Dry but good finish
from Dublin, Ireland
About Me Brand Buyer
Comments about RESIST Super-Light Daily Defense SPF 30 - 2 oz:
I was really happy with the finish of this moisturizer, it mildly covers imperfections and gives a matte finish, however I can only use this in combination with a more nourishing moisturizer, otherwise I can see the skin flaking and the result is not optimal. Unfortunately, I was using this daily since I finished my other moisturizers, and I noticed some new red blotchy marks on my cheeks (I have sensitive cheeks with a light sign of rosacea).I stopped immediately using this product and moisturized well with a more soothing cream; now my skin is ok but I'm not willing to use it again.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This is the best moisturizer with SPF I've come across. I have very fair skin which burns easily and I prefer using products with higher SPFs but the ones I have tried have felt so greasy on my combination skin. This RESIST one is lightweight and doesn't pill on the skin. I can't feel it at all after I've applied it and makeup sits beautifully on top of it. I will continue to buy this moisturizer again and again.

Dried my Skin Out & Caused Breakouts
from Washington, DC
I was in the market for a new moisturizer and wanted to give this a try. Based on other reviews, I was hopeful I would have the same results. Unfortunately, I had the complete opposite. This moisturizer dried out my skin, made my skin breakout, and the tint in the moisturizer is honestly a little off putting. The tint also gets all over your hands and even after washing them, it ends up on my towel. I feel as though the moisturizer coats my finger tips until after a few hand washes. Definitely disappointed and off to spend more to find a moisturizer that actually nourishes my face.

Best all purpose sunscreen/moisturizer out there. The tint and matte texture leaves my skin looking airbrushed to the point I only need to use a bit of concealer around the eyes (no need for foundation unless I'm getting dressed to the nines). I love that it has antioxidants and helps my aging skin (I'm 46) look its best. I've been using this since it first came out years ago and would never use anything else, although I've occasionally tried other products over the years. My skin has over the years gone from very oily to combination to normal and now slightly dry and this product has worked flawlessly throughout it all.

Great product, good enough coverage?

Great product, I just don't know where the research is that this percentage of zinc oxide gives enough UVA protection? Where in the literature does it say that simply zinc oxide without any other additives is sufficient?
A great product!
from New York, NY
I love this product and use it daily. I don't need heavy foundation and hate having to apply a lot of extra products so this is perfect for me. It goes on sheer yet provides enough tint to even my skin out like a regular foundation would and it has a reliable SPF. The tint is not too pink or yellow or pale, it's just right and looks natural. It lasts all day and I can even reapply if necessary without it getting cakey. This product is worth every penny!
I break out with this!
from Minneapolis, Minnesota
I have A LOT of Paula's Choice products. Still looking for the Holy Grail. For some reason, every time I use this, I break out. I like the idea of a tinted moisturizer, and for me it is a bit greasy. I shake and shake the tube to ensure proper distribution. I am past the 60 day return (I used it sporadically due to break outs). Still have practically the full tube. Wanted to like this, I cannot recommend.
Super effective and super comfortable .
This is a very effective sunscreen - it really prevents any freckling .It says it is not waterproof -although in my experience it is very water resistant (more so than my labeled water resistant ones ) so in addition to daily use this is my go to beach/sports sunscreen .It has an amazing ability to make my concealer /blush etc last all day - it is worth buying just as a primer !Obviously I love it :)My only wish would be an untinted version for my lower neck and shoulders - Thanks for this wonderful product
Causes acne for me. Smells bad.
from San Marino, CA
I bought this to use every day since I have acne prone oily skin. Due to recent breakouts, I have used it on and off so I can tell what might be causing me to break out with pimples. I hadn't had pimples in 2 years but every time I use this it does cause a pimple on my chin! I was sad because I love that it has a high content of zinc oxide yet does not cause an oily film or any shininess on my face. It also has a bad odor and I feel embarrassed that people might think my face smells.

Great product but very pink
By Golden Gal
from Annapolis MD
This is a great product overall. It is both moisturising and non-greasy which is perfect for my aging but still oily skin. It has a beautiful texture, rubs in easily and smoothly and the degree of tint and coverage is great. However, as other reviewers have noted, the tint is pink and is not best suited to those with yellow skin tones like me. Because I also flush easily, the pinkness can make me look overheated and well, just odd. This has long been a problem for me with Paula's Choice tinted products and foundations (when they existed). For some reason yellow toned options have never been offered and it's really frustrating. Over the years Paula has frequently critiqued other lines for being too yellow, but there really are people out there who can't use pink-toned products. My way of getting around this with this otherwise great moisturiser is to mix in a little yellow-based foundation - however this affects the texture and degree of coverage so it's not entirely satisfactory. Please team, please, think about the range of skin tones out there and offer options for those of us who look like red oompa loompas when we use pink-toned bases. This is the only reason I haven't given 5 stars to this otherwise great tinted moisturiser and sun protector
