Comments about EXTRA CARE Non-Greasy SPF 50 - 5 oz:
I've only been using this product for two days, but I have to stop and will be returning it right away. I've been applying it as the last step in morning routine. I work outdoors, so I have to wear sunscreen every day, all day. I've tried, by my best guess, over a dozen different types of sunscreen, and I wanted to try a PC option after some of the heavy duty, more commonly used brands made me break out. First day was fine, it was a little greasier than I expected, but stayed put and didn't melt, even in direct sun. It wasn't until I washed my face that night that I experienced my first problem. I use a very gentle cleanser that has never reacted with any of my other sunscreens, but this one burned as I washed it off. It was a sensation similar to what you'd get if you touched your face after handling hot peppers. Took about 30 minutes to subside completely.Second day, figured it was just a bad reaction to my cleanser, and would give it another shot. Did a simple wash in the morning, no soap or any of the cleanser that had reacted with it the night before. Applied the sunscreen, went to work, no issues. Made it halfway through the day, and was reapplying, when my face started burning again. The worst of it went away quickly, but the stinging around my mouth and on my cheeks lasted longer. I'm going to switch back to the sunscreens that I've used before, and will hopefully find a PC option that won't react so badly to my skin and other products. I'm sure this one does its job, just not a good choice for me.Definitely be careful if you try it, maybe test it on a small area for a full day to make sure your skin and/or other products don't have a bad reaction to it.

Stings, sticky, very thin consistency
I just got a sample of this sunscreen and I am not impressed. I use it after exfoliating. I don't like the odor much... it has a strong 'sunscreen' aroma. It stings a little around my nose and upper lip area when I apply it. I really feel like it remains tacky to the touch for too long after application (20 min) though my skin does feel moisturized. I don't think that I will order a full-sized tube of this product.

Excellent Sunscreen, Too Expensive
By Kim- I Love Paula
from Orange, CA
This is the best sunscreen I have ever used. It is very light-weight and non-greasy. It is not thick and pasty at all and will not make you look like a snowman after applying it. I have very oily, acne prone skin, and this sunscreen was great. It is long lasting and very effective at preventing sunburns. I also noticed that it really holds up after getting in and out of the water. My husband and 7 year old daughter also love this screen and doesn't irritate their skin as well. I just wish it was less expensive because we really go through it.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This is the best sunscreen for the high SPF it offers

I have Vitaligo (pigment loss) and have used many high SPF sunscreens. This by far is my favorite for protection. It is light weight and doesn't leave a zinc oxide residue.

I spend a lot of time outside in the summer between running, biking, rowing and whatever other thing might strike my fancy. I'm fair skinned and try to protect my skin from sun damage. I also dislike the way my arms freckle. I've been using this for the past month and I have to say,... I don't think it's working. My arms are freckled and looking kind of tan (as tan as I get anyway.) If it was working, I wouldn't have the freckles. I want to use something cruelty free that isn't crazy heavy, but I guess I'll be going back to gooey heavy stuff that actually works. :/

Great Sunscreen, Great Buy, A lot
from PHX, AZ
About Me Budget Buyer
I live in AZ, and we sweat during the summer. This product doesn't move around the face and get in my eyes (unless I rub my eyes). It has provided great sun protection (from a reliable and trustworthy company) but friends who have used other sunscreens, been burned, have borrowed this sunscreen. Everyone has been impressed. I use this daily on my face. It goes on greasy but (as long as I don't use a gel in my morning routine) it dries smooth and matte. In short, reliable and great protection. Doesn't move unless rubbed. Can be used on face and body. A large tube. Attractive and travel friendly packaging. A reasonable size for the price.Cons: can sting for sensitive skin, will move into eyes if you rub your face.I buy this over and over again.

My husband and I are both fair-skinned and burn vey easily. I have been using other Paula's Choice products for my adult acne and since my skin has never been better, we decided to give this a try for our recent trip to Mexico. The sunscreen applies well, and does a fantastic job. It has GREAT staying power and kept our pasty selves from turning lobster red! I noticed a small stinging around the under eyes when I applied it but it subsided very quickly. This also left my skin feeling a lot better than other blocks, which tend to clog my sensitive skin up and make me breakout. Now I get the best of both worlds: no burns and no breakouts! Thank you PC!

First the good stuff: as with all PC products, the ingredients are great - so long as you can handle chemical sunscreens, but the inclusion of antioxidants and other skin loving ingredients is great! What's not great? Well, this is super super shiny and looks and feels greasy on my face - putting makeup on top is a nightmare. Also, if it gets near my eyes it burns like crazy!!! As for use on the body, it's fine unless you get even a little bit wet - then it becomes milky white and runs all over the place. Even when I'm just washing my hands and carefully avoiding the backs of my hands, if a little bit of water drips on my knuckles it just completely liquifies and runs off meaning I'm reapplying all day long!I'm a PC fan and use it almost exclusively, but this product needs work. We need a high SPF mineral sunscreen that stays put for the body and maybe an SPF 50 version of the resist super light daily wrinkle defense.

My go to running sunblock
I am very fair skinned and spend a lot of time in the sun between running and biking and now rowing. I need something that doesn't feel like a disgusting slimy layer but is also effective. This product seems to be just that for me. It doesn't make me feel greasy and washes off completely. (My old standby sunblock leaves a weird residue after soap and water.) I can't use this on my face because I'm allergic to some of the ingredients on my face, but for body it's great. My only complaint is that I wish it came in a smaller "travel" size. Something small enough to fit in a jersey pocket or in my hydration vest would be perfect. Some people, myself included, spend many many hours outside and it would be nice to be able to reapply.

I'll start off by saying that my skin is FRUSTRATINGLY sensitive; I've been searching high and low for a sunscreen that doesn't break me out. I applied this in the morning before spending the day outside, and I was excited to find that I had no new pimples by the end of the day. BUT, when I woke up the next morning, I had an alarming amount of texture, blotchiness, and my jawline was unbearable itchy.Although I obviously will not be using this again, I was pleased that it did not make me oily throughout the day. However, it didn't really dry down matte.
