About Me Beauty Expert
Comments about HYDRALIGHT Shine-Free SPF 30 - 2 oz:
I came to the page today not to review this product, but to re-purchase. It seems to be out of stock, or may have been discontinued and is on its way back to the market...Either way I just want to leave a short note about this product. I have THE MOST TROUBLESOME SKIN on the planet (in my opinion) and I've searched near 15 years to find a sunscreen/moisture combo that doesn't irritate my sensitive, break-out prone, dry/oily nightmare skin, and THIS is my product! I signed up to be notified by email when this product is back in stock, and I really wish I was able to buy it right now!! I guess I will have to settle for something else in the mean time. Can't wait to buy this again!!!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Great for combination dry skin
About Me Brand Buyer
Good sunscreen for slight dry and combination skin. Although I have dry skin, the skin recovery or moisture boost spf 30 lines never give me good results. This is not greasy but has to rub quickly before the cream dries out. It does ball up when I mix with tinted moisturizer. I like it because it does not accentuate my dry patch and treats my acne. Great for daily; I would watch out for the choice of foundation over this moisturizer.

I had low expectations bc usually sunscreens are stinky, don't absorb, or make me feel "sweaty" throughout the day. Oh, and then they make your makeup "slide around." This does NONE OF THE BAD STUFF..light, emollient, provides great protection, and no scent. Rubs in easily, absorbs quickly without being tacky. Why are you discotinuing? I have already bought a backup......

Love, love, love this sunscreen!!!
By Tammy the believer
I apply this as my day cream everyday after cleansing. It is extremely mattifying for my very oily & sensitive skin; very hard to find another like it!! Only sunscreen I have found that doesn't make me breakout, but actually heals my skin as it protects and moisturizers it all at the same time. Can't say enough about it!!This is my first time writing a review for Paula's products even though I've been a loyal customer for quite a while now. I just had to make it known what a treasure this product is and a blessing to have found such a great product. I read in another review that this may be discontinued; I hope this is not true and if it is please reconsider; I'd really hate to start my search all over again after finally finding the one!!! Thanks so very much Paula; your products are the greatest I have found anywhere, and will remain a loyal customer for life!!!

All around awesome sunscreen for everyday
from Fort Worth, TX
This is a fantastic broad spectrum sunscreen. It is especially great for sensitive skin or oily skin. I can rub it in around my eyes without burning or redness. I have used it under make up but it rubs in so well you could skip makeup over it.

great for running or outdoor sports
from Cleveland, OH
About Me Budget Buyer
I normally use the Skin Recovery day lotion, but tried this as something lighter both for weekend long runs and for a lighter alternative for summer. So far it's working well for me. I sweat a ton while out running and I have not had any issue with this stinging my eyes. It is also not super thick and clogs my pores like my previous summer running facial sunblock. I'm allergic to sunblock except for the mineral sunblocks so I'm really glad to find so many varieties of products I can use and that actually work without making my break out!
Best Sunscreen Ever!
from Los Angeles, CA
I got this as a sample in my most recent order and I'm soooo picky about sunscreens. It is virtually undetectable! The application is so smooth! That is a plus if you want to wear it under makeup! so sad to learn that its being discontinued....Nooooooooo!! :(

what a pleasant surprise
By Shiny Girl
from San Jose, CA
I received this product in a sampler and was surprised by how non-greasy it is and how fast it dries on skin. I have oily skin and it is very had for me to find a sunblock that controls shine. This product actually does what it promises. Good job, PC!

Thought I couldn't wear SPF every day before this!
I have really bad reactions to regular sunscreens, and I always thought I just could not wear SPF every day, like my skin needed at least one or two days a week to take a break. I can wear this every day though! The white tint I feel goes away quickly so I'm not bothered by it.

I've been on a quest for facial sunscreen, and have been going through samples of PC products because I haven't had good luck with other brands. I am olive complected with "extreme" combination normal to oily skin and some sensitivity. I tried Resist Mattifying spf 50, Skin Balancing spf 30, and Hydralight spf 30. I felt a little like Goldilocks and the three bears...All three sunscreens were great for daily use: lightweight, absorbed quickly, left no white cast, non-greasy, just a touch of moisture for skin tending toward oilyness, didn't add to facial oil production throughout the day. All three are somewhat liquid in texture, but not too thin. This means they are easy to apply and don't feel mask-like as other sunscreens might. Here is where the three differed:Resist Mattifying spf 50 (physical sunscreen)--soothing, did not sting eyes, but left a sheen ie, was not mattifying on my skinSkin Balancing spf 30 (chemical sunscreen)--ok on face but burned around my eyes, mattifyingHydralight spf 30 (physical sunscreen)--soothing, did not sting eyes, and mattifyingIn my case Hydralight was the "just right" solution to quell my sensitive eye area and provide some mattification. I also really loved the super light weight of Resist Mattifying and Skin Balancing. I think if the Resist product didn't leave a sheen, that would be my HG sunscreen since it provides a bit more protection, is non-irritating and has great anti-aging ingredients. Skin Balancing was also great as a lightweight handcream, leaving my hands feeling silky and smooth with no shine. For now, I'm going to stick with Hydralight as my full purchase, but all three are worthy of sampling.
