Too sheer, not enough moisture
About Me Minimalist
Comments about Earth Sourced Moisturizer - 2 oz:
Wanted a natural product as an every day moisturizer. Was hoping that the shea butter would make this a rich, creamy feel. It's not. It's very light, sheer and somewhat "wet" instead of a cream. It goes on wet and disappears immediately. I don't feel like I got much moisture out of it, or that it would last all day. I guess for myself, I'm looking for something a little heavier weight and all purpose. Non-irritating though, which is good.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

About Me Prefer Natural Ingredient
I used this in the mornings after cleansing, toning, and exfoliation, and before applying mineral makeup. I liked the way it applied smoothly and absorbed well. A little goes a long way. Unfortunately, after using the product daily for over 3 weeks I began to notice more and increasingly larger whiteheads and blackheads, spreading from on and around my nose, to my chin, forehead, and even my cheeks. The blackhead plugs seem solid and waxy. Gross. I began using an all-natural clay mask every 2-3 days to attempt to draw out the plugs, but it did not seem to help. ~ I don't know which ingredient(s) caused the reaction, but I can't use the product any longer. I will try using it as a body moisturizer until the product is used up. Hopefully, the rest of my skin will not have a bad reaction.

Good for oily skin
By Danielle H.
It's quite light and feels good on the skin. In my opinion, it's definitely not moisturising enough for dry skin but it works well for oily skin. That being said I initially applied a lot thinking I needed more but the excess just ends up as waste so I've learned to use only a pea sized amount. If I need extra moisture I use another cream on those select dry patches that need it.

I have very sensitive combination skin prone to breakouts. Normally after applying mosturizer my skin becomes a little red. Not the case with this. So gentle on my skin, light weight, and left my face soft and supple. This is the best mosturizer I have ever used. I use it day and night.

loved at first
By ashly r
I loved this at first but I stoped using it because it always burned around my nose (not because of scent) also my redness calmed down when I stoped using it. I'm kind of torn I like my other cheaper lotion better now but I do love this company.

Among all of PC products, this is my fave. Feels so good on the skin. The only con is it is just waaay too small.

Good but not for a very dry face
By Jessica S.
This product was good however, I have dry skin and to get this product to work I had to add way too much for each application. Sometimes it wouldn't help my dry skin no matter how much I put on. It spread nicely and I enjoyed the the way it felt on my skin. It just didn't hydrate my face enough.

Not much help
By GWEN G.
This moisturizer didn't help my skin. It didn't feel nice on my skin either. I've used worse, but still it made my skin worse.

I can't use most moisturizers because a common ingredient (cetyl alcohol and cetearyl alcohol) break me out. This stuff is a godsend. It was the only normal moisturizer (not a gel) that didn't contain those problem ingredients. I hope Paula's Choice doesn't discontinue this product... or I'll be 'S.O.L.'! I find it moisturizing enough and I only use a tiny drop of the stuff for my whole face. I should note that I use a facewash that does not dry out my skin so I don't need super moisture.

I have normal-dry skin (in winter), 35 years old, and primary skin concerns are aging/wrinkles. I am a big Paula's Choice fan and use a lot of products. I purchased this one since I am nursing and wanted as natural products as possible on my skin. Unfortunately I broke out in small red rash-type pimples on my forehead. I am not sure what the ingredient(s) that my skin doesn't agree with but will be returning. Definitely will swap for another moisturizer but disappointed this didn't work out.
