Love PC, HATE this product
from Seattle, WA
About Me Beauty Conscious
Comments about SKIN RECOVERY Lotion SPF 30 - 2 oz:
I have been using PC products since I was in 8th grade and my mom bought me some BHA to help with acne. Over the years I have continued buying PC products sporadically. When looking for a new moisturizer, I saw a good deal going on and got this moisturizer for 15% off. After just two days of use, my skin was WORSE with this product than the jojoba oil that made me breakout in the first place and forced me to look for a new moisturizer. In addition to the weird cucumber-like smell, this product just sits on my skin, looks shiny and doesn't absorb. It's leading to the type of acne I had in middle school--I'm horrified. Makes me wonder if PC has gone downhill over the years.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

My HG lotion, will use forever!
About Me Budget Buyer
I adore this lotion. I have sensitive, dry skin and chemical sunscreens are irritating. This is the first sunscreen I have consistently used on my face (shameful, bc I am 32 years old), but I will keep buying this as long as it's made. It does go on whitish, but rubs in easily and quickly. It's very hydrating and slightly cooling, but does not feel greasy or heavy on, which is rare. I don't wear foundation everyday, but when I do, it goes on beautifully over this. I highly recommend this lotion.

Lovely product; Just didn't work for me
By Erin the Multi-tasker
from Roanoke, Virginia
I used this product a couple of weeks but it soon became clear that it was the basis for some pretty deep, painful breakouts. The product itself has a lovely texture, light clean smell and doesn't leave a greasy feel to the skin. I am disappointed that this didn't end up working with my skin and I do feel like it is simply a matter of personal skin type.

Grateful for this lotion!
from Boston, MA
My 12 yo daughter has VERY sensitive, rashy skin with episodes of facial eczema. She's also very fair. So many products irritate her skin; she can't use any of the chemical sunscreens. She does ok with the mineral sunscreens but refuses them if they leave a noticeable white tint. (preteens!) I tried this and it's wonderful! Blends in well with very minimal white cast, very hydrating, no stinging or irritation! And protective broadband SPF, which has most definitely protected her from burn. Thank you from the bottom of this concerned mom's heart!

amazing! it lasts all day! first moisturizer I've used that I noticed keeps my skin hydrated throughout the day. It is so cooling and moisturizing when applying, and it smells faintly like cucumber, which is a good thing! I haven't noticed a white film, but I'm very pale. It takes a few minutes to soak in, however, and only then do I notice a tiny bit of white. I enjoy putting this on every day!

Holy Grail day lotion
from Cleveland, OH
About Me Brand Buyer
I'm allergic to most sunscreens except the mineral ones. The facial sunblock moisturizers I've tried in the past were super greasy and clogged my pores. This product is kind of my Holy Grail. A little goes a long way, there's no white streaking, it's semi greasy but absorbs well, it's great under makeup, doesn't clog my pores and doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. I'm just starting to try it out while outside running, but so far it seems good for that too. It doesn't wipe off on my gloves when I wipe my nose or anything. I've worn it while doing cardio classes that were very sweaty and I did not experience stinging in my eyes. I'm planning to stock up next time there's a good coupon.
Feels great but has a smell
from Raleigh NC
I love this collection, and finally bought this moisturizer for the SPF I need. It felt great, but smells strongly like sunscreen all day on my face. Probably won't use as my daily moisturizer, but will definitely keep for outdoor activities and being at the pool.

My one and only sunscreen choice
from San Jose, CA
I am a dedicated user of this moisturizer. I've gone through multiple bottles while in the UK and now California. It never lets me down as sunscreen but I apply a good amount of it every day. I have rosacea which actually gets calmed down by this cream. After I wash it off at night I see less redness. I love everything about this moisturizer. It's not made for sports or swimming and it runs if touched by water. But it means it is versatile to wear under makeup and for everyday life.

Perfect for fair, sensitive, combination skin
By Obsessive researcher
from Chicago, IL
I have 40-year-old super-sensitive fair skin, mild rosacea, some dryness, and pms breakouts near my mouth. I have been using this sunscreen inside and outside during daylight hours for a month, and it does not irritate my skin or cause any new breakouts. Compared with other mineral-based sunscreens, it has minimal white cast -- any whiteness in it just makes my complexion look less red and more creamy. I think the vitamins in it might actually be improving my skin's texture. Brown spots also seem to be fading, but that could be because it is winter. I have searched high and low for a fragrance-free, mineral-based, moisturizing sun screen that doesn't give me a chalky mask. This one is a winner! (I have still had two pms breakouts since I started using the product, but it is probably too much to ask it to fix everything.)

Works like a charm
from Gardena, CA
I've been using PC sunscreen products for years. Having had slightly oily skin earliett, I used Paula's Spf 50 in the orange tube, then switched to physical sunscreen Hydralight last summer. Worked great during the warm weather months. Then when the weather changed in the fall/winter,I found I needed more hydration on my cheeks especially under my eyes. I ordered this sunscreen just for my cheeks, still using the Hydralight on my t-zone. This has worked out great for my 68-year-old combo skin, which has never looked better because of PC products. I can even skip foundation or tinted moisturizers, and just add a light dusting of Paula's powder. The white cast eventually mostly disappears on my medium Asian skin and I haven't had any irritation or zits. Really like this moisturizing sunscreen and I use it daily!
