other things, but I will return to this.

I stopped using this for awhile because I thought I was having a reaction to it. Luckily I was not and it was really my listerine and burt's bees balm that I was using at about the same time as I washed my face. I thought it was the cleanser because that was new to me and I was using the others for years but I had developed an allergy to the mouthwash and balm. So glad I can use this now with no issues on my normal skin. Just a tiny bit of water added to a small amount of cleanser and it cleanses my entire face. Easy to apply to my neck also and wipe with a wash cloth. I love this line.

I have tried other cleansers from Paula but always come back to this one. It works very well along with my Clarisonic brush (although when I use a toner there is always a trace of dirt left). Other than that I feel it does a very good job and rinses away clean without leaving my skin feeling stripped or irritated.

My holy grail cleanser!
from Phoenix, AZ
Very rich and creamy. Gentle yet effective. Leaves the skin soft and matte. Reduces and unclogs pores. Everything I need in a cleanser.

Works Great, a Little Goes a Long Way
I have used quite a few of the PC cleasers, but this is the one I always come back to, and use on a daily basis. Both my husband and I have very oily skin, and finding a cleanser that will easily cut through the grease (not to mention my makeup), yet be gentle on the skin was a challenge. (In addition to both of us having oily skin, his is sensitive and mine is breakout-prone.)Some were great for me, but not-so-great for hubby. Others were nice for both of us, but the formula meant we had to use a lot. Then we tried the Skin Balancing cleaser and found something that worked for both of us, but was also surprisingly economical! I buy the 16 oz bottles, and with both of us using it twice a day, it still lasts close to 2 months. Just about a dime-sized squirt is more than enough to cleanse my face. We've been using this for well over a year, so I can vouch for long-term use. :) I always keep an extra bottle on hand, because I never want to run out of this wonderful cleanser!

More than I expected.
So I had purchased this the first time I ordered from Paula's Choice. Have very sensitive combination skin it's been hard for me to find a cleanser that doesn't completely dry me out while actually feeling super clean after use. This product is exactly what I've been looking for, I had to buy it in a bigger size this time. It's also nice that it lasts, a little goes a very long way!

Not for me.
from Sacramento, CA
I bought this because I have combination skin that tends towards oily. When I first got it I liked it. After about two months though my skin started getting so dry after I used it that I had to use four times more moisturizer than usual just to keep it from looking like my face peeling off. I got a hydrating wash thinking I would use it in the morning and this one at night but even that was too much for my skin. I would still recommend this wash to a friend if they had very oily skin as I love Paula's Choice products mostly. This one wasn't for me, but that doesn't mean it's not for you.

Definitely Worth A Try!
from Boston, MA
I tend to have a very oily T-zone, so decided to give this cleanser a try. After several uses (morning and night), I noticed a considerable reduction in the oiliness of my T-zone. My skin looks much better because it isn't so oily looking all the time. I used to go through oil blotting sheets like crazy, and now I may only need to touch up once or twice throughout the day. It's been a few weeks, and I do not notice that the cleanser resulted in a drastic reduction in my blackheads, but it has helped to reduce the size of my pores. I also recommend removing make-up prior to cleansing. I find the cleanser leaves residue behind. Bottom line, it is worth a try.
