It’s heaven, but for your face
    • I bought this with the Hydralight kit. While not impressed with the day moisturizer, I LOVE this night lotion. The texture is light, but not runny. It’s not sticky, heavy or greasy, it really just slides on and absorbs in a minute, and then feels awesome for the rest of the night. It’s so hard to find a good night moisturizer for sensitive, extreme combination skin in drugstores. So I’ll be happy to pay a little more for the rest of my life to keep this in my skincare arsenal. Well done!

    disappointing
    • This is supposed to help with redness for combination and sensitive skin, but I find it to really irritate my skin even though I have nonsensitive, combination skin. Much like another reviewer, this burned/stung my skin. On top of that, there is a cucumber smell to this which is bizarre given this company's stance on fragrance in skincare. I love Paula's Choice products, but I really regret purchasing this particular moisturizer.

Hello, and thank you for sharing your experience with us - we're sorry to hear this didn't work as expected for you! Please contact a member of our Customer Care team, who can assist you with a possible exchange or refund. As for the smell, that is the natural scent of the beneficial ingredients used (in this case, cucumber extract, which is an antioxidant). All Paula's Choice products are 100% fragrance-free.

Best lightweight moisturizer for daily use
    • I have oily/combo, sensitive, and acne prone skin and have tried several of PC moisturizers. While I do love her others, like the resist hydrator, this one is by far my favorite. I wear it morning and night, it does have a light cucumber smell but it also 'cools' my skin, great for calming my red skin or after a treatment. I use it on my eyes too without problems. One of the best features of this moisturizer is how luxurious it feels without being greasy. Worth a try.

    Burned my face!
    • This product is supposedly for sensitive skin. For my oily/combination (and, apparently, overly sensitive) skin, it did not feel right. I had to splash my face will cold water to stop the burning effect. I applied it some time after BP 2%, so maybe the BP overdried my face, reacting badly with the lotion. A short time after application of the lotion (once the burn stopped), my skin was super greasy, possibly in reaction to the aversive effect of the lotion.

Excellent moisturizer for aging, acne-prone, and KP-prone skin
    • Now that I am in my forties, I need a product that does more than offer hydration while preventing breakouts. This light and yet nourishing formula does just that. It provides excellent face and eye moisture while working beautifully to enhance my daily vitamin C, retinol, and BHA treatments. It makes my skin feel full and supple without triggering acne. I love the natural scent of the working ingredients (especially the cucumber). Thank you for offering this excellent product!

    Love it!!
    • This stuff is awesome! It moisturizers better than the PC moisturizers for dry skin. I am currently struggling with hormonal acne and this lotion hasn't broken me out after a couple weeks of use. I'm crossing my fingers that I've found my true moisturizer match. In have been looking for a good moisturizer for a long time.

Nice light moisturizer but don't love the scent
    • I like this light moisturizer. It goes on and sinks in well for daytime or nighttime use. However, the scent really throws me off. I may have to explore other PC moisturizers. I hope they don't all smell like this!

    Still my favorite
    • I forgot how much I love this product. My skin is starting to show some signs of aging and I decided I need more "advanced" products, so I stopped using Hydralight for a while. I started using it again a few days ago and immediately noticed a difference. My skin is smoother and just overall healthier looking. This lotion is perfect- light texture and lots of soothing ingredients. For reference, I have very sensitive combination acne-prone skin. I use this product along with the 2% BHA gel.

    • It reminds me of neutrogenas cucumber gel like moisturizer. Except this one moisturizes much better and still maintains a light texture that goes well under makeup and is soothing to skin breaks out and is using retinoids.

the best daytime skin-prep moisturizer for me
    • My skin looks red easily, is prone to breaking out, has fine lines and is easily dehydrated. What I want is something that doesn't ball up, doesn't cause acne or look mask-like. I want soft, non-shiny, plumped skin, a refined texture and I want my make-up to look better. Though I've tried many products, this provides the smoothest, most natural-looking canvas. I add one of the boosters if I need more moisture. The smell is too mild to be of consequence. I don't get the fuss about it.

    Smoooooth!
    • This is a really good moisturizer for people with oily skin! I like this even more than the Skin Balancing moisturizer as it isn't as silicony feeling. It has a light texture that absorbs very easily into the skin. My only complaint is that I wish they made it in a bigger size! I apply this from the top of my forehead and onto my chest so I use it up in about three months. Maybe PC could make super-size versions of some of their moisturizers for us that use PC products like crazy? :)

    Not for me
    • I tried a sample of this and loved how light it was, so I decided to buy a full size. After using it more I realized I don't actually like the watery-texture, and found that it tended to pill up on top of other products. I keep it for my neck and around my eyes, which I like it a lot for. It just didn't work out for me.

    My skin reacted badly...
    • This lotion made my skin feel tight, not hydrated...maybe my skin is drier than I thought. The main problem I had though was that within a few seconds of applying this lotion, my entire face looked like it had a mild sunburn. It seemed to really irritate my skin. Thankful for PC excellent return policy!

    love how gentle it is
    • I have combo oily skin with dry patches around my nose & corners of the mouth. Acne prone & mild to moderate rosacea. Gentle formulation - not at all irritating and even provides a soothing effect. Subtle cucumber scent is relaxing during PM routine. Absorbs very quickly. Provides moisture, is not heavy, doesn't break me out. I definitely recommend this for people with rosacea or sensitive skin! Also moderately oily &/or combo skin, especially if you already use several potent products/boosters.

    YES
    • If I could sleep in a vat of this stuff, I would. For me, it reduces redness upon contact, lightly moisturizes without leaving any greasiness behind, absorbs in like 20 seconds, and doesn't cause or aggravate breakouts. It's perfect for summer on its own, but isn't moisturizing enough for winter (I just layer a serum underneath). My only criticism is that it sometimes leaves little white flakes on the skin (I think this is the silicone components?) but other than that, it's great.

    Love it!
    • This has been my go-to moisturizer for a few years now, but only when my skin isn't too dry (I use the "moister Boost" when my skin is really dry). I always use it as a final step after an exfoliant and/or serum. It leaves my skin feeling soft, soothed and fresh. I have repurchased this product many times!

    Irritated my sensitive skin more
    • I decided to give this one a try based on recommendations that it would be great for my sensitive skin and rosacea. Unfortunately, this lotion managed to irritate my skin even more. My whole face is red and irritated, and it doesn't moisturize much. There’s green tea, pomegranate, and cucumber extract in this. Could one of these be causing irritation? Maybe this would work better for those with less sensitive skin. I encourage anyone with sensitive skin or rosacea to try a sample before buying.

Perfect for my sensitive combination skin
    • I received this as a sample, tried it, and ordered a full size right away. I am allergic to most lotions I have tried, even those meant for sensitive skin. Every lotion I try turns my face bright red and my skin looks and feels burned. This doesn't cause any reaction, my face feels lightly moisturized, exactly what my combination skin needs. I only gave it four stars because it is pricey for such a small amount.

    • This is the only moisturizer i have used that doesnt cause my skin to breakout. I have very sensitive, combination, acne-prone skin. It is the perfect amount of moisture. It is completely non-greasy and absorbs instantly. It works perfectly under makeup or without makeup. I love that it also contains anti-aging ingredients. Please dont ever discontinue!

    Feels cheaply made
    • I love her Skin Recovery and Moisture Boost moisturizers, but this one fell flat. It almost felt like a watered-down version of either of the previously mentioned products. It did not make a difference in moisturizing my skin as do her other moisturizers. Will stick to my other PC products, which is odd because they have a thicker consistency, but work better for my acne-prone/combination skin.

What makes this product unique?
Hydralight Moisture-Infusing Lotion is an innovative formula that supplies key ingredients all skin types need, but is specially formulated to be light enough for those with normal to oily or combination skin. Antioxidants, anti-irritants and cell-communicating ingredients work to help skin behave more normally (more like young skin!) while skin-identical ingredients prevent moisture loss and keep skin exceptionally healthy. Nervous about breaking out? This moisturizer's water-light texture poses minimal to no risk of clogging pores and leaves a silky matte finish. Excellent under makeup or for use around the eyes.

This product is 100% fragrance- and colorant-free.

Who is this product for?
Hydralight Lotion is recommended for normal to oily/combination skin. It can be used by those struggling with acne and stubborn dry, flaky patches.

I have normal to oily skin with dry patches. Should I use Hydralight Moisture-Infusing Lotion or Skin Balancing Moisture Gel?

Hydralight Lotion leaves a finish that leaves skin feeling more moisturized than Skin Balancing Moisture Gel. Skin Balancing Moisture Gel leaves a silky matte finish on the skin, and is a better choice for oily to very oily skin with surface dryness or those who need light moisturizing but don't want any after-feel. Both moisturizers work well under makeup.
