Comments about Skin Balancing Ultra-Sheer Daily SPF 30 - 2 oz:
I am looking for a good daily moisturizer with reasonable SPF, and gave this a try. I agree with the other notes about the texture; it's very thin and runny, though I'm personally okay with that. However, the smell makes it unusable; it has a nasty chemical odor that persists for about an hour. I've never returned a beauty product before, and I'm in the process of trying to return this--it's really that bad. I may have gotten a bad batch, but consider avoiding this if you are sensitive to odors.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

About Me Brand Buyer
I'm a 25 yr old Indian female and have combination skin with an oily T-zone. Since using PC products, my skin has been GREAT (the 2% BHA is a god-sent). I've loved all my other PC products (Invisible Finish Moisture Gel, Skin Balancing Toner)! However, this is just not working for me and I ordered the full size :(I wash, tone, exfoliate, and then put this on--it didn't absorb well (too runny) and left my face super shiny. I even used the Invisible Moisture Gel after hoping it would dial down the shininess but it didn't help. Had to wash my face all over again. Not a fan. Thankfully, I ordered a sample of the Skin Brightening Treatment and that works well as moisturizer. I also live in Michigan, so I need to add on the Invisible Moisture Gel as an added layer so my skin doesn't dry out. I will be ordering the full size of the Skin Brightening Treatment and returning this.

Excellent sunscreen, only one criticism
from Mountain View, CA
This sunscreen works great on my combination skin, and it rubs in nicely with a non-greasy finish. My only complaint is that the formulation is VERY runny, which makes it a little messy to put on. If they could thicken it up a bit I would give it 5 stars.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The best for me, and I adore it beyond any other sunscreen!!
I have tried all of the offerings from Paula's Choice. This is my favorite daytime SPF.

Best sunscreen for my combination skin; mattifies
from Toronto, Ontario
About Me Budget Buyer
This is by far the best sunscreen I have used under makeup for my combination skin. I've tried many drug store brands and they are all either too thick or too greasy or too oily or they slip off after a few hours or all of the above.I personally like the more liquid-y texture of this because I think it makes it easier to work with and I find a little goes a long way.Especially using it under makeup which is always a huge problem for me; I find this is the only sunscreen I can use under makeup and if I let it dry for 1-2 minutes it has slight mattifying properties.I actually have an older bottle of drug store sunscreen that I use on weekends so that I can save my PC brand products for the week (when I need to make sure my makeup will stay in place at the office) so I test this product against drug store brands once a week and I am always surprised at how -- each weekend -- the drug store sun screen lets me down and almost washes the makeup right off my face after only a few hours. In terms of a moisturizer, this is ok. Not an A+++ but certainly an A. When I need a little extra moisture, I have a booster that I use around the eyes so that method works for me. On regular days, this is enough moisture.I'll never use another brand of sunscreen again.

Simple, effective, and as-advertised.

I use this product each morning as my last step. For my oily, mildly combination skin the texture and moisture are perfect.Yes, the product has a very liquid consistency, but is not difficult to use. I allow a dollop to dispense onto my fingers and dab around my face to ensure even coverage before gently massaging it in.As with other sunscreens, it's not exactly meant to be in your eye, so some people experiencing eye irritation may be applying it too liberally at the lash line.Skin types that experience seasonal dryness might benefit from a drop or two of oil booster underneath. I already keep a bottle of PC Resist oil for occasional use in place of my retinol moisturizer when I apply the 1% treatment. This moisturizer is also one of the few mattifying products I've been happy with, and almost the only one that didn't come with fragrance. The finish is truly weightless and mitigates oil build-up for hours. Particularly useful for those who wear minimal or no cosmetics since you can mattify without necessarily adding color or texture. It moonlights in the PC4Men line for good reason.

i use this product every morning before i step outdoors its my best option because all the other pc avobenzone based spf,s are either to greasy and are leaving white things on the skin surface or they sting around the eyes and cheeks and they run to easy so applying them is realy disturbing i waste alot of product every time , the mineral based spfs are leaving my skin whit a white cast and iam a guy so i dont want to use a tint moisterizer or foundation powder etc the 1 that i did use whas the resist super light daily spf 30 but that one makes my skin look like i had a mask on so if pc makes the skin balacing spf 30 a bit more like the hyrdalight sunscreen that will makes a huge diffrence in applying it so theres one more wonderfull product that suits more custemors needs ^^ in the mean time i will use this skin balacing spf 30 as my best bet for now !

Exceptional for Combination Skin
from Vacaville, CA
This is perfect moisturizer for my oily skin. I wear it under foundation. It helps control oil on my forehead. It never irritates or bothers my eyes as other non-Paula's Choice sunscreens have.

I tried a sample of every PC moisturizer & THIS is my fav!
from Vancouver, BC
I was looking for a Spring/Summer/Fall moisturizer with SPF and so I ordered 1 sample of ever Paula's Choice moisturizer. Some of them left too much of a white cast, while others left my skin feeling stingy or wet all day. THIS moisturizer however is perfect for me in every way. I find that although it comes out of the bottle very wet - it rubs in VERY quickly. Some times I would prefer it rubbed in a bit slower.

Works for me!
from Watertown, CT
I've been a PC customer for many years, and place a lot of trust in her products and her product reviews. Having had a number of incidents of skin cancers (including melanoma), this red-head takes sun protection very seriously and is willing to pay more for a superior product. I have tried a number of Paula's formulas over the years, as well as those of other companies which received positive reviews from Paula. This is my absolute favorite of all for the hot and humid summer months. It protects my very fair skin while maintaining a soft matte finish. Yes, it is very runny right out of the tube (essentially it's liquid), but it blends in well and quickly. I always used to top my sunscreen with a light foundation, but don't feel the necessity to do that with this product. And that's pretty liberating! I will say I don't typically exercise to dripping in the summer, so cannot speak to whether it runs into the eyes which some reviewers have mentioned. Not sure this will be moisturizing enough for a New England winter, but I'll wear it as far into the fall as I can. Thanks PC! And thanks Paula for turning me on to Cerave SPF 30 AM Facial Moisturing Lotion, which has become my winter favorite (with a light foundation over it).
