I should have left a review on this a long time ago, but this stuff is LOVELY. I just gently rub a pea (or smaller) sized amount between my hands and pat it onto my t-zone and I do not need to use an extra cosmetic product like foundation or powder, both of which I try to avoid if I can, ESPECIALLY in the summer. Never noticed a chalky look or a white cast if I apply it this way, and I have darker skin (too dark for all of PC's face makeup options). Great job! :)

this is just the best product to reduce oiliness! just make sure you apply AFTER you're done your whole face routine and applied all of your make-up! it works wonders and it works for HOURS. I've even used this in Mexico, when i thought it'd be fun to wear make-up :P Its a great product; way better than any powders out there!

This product is amazing. I used to be so shiny by the end of the day, and blotting papers only helped so much. If I apply this in the morning, my skin stays matte all day and I don't even need the blotting paper! I love it. I don't really notice a difference when I use it before or after my foundation or powder. It works great either way.

This stuff is seriously great -- I hate using powder because it always feels heavy and like it's settling into my pores -- never looks good on me at the end of the day and makes me more oily overall. THIS IS MY SOLUTION. Please never stop making this!!! I use it over my BB cream now, instead of setting my makeup with a powder. This feels way, way lighter, as if I'm not wearing anything! Love it, love it, love it.

I was in the market for a new primer for my slightly oily skin. I applied it according to instructions (by patting it on) and put my regular foundation on over. I immediately noticed that the primer balled up as I was buffing in my foundation. The next day I applied a lot less primer and to only half my face, then did foundation with a different kind of brush (not buffing). At the end of the day I saw on difference in oil between the two halfs. Tried it a few more times since, and no change.

This is a great product! I have very oily skin and also very sensitive skin, this is the first mattifier that does a great job with controlling the shine on my face and doesn't make my skin react. Please don't ever stop making this!

I have always suffered with very oily skin. I'm in my late 30s with dark brown skin and I usually get break outs before my cycle and sometimes along my jaw line for unknown reasons. This product has truly helped minimize my oil production. I wash my face with black soap(it's brown all natural), next I use Paula's Resist Hydrator for oily skin, and last the shine stopper in my t-zone. I ordered a sample and it worked for me! I love the option of trying samples first before you buy! Thanks Paula!

I absolutely love this product! I had received some as a sample and now must keep it as a regular part of my routine. I have pale, combination skin with oil AND wrinkles (yay me) and have never found any product that worked effectively. PC Shine Stopper removes shine without making me look ghoulishly matte, leaves no chalky residue at all, actually evens out the wrinkles and discolouration, and lasts all day, even if I sweat. I can't go without it! Fantastic stuff.

Was hoping this would work to control the oil on my skin. Gave it several tries, but the effect barely lasted an hour. Also, it leaves a white cast and emphasizes dry patches.

I love this stuff! I have a very oily T-zone. But my eyelids also get very oily and my makeup creases and disappears within hours. So on a whim, I tried this on my lids (I'm sure PC would not recommend this, but I have not had any issues) I apply shine stopper as my primer. It's thin and does not cake up on my aging eyelids like other primers do. I use this only on nights or days when I need to look good for many hours. It works great. I've had no problems. So for me, it's my go to eyelid primer

Another superior product in Paula's line. I was skeptical so tried it as a sample and was very impressed. I have traditionally used Clinique Pore Minimizer, and this works much better with NO comedogenic effects. It can work as a matte base with no white residue to give you away. I will be buying the full size in my next order!

I really like this product. The first time I used it, a small dollop of Shine Stopper instantly turned my greasy T-zone mat. However, it seems as if I need to use more of it lately. Although my skin feels dry, the shine is not gone after one application, so I have started to put a second layer of Shine Stopper. I wonder why it has become less effective? Or has my skin become greasier?

I have tried lots of products for my oily areas, many of them high end products that are very expensive. This is the only product that works for me exactly as advertised. No longer do I have to worry about an excessive shiny or oily forehead partway through the day. This product goes on invisible, I don't even know it is on and the results are amazing. I never want to be without it!

I have combination skin that is pretty sensitive to dye and fragrance, so finding the right make up and skin care has been a challenge. So glad to have found great products! I apply Shine Stopper after the Barely There Tinted foundation. It is also particularly good to use this product over any obvious zits or blemishes before you apply the cream concealer- it helps take away any shine that might accentuate the blemish, and it helps the concealer last all day!

This product is hands down the absolute BEST I've ever tried for stopping shine and oil on my skin.. I have had oily skin my whole life and nothing has ever worked to tame it. After 2 hours or less, my skin is always super shiny and suffocated by other products. Shine Stopper is the ONLY thing I've ever found that works exactly like it claims. It stops my oil for an entire day. I am literally matte for hours upon hours and the finish is soft and dry. I love it. I used to pat Shine Stopper exactly like it says to in the directions but recently began mixing it with a BB cream and the result is fabulous. I was so thrilled that I had to write about it, and I never do that. This is the first beauty product review I've ever written. Shine Stopper works!!

This product might actually fool people into thinking I have normal skin! I apply a pea-sized amount over my forehead and another over my nose and cheeks on top of foundation or under a powder. It smooths over my skin easily so it's a no fuss final step to my routine. I find that it does a really good job of keeping oil under control throughout the day and helps my makeup to last longer.

I was hoping to love this product as I have been searching for an oil absorber to use throughout the day. This goes on nice, but leaves this powdery residue. I assume it is the talc drying, but it does not sit well on my skin. I have used it a few times in the summer months and in the fall/winter months and it produced the same results. I like this product a lot. I have oily skin in the t-zone and by the middle of the day, it's greasy. But when I apply this, it greatly decreases the oil. It's been especially helpful on my forehead. But be sure to follow directions. Apply foundation first, then use a small amount and dab it on the area, do not rub in.

One of the best products on the market! It is a miracle for the oily skin;) Will be defiantly ordering more.

I have very oily skin, and before I found this product I would have to blot my face with oil-blotting papers every hour or so. Even 30 minutes after I had finished putting on my makeup, my nose would be completely covered in oil (I know that sounds disgusting)! When I first tried the Shine Stopper, I used it put it on before my foundation, but I would still get oily. But now I just gently pat on a small dot of the Shine Stopper on my nose, chin, and forehead as the very last step in my morning routine (after foundation and powder), and it works great! It works throughout the whole work day. Towards the end of the day, my skin sometimes gets a little less matte, but it's definitely not the oil slick it used to be, and it's not even something I would necessarily have to blot or powder over. I never thought it would work this well, but I am very glad it does. I hope it never gets discontinued.

Shine Stopper really works! It gives an instant matte finish, like using a magic wand. I have oily skin and live in Thailand where it is very hot and humid. It keeps a matte finish for most of the day. Paula, please make Shine Stopper with SUNSCREEN spf 25 (that is not white and chalky)! Thanks

I use this product after moisturizing and sunscreening and before i apply makeup. it keeps my skin from becoming shiny all day. Lately, I have been using it by itself when i have to run a quick errand and i don't have time to do a whole face routine. it does the trick! PERFECT for air travel too. My face always seems to be strangely dry yet greasy on planes and this product keeps it balanced.

I have combination skin and get really oily in my t-zone. I had super high hopes for this as I love PC products. Unfortunately, it did not prevent oiliness for me at all. I still found I had the same amount of oiliness in my face. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. With oil control it is tricky as this is regulated by our hormones. BHA exfoliants and shine absorbing products do help to control shine and oil but it for some people they are not enough as the androgen hormones are over-producing oil. Asking your dermatologist about which birth control pills will help regulate the androgen hormones will help decrease oil production if this is an option for you. You may then find that an oil absorbing product such as the Shine Stopper will perform better for you. This particular shine control product works best by patting it last over makeup instead of rubbing in. Try it this way if you have not already.
