I finally found the perfect spf!
About Me Budget Buyer
Comments about SKIN BALANCING Ultra-Sheer Daily SPF 30 - 2 oz:
I'm 35 and have oily, acne prone skin. I've been trying to find the right Paula's Choice spf for my skin type and I'm very satisfied with this one! I started using it about a month ago (along with the skin balancing toner). These two products have done wonders with keeping my oily skin in check and have noticeably reduced the larger pores. My skin texture was noticeably improved instantly! The moisturizer is mattifying and wears well under my makeup. I used to be super oily within a couple hours of arriving to work in the morning and had to blot at least 3 times in an 8 hour work day (was very conscious of it) but now I don't even think about it and only blot once-I do think it's a combination of this and the toner though..so you may want to consider getting both if you have oily skin. It's light, non-greasy and doesn't burn my eyes. If you have oily, acne prone skin and have been looking for the right spf I really recommend trying this!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This Is Unreal! This Is Undetectable!
By That Skincare Obsessed Guy
from Oslo, Norway
About Me Brand Buyer
Living near the North pole makes it very important to protect me from UV rays since the Ozon layer that filters these rays gets thinner towards the poles plus the sun here goes up at 4.am and goes down at 11.pm during the summer time (it doesn't even set in June). Now I'm asking myself why it took me so long to try this since Paula's Choice has been one of my most favorite brands for such a long time. After trying more than 25 sunscreens from high-end, mid-end to low-end and drugstore I came to a desperate conclusion that's there is no such thing as non-shiny chemical sunscreen or non white-cast physical sunscreen, since chemical sunscreen agents tend to make the face look like a oily ball and physical ones reflect the light rays (that's how zinc oxide and titanium dioxide protect you from UV rays, even nano particles make the skin look weirdly white so there really is no such thing as non white-cast mineral sunscreen). I felt hopeless to search for an ideal sunscreen until this thing touched my face for the first time. Being a guy, how sunscreen looks on my face is even much more important than it's protection (spf 30 is totally fine for me). I still cannot believe that this thing is undetectable.Hopefully my search for the ideal sunscreen ends here. Thank Paula's Choice team for this amazing thing. Hope you'll keep on making such great skincare products like this!

I didn't buy directly from PC website so I can't give any comment on this.
I really wanted to like this, but...
from Atlanta, GA
I really wanted to like this lotion because of the way it makes my skin feel. However, I had trouble wearing this product under make-up. It rubs in white and takes time to absorb. Though it does a fantastic job of controlling oil and leaves my skin feeling very smooth and soft, it draws attention to dry spots from acne blemishes. Unfortunately, those dry spots were left looking flaky.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This is not for contact wearers in humid places
from Charleston, SC
I decided to buy the full size after using some samples I had of this. I ran out of my hydralight and thought I might like this better. This product leaves me greasy several hours earlier than hydralight. My eyes are also much more sensitive when using this. There's something to the stinging eyes comments in the other reviews. I ended up tossing my soft contact lenses because no amount of scrubbing could make them comfortable again after using this. This is the only product I've ever regretted buying from Paula's Choice and it's going to cost more than a third of the price to have it boxed up and returned. Add in the cost of a pair of contacts and this was an expensive mistake. If you like hydralight I encourage you to skip this one; especially if you wear contacts. I really wanted to love it but it's definitely not for everyone.
The shipping and packaging was perfect as always.
My favorite non mineral SPF lotion
I love this and have compared it to other chemical sunscreens. This is my favorite out of them all. I love the texture and finish. It is not greasy at all. It wears well over and under other products.
This newer formulation is great on my sensitive skin
from Surrey, B.C., Canada
I think that the negative reviews that mention irritated/stinging eyes are about the older formulation of this sunscreen. With that older version, I had to use a different sunscreen (the Hydralight one) under my eyes and on my rosácea-affected cheeks, because of pretty major irritation. Now that the irritating ingredient has been removed from this Skin Balancing sunscreen, I no longer need my Hydralight sunscreen, and have given it away Using just 1 sunscreen is MUCH more convenient :-)My "extreme combination skin" LOVES thus sunscreen If lightly moisturizers my extremely dry cheeks, and for a while mattifies my extremely oily forehead, nose, and chin :-) (After 2 to 3 hours, I need to dab on some of the PC Shine Stopper. Please note that, if I am in the sun for that long, I instead just reapply this sunscreen, and it again mattifies the oil, so no need for the PC Shine Stopper.I am extremely pale, and in the summer burn after 10-15 minutes in the sun. Not with this sunscreen on my face (& neck & décolletage)!!! I also use this sunscreen on my arms, if they're bare, and it works great on them My hubby is allergic to UVA rays, and this sunscreen protects him well :-) No big, poofy hives! P.S. I described myself above as a "Brand Buyer", simply because almost all budget brand concealers, foundations, and often powders, are a bunch darker than is my skin :-P (Rimmel's Stay Matte Liquid Mousse Foundation is a happy exception, as is 1 Wet & Wild powder + 1 Neutrogena powder :-) )
As per usual with PC, all aspects of delivery were great :-)

Perfect: Hydrating and and Mattifying for Combo Skin
By Kate the Great
from Pacific NW
Summary: I LOVE this stuff. Other sunscreens are either too oily or too mattifying and have left my combo skin with that dry AND oily feeling by the end of the day. This stuff both hydrates and mattifies at the same time. (Magic?) It is perfect for every day use.I have been in search for a good daily sunscreen for a long time. Most recently, I've tried La Roche Possay, Cerave, Supergoop, Neutrogena, and Clinique. I've been really impressed with this sunscreen. It's milky and goes on super smooth. It dries quickly and my skin looks really hydrated, but still matte-ish. It's unscented and does not irritate my irritable skin. It also has a tiny, tiny bit of yellow pigment (don't get me wrong, it isn't tinted!) so it doesn't leave a white cast. I will definitely be re-purchasing.
What are you waiting for to try this??
from Toronto, Canada
I've been using this product for about 5 years now, this from spring to early fall. This product is by far the Best sunscreen I have ever used for my oily skin and fare complexion (I have tried MANY over a period of 20 years). Its fragrance free, light texture, non-irritating, applying it is a breeze and best of all, my skin radiates with it; my skin loves it!!! Its a "Must Try". Love Skin Balancing but this one isn't for me
from Los Angeles
Let me start by saying that I do love this Skin Balancing line and I would highly recommend it, I'm probably going to switch to Hydralight now as my skin is more combo and less combo to oily, and a bit more sensitive. This is VERY light, it's one of the lightest you'll find, so if you break out from sunscreen it's the product for you. It's a little bit runny but don't worry about that, that's just the texture-it's just caused me some sensitivity lately-3/4 way through the bottle, since I bought the SB Kit. The problem for me is that I'm a blogger and beauty enthusiast so I wear makeup everyday and for me it doesn't work well under makeup-it doesn't for for me as a primer, so it counteracts primer, and used alone under foundation it changes the texture so now I use a tinted moisturizer with SPF 30 but I will go back and try the Hydralight SPF and see how that works out-I sampled it in the past. If you like this but it's irritating, I would try that one, it's still very light, but it feels more soothing under the skin, it's more moisturizing. Because it's not enough to have just an spf foundation. So I'm using the rest of the bottle for my neck, arms, etc. But it definitely offers great protection, just like all the PC SPF products. I'm also going to try the Resist SPF Moisturizer
Non-oily but moisturizing!
I have normal skin that isn't sensitive, but I do get some flaky spots if I go overboard with AHA/BHA or my tretinoin. This sunscreen doesn't burn or sting at all, rubs in quickly, moisturizes well, and is the only sunscreen I've ever used where I can get the entire recommended amount to absorb into my face without greasiness. Love it!!
