    Well...the smell...
    • I ordered a couple of HYDRALIGHT samples to compare with ] my Skin Balancing moisturiser (which I am very happy with). I agreed with some of the user,s the hydralight moisturiser does have a cucumber -ish smell thogh usually Paula's products do not smell much to me. I got over the smell in the end, it did fade after 5-10 mins and I couldn't smell it anymore. So far the lotion is working well and seems very moisturising but I am not sure if I would switch to it just yet.

    Not great for me
    • This is probably a good moisturizer for many but it seems to break me out. (like most) I loved the light scent, it didn't make me shiny & I thought it was working for me. After a month, month & a half use I've backed off using this & have gone back to not using a moisturizer. :(Unfortunately my skin is a little acne prone, & it easily turns red/gets irritated.

Great moisturizer for acne prone skin
    • I have oily, acne prone skin that really begins to take off with breakouts during the hot summer months. This is truly THE only moisturizer out there (and I have tried so many!) that won't break me out, even during the summer. It is also moisturizing enough to keep my skin from drying out during the winter and it gets to 30 below where I live. Great product.

    Nice
    • Bought several samples of this, and a few other moisturizers a while back. Though I already found my perfect moisturizer, this one is very nice too. Moisturizes enough, without being greasy, even now in the hot, humid, caribbean summer. If I should have to stop using my current moisturizer, this will likely be the alternative. Note, I do have to reapply after a few hours, but I recognize that's because my skin is drier now thanks to Differin.

Loved it, but not moisturizing enough for me
    • I bought this since my skin tends to be greasy by mid-day. I LOVE the consistency of this moisturizer, it is super light. My skin felt amazing after putting it on. However, I also purchased the Clear BHA exfoliant at the same time as I purchased this, and after a week, my skin was a bit flaky and dry. I ended up purchasing the Skin Recovery Moisturizer to use at night instead, for added moisture. But I'm still holding on to this one for a day cream when I don't need SPF!

    Good moisturizer
    • I tried the Resist Clear Skin Hydrator and it gave me small white bumps; I'm guessing it was too much for my blemish prone skin. The Paula's Choice team then suggested this. I was afraid it wouldn't be enough for dry skin, but it is. I has a light cucumber scent that I actually really enjoy & find relaxing(it has cucumber in it). Paula has made it difficult to try any other skin care line!

Good for combi skin, stings a little with acne cream
    • I bought Clear Regular Strength Acne, Earth Sourced Toner, Resist C15, Redness Relief, Hydralight lotion, Hydralight Shine-Free SPF30, Shine Stopper together. Smells a little like cucumber.. Not overly moisturizing so not good for really dry skin but good for combination. I use together with the Blemish lotion for example and it stings a little when I put this on.

    Wow!
    • I initially misdiagnosed my skin type as dry/acne-prone and ordered the PC Skin Recovery moisturizer, which sat on the surface of my skin and never fully absorbed. After reassessing my skin type as combination/oily/acne-prone, I ordered this moisturizer and it greatly exceeded my expectations! It hydrates my skin, alleviates my flaky areas, and leaves my complexion smooth and refreshed. I've also noticed a reduction in breakouts. I've never been more confident in my bare skin! Thanks, Paula!

    Hydralight vs. Skin Balancing
    • I originally purchased the Skin Balancing moisturizer and realized that I definitely needed more moisture for my skin type. I exchanged it for the Hydralight and must say I'm completely happy I did! I have fairly normal skin, more on the oily side, and this moisturizer seems to be a perfect balance - not too drying while keeping the oil at bay.

Love it! The smell is very natural...
    • After reading the reviews, I was skeptical that I would be able to tolerate this product since I am normally very sensitive to any product fragrance or scents. This one, however, has a natural scent which dissipates quickly. It also leaves my skin very soft and without any greasiness. I'm so glad I decided to give it a try!

    Doctors orders
    • I started using this moisturizer weeks ago after seeing my doctor for a skin allergy. He said I needed to find skin care products that were fragrance free, with no 'fluff stuff' in them. I gave him the 'say what' face, and explained my self diagnosed skin care/beauty addiction. He laughed and told me about PC products. I ordered several products, and I have fallen in love. This does not leave my skin shiney, but has given me lasting moisture day after day. Thank you so much y'all.

    Unpleasant smell
    • Wanted to love this moisturizer! I was looking for a lightweight moisturizer with some anti-aging benefits. This seemed to fit the bill. At first the scent is pleasantly cucumber-ish, but as it dries on your skin you are left with a strange smell.

Like the moisturizer, just not the bottle
    • I really like the moisturizer, it absorbs quickly and doesn't feel greasy, yet still manages to hydrate the rough areas on my cheeks. My only wish would be for a different bottle/tube. The product is quite liquidy and so once I have some product in one hand I have to put the cap back onto the bottle with the other hand. It can be a bit tricky, but if the cap isn't put back on right away, product starts to leak out. A flip cap would be great.

    Dried Me Out
    • Loved everything I've tried but this. Great brand, really delivers results, but this dried me out horribly. If you're not very oily, I would try a sample first. Not saying product is bad, it just didn't work for me.

Hi Lori! We're sorry the Hydraylight Moisturizer wasn't a fit for you! A quick note, there isn't anything drying in the formula, but it does sound as if it wasn't moisturizing enough for you.  Consider our Earth Sourced or Moisture Boost Moisturizer, and we would recommend contacting our Customer Care Team so they may assist with a refund or credit!

    • Got two samples of it, one had a very light scent from one of the extracts and was lovely, another packet of it i used had that awful smell someone else was talking about on here.

    Soaks in quick
    • Great moisturiser for normal skin. Soaks in quickly and has a lovely natural fragrance. This is a great non-animal testing alternative to those who use Clinique's Dramatically Different- if you can afford the added expense of this little container. It leaves your skin moist and not oily and layers nicely over other products and under a sunscreen.

    Light, But Liquidy
    • I really think that this moisturizer does what it claims to do; however it can be a bit liquidy which leaves the top a bit messy and i sometimes squeeze more than i need to because of the texture. I used this as my moisturizer for the summer and it worked wonderfully.

    The Best
    • I've used this moisturizer as well as other products from the Hydralight and Clear collections for about a year and have really enjoyed them on my oily skin. I recently decided that since my acne has gotten so much better with the use of Paula's products, I could return to grocery store brands. Big mistake! My painful, cystic acne has returned. Needless to say, I'm reordering all of my Paula's Choice products and wont stray from them again!

    Auguri
    • I love the smell, the texture and the results from this wonderfully fresh moisturizer. My acne-prone and somewhat dry skin has responded extraordinarily well to it this winter. My only complaint is that it doesn't come in a larger container. I would jump at the chance buy a 4 or even 6 ounce container just so I could keep slathering it on without reordering quite so frequently.

    love it!
    • I have incredibly sensitive skin, and this moisturizer is so soothing. My skin loves it. I use it with the Hydralight cleanser, and really love it. You have no idea how many different product lines I've tried--but I really love this set, and will stick with it. I tried the sample first, and the sample Hydralight moisturizer did irritate my skin slightly, but the actual 2oz Hydralight moisturizer doesn't at all. I would highly recommend this product for acne-prone, sensitive skin!!

    Not so great for me.
    • I really wanted to like this, since so much of the Hydralight system worked so well for me. For some reason, I found it irritating when compared to the Skin Balancing moisturizer. Could have been some ingredient that's uniquely comedogenic to my skin type. But that's okay, Skin Balancing (whole face) and Resist (for dry, non-acne prone areas only) moisturizers are working great for me these days. :)

    Perfect
    • This moisteriser is perfect for my skin. I have oily/combination and sensitive skin and occasionally get dry patches. The hydralight lotion range absorbes into my skin instantly leaving no shiny or greasy film but fully moisterised. It is also very lightweight which i love. While im here i'll also comment that the Hydralight shine-free SPF version in the same range is also amazing and perfect for summer with the SPF. I highly recommend both for those who have similar skin types.

    Ecstatic of the results
    • I had a minor doubt after reading numerous reviews complaining about the 'strong cucumber scent' but I had no problem with it. I found it to be nice and subtle. It has a very watery texture that absorbs quickly and leaves a semi-matte finish. Leaves skin feeling gently hydrated. Didn't cause me any breakouts and was soothing on my sensitive skin. I'm impressed and will most likely repurchase.

    The best for sensitive skin
    • After getting my aging skins hormonal breakouts under control with a gentle cleanser and benzoyl peroxide, the last peice of the puzzle was a good moisturizer. A customer service rep recommended this one to me and I'm so grateful! It's an amazingly lightweight, perfectly hydrating moisturizer. I too noticed a scent wih my sample packets, but the lotion's results were so fantastic I didn't care! The full size bottles dont have such a strong scent, just a light fresh cucumber scent that I love!

    My favourite PC product
    • I have rosacea and nothing feels quite as soothing as this lotion. It calms my skin even more than the Instant Calm product and I like the very subtle fragrance, which smells fresh to me. II use this every day and every time I go without it I feel/see a difference. It's not as moisturizing as I'd like in very dry environments, but it's still better for my skin than any other product.

What makes this product unique?
Hydralight Moisture-Infusing Lotion is an innovative formula that supplies key ingredients all skin types need, but is specially formulated to be light enough for those with normal to oily or combination skin. This product is 100% fragrance- and colorant-free.

Who is this product for?
Hydralight Lotion is recommended for normal to oily/combination skin. It can be used by those struggling with acne and stubborn dry, flaky patches.

I have normal to oily skin with dry patches. Should I use Hydralight Moisture-Infusing Lotion or Skin Balancing Moisture Gel?

Hydralight Lotion leaves a finish that leaves skin feeling more moisturized than Skin Balancing Moisture Gel. Skin Balancing Moisture Gel leaves a silky matte finish on the skin, and is a better choice for oily to very oily skin with surface dryness or those who need light moisturizing but don't want any after-feel. Both moisturizers work well under makeup.
