Gel great substitute for lotion

Comments about SKIN BALANCING Moisture Gel - 2 oz:
I have tried many lotion-based facial moisturizers. Every single one I've used gives me blemishes. This gel moisturizer is my favorite and only moisturizer I'm able to use without averse skin effects. It is a great alternative to lotion-based products for me, since I can't use them. This is only a light moisturizer, which works for me.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

NOT for me!!
About Me Budget Buyer
This was my 1st full size PC's moisturizer purchased. I had expected it not to be TOO moisturizing for my VERY oily skin however, it is!! Although it makes your skin feel baby soft it's just too heavy for me & has caused me to breakout every time I've used it. Not to mention when I wake up in the morning's my face looks & feels like an oil slick thus requiring me to wash my face twice. Once to remove all the oil & 2nd to actually clean. I wouldn't recommend for anyone with very oily skin & acne.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Great formula, packaging issue
from Montclair, NJ
I think its a great moisturizer (oily-combo acne prone skin) and the finish is beautiful (absorbs completely and has a silky matte-finish). But there's a packaging quirk that drives me crazy! It's happened twice so far, so I don't think it's a fluke. The little metal covering peel (that insures the product is new and unopened) won't peel off properly/easily. I have to scrape and struggle to get enough off to expose the opening of the tube! I don't see other reviews pointing this out so idk, but if Paula's team can improve the product in that respect, that'd be great!

This is the best moisturizer I have found for my skin, which tends to be oily and breakout-prone. Most moisturizers are too thick for me and either give me acne or make my skin too oily. I love this moisturizer - it has a fantastic, velvety smooth texture that feels like silk on my skin, yet it is very light and non-greasy. It makes my skin feel very soft and balances out the dryness I get from using a BHA exfoliant. I do use a stronger moisturizer for really dry spots, like under my eyes and hands.

Will try again sometime

About Me Acne Prone Skin, Budget Buyer, Combination Skin
Doesn't hydrate of soften severely dry, dehydrated, flaking and slightly irritated skin.. as my skin was at the time due to various reasons. However, it's not designed for this because it's made for oily and combination skin so must be light.. but I was expecting some more hydration. I'll try another sample of this on my next order because my skin no longer represents a crocodile's lol. I do know that it makes your skin matt! It managed to keep my T-zone matt for what I think was the whole day.. and my T-zone will always become oily ofc no matter what state my skin's in so my T-zone to be matt and for such a long time is a miracle. It'd be great under make up I'd say.. will have to try again later to see!!

Still in search of my HG moisturizer
from Raleigh, NC
I have extremem combination skin that is VERY oily in the t zone while also being dry, flaky, very acne-prone, and sensitive. To make matters worse I use Retin-A in an attempt to combat acne and signs of aging. I've used this moisturizer on and off for years, but I've never loved it. While it is certainly not greasy, it usually doesn't provide enough moisture for my skin (even before I began using Retin-A) and the forumula has so much dimethicone that its incredibly difficult to layer with this product! If I apply too much, try to apply a second layer, or try to layer anything liquid or gel on top of it, it begins to 'pill' or ball up on my skin which is incredibly irritating. It does dry to a nice satin matte finish, but it is almost drying especially around the eyes. It is slightly frustrating because it seems like all the PC moisturizers I've tried have so much dimethicone (or maybe its something else?) in them that they're really hard to layer with other products, namely my tinted SPF product (non PC) that I can't go without--I have the same issue with the Resist Clear Skin Hydrator too :( . Overall I think this is a good product, but I'd only recommend it for mild combination to oily skin without any dry patches and for those that don't need to layer many products over their moisturizer.

My absolute favorite PC moisturizer!
About Me Brand Buyer
I cannot rave enough about this product. I wear it during the spring/summer/fall. I switch to a more moisturizing product during the winter. The lotion/gel is absolutely the most wonderful delivery system that Paula has invented. You have to try it to believe how silky smooth without greasy feeling this product makes your skin feel even in hot/humid weather. I use it only at night as I would expect it to provide too much moisture for under makeup.

About Me Brand Buyer, Budget Buyer
When I first tried this it was after the resist AHA treatment and the combination burned my skin. Then when I tried just this it burned. I put it away and forgot about it but promised myself I'd use it up before I'd buy new face moisturizer. I started using it again a while later and there was no stinging. It is actually a pretty nice moisturizer. Leaves you glowing but not greasy and really soft and smooth. I might try it again in the future but for now I have something else I like.
