Best sunscreen for oily skin
from Philadelphia, PA
About Me Budget Buyer
Comments about CLEAR Ultra-Light Daily Fluid SPF 30+ - 2 oz:
I'm 42 years old, and this is the first sunscreen that leaves my skin feeling clean after I've applied it. There's no feeling of a film on my skin. It just disappears. I hope it's continued forever because it's all I'm ever going to buy.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Healing, Healthy, Disregard The "Mattifying" Title
from San Francisco, CA
I like this sunscreen so much because it's very light on the skin, has a good punch of antioxidants to help further protect and heal my skin, and looks beautiful under makeup!Yes, it is very watery, but I honestly like that because it feels like nothing once applied. I work with it in sections; first I slather and spread it on one part of my face (e.g. forehead), then wait for that to somewhat settle in and move on to the next (e.g. right cheek), and then go back on to my forehead to effortlessly blend the rest in. This might sound like it's not so "effortless", but it spreads SO easily once it's soaked in a little, and without the tugging or rubbing, which happens a lot with other sunscreens and my skin absolutely hates. This is said to be for oily skin or combo skin, like me, although I disagree with the "mattifying" part of the name. Anyone with very oily skin will find this to not have a mattifying effect, but it does not exacerbate oil production. Alternatively for oilier skin types, I would recommend the Hydralight SPF. But even with my oily skin, I find this to give me a beautiful healthy glow underneath my makeup, and works well throughout the day, without looking greasy.I have been using this sunscreen since about the beginning of the year, and must say I really enjoy it and plan to stick to this! Otherwise, I love how this soothes and calms any redness on my face, has helped heal acne marks faster, and hydrates with just the right amount!

I started using the Paula's Choice Clear line in December of 2015. I have difficult skin: acne prone (cystic acne on jaw-line which correlates with my menstrual cycle) with areas of dryness on my cheeks. The Clear line has drastically changed my skin for the better. I rarely breakout anymore and my skin has become more "normal". I no longer has areas of dryness on my cheeks either. Love Paula's Choice! I have one problem with this product though and it is this: I purchased this product in December 2015. The expiration date for the product I received is April 2016. I use this product every morning as a light moisturizer/sunscreen. The product expired yesterday and even with daily use since Decmber, I still had about a third of the bottle left! There is no way I could have used this whole bottle up in four months. I really wish it would have had an expiration date far enough in the future to last as least 6 months. I feel as if I wasted some money by having to throw away so much product because it expired before I could finish it. Otherwise, this is an excellent product.Lightweight, absorbs quickly, does not aggregate acne-prone skin. Excellent sun-protection with just enough mositurization for acne-prone skin.

Stings a lot
Tried using daily under tinted moisturiser but by the end of the day my skin was extremely oily so used alone as sunscreen. My eyes would sting a lot which I didn't realise was due to the mosturiser the first time. Ended up having to wash it off because it was so uncomfortable for my eyes. So now trying to use it up just on my chest/neck area which is not what I bought it for but don't want to waste it. Guess it's just not for me.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

Great Under Makeup
About Me Brand Buyer
There's a little bit of stinging upon application of this product (and I'm not sensitive to chemical UV filters), but the fluid texture absorbs quickly. Finish is slightly sticky (typical of many Paula's sunscreen), however makeup goes on smoothly on top of it. I have normal/combination skin and I love that this sunscreen is not as oil controlling as the RESIST tinted SPF30. It held up well throughout the day, not too oily, not too drying. The trial size is a gem for traveling. All this considered, really good product.
May cause breakouts
from Miami, FL
I applied this product in the mornings and it didn't take long (maybe 2 or 3 days) before rash-like small bumps appeared all over my face and my skin isn't even acne-prone. Also, it left my skin oily as ever at the end of the day.

Great sunscreen but don't use near eyes
from Clarksville tn
I love that this sunscreen is weightless and not greasy but I want sun protection around the eye area too and it makes my eyes tear up. Yes, I would recommend it for oily skinned people, just keep it away from your eyes.
The Best Sunscreen!!
from Hamilton, NJ
This liquid formula goes on my skin so smoothly and gently on my rosacea skin (no rubbing, massaging or working in), absorbs quickly and leaves a clean, smooth non-greasy finish. No irritation upon application or later. I find that I cannot use mineral sunscreens because of the white cast, the amount of massaging it takes to minimize the white (irritating on rosacea skin) and the not-so-smooth feel. Provides the perfect amount of moisture on my normal to combination acne rosacea skin, which can turn dry on my cheeks to jawline due to the rosacea. This sunscreen also felt surprisingly comfortable under my eyes and worked surprisingly well with my under eye concealer. I'm two out of four weeks into treating blepharitis (chronic eye lid infection). It's improving so I took a chance and used this sunscreen under my eyes and applied my under eye concealer and it didn't bother my eyes one bit! I have worn it as a daily sunscreen and to go hiking. No opportunity yet to see how it performs with perspiration, on the beach… I wouldn't mind at all if I needed to use another sunscreen for those occasions, as I'd use Clear the vast majority of the time anyway. It has worked well over Skin Recovery Toner, BHA 2% Liquid, antioxidant serums and Resist Barrier Moisturizer. This is the sunscreen that FINALLY makes it easy for me to use sunscreen!! After ordering one tube and trying it a couple of times, I ordered three more. It's now out of stock. I'm so glad that I got it on sale, but I hope more comes in. Is this product getting discontinued or reformulated??? I really, really hope not!
I feel soft and protected.

This is one of my favorite day time moisturizers. It is fluid like, which took some time for me to get acquainted with. It blends in well and smells so good. I have no complaints. I am only giving it 4 stars because I prefer zinc oxide and titanium dioxide as sun protection. It is definitely something I will continue to purchase.

This is my sunscreen when I need moisture. When it is warm and humid I use the resist ultraligh, but that product can be drying and doesn't feel comfortable around my eyes. This product is the solution. I can use it around my eyes without irritation The Clear sunscreen is fine and non irritating around my eyes. This sunscreen is also more moisturizing. It goes on with a slightly shiny, slick feel but then dries down to a natural looking matte finish. Works very well under my makeup. It also helps keep my skin hydrated in dry or wintery conditions.
