Bring back the travel size!
from NY, NY
About Me Beauty Conscious
Comments about RESIST Hyaluronic Acid Booster - 0.67 oz:
I bought the travel size to try it out, and so far over the past two weeks it's been great. I can see the lines between my brows softening, and my skin feels great. I'm using it on alternate nights mixed into CeraVePM moisturizer (I have a lot of PC products, Olay, and CeraVe in my routine). I have two complaints--the packaging is horrible! I read all the reviews prior to purchasing and I hesitated, knowing that if I liked the product I may has issues down the road with actually using it. And at these prices it's too expensive to waste (an aside - I've noticed the products are becoming almost as expensive as the ones Paula used to point out were too expensive). My second issue is that since I bought the travel size, about two weeks ago, suddenly it's no longer available. I love the travel sizes available as I travel a lot, and with the airline regulations I can still keep up with my regular routine thanks to being able to have the targeted products in travel sizes. It also takes up a lot less room in my luggage. Please, please please fix the dropper issue, and bring back the travel size!

Great Example of the Power of Hyaluronic Acid
By Scott in Worthington

About Me Beauty Expert
I've been using this Booster since it was introduced, and have not been dissapointed. In fact, I now consider it an essential part of my daily routine (along witht the C-15 and the Clinical Retinol). Before I purchased the hyaluronic acid booster I had a tiny bit of fine lines around the corners of my eyes, as well as the '11' marks between my brows. The Clinical Retinol 1% did a terrific job of getting rid of the deeper wrinkles that had just started to appear, as well as smoothing my overall facial texture. however, the fine lines remained. Once I got my greedy little hands on this stuff, I mixed it with the two Resist serums (I use the ligher one during the day, the 'classic' version at night), I noticed an immediate improvement: the fine lines 'plumped' away! Now I use it daily, often by itself, and usually twice. I also will sometimes mix it with a few of the other boosters for a sort of 'super boost', if you will. It makes such a quick and obvious difference that I now consider it as important as my dialy suncreen application. One of the best of the 'new era' skin care additions to the entire PC line.

There is a clear, plastic fitting in the bottle. Remove it.
from Minneapolis, MN
About Me Minimalist
I am unsure why there are negative reviews about the packaging. There are two pieces to remove when opening for the first time: a foil top on the bottle and a clear plastic fitting in the mouth of the bottle. My stopper topped seats fully when screwed on. No problems handling this product. Works awesome on flaky winter skin. Thanks!

About the packaging...
from Boston, MA
I'm ordering my second bottle of this, I do like it and think it's made a difference on my dry areas. I mix a drop with my serum (a Beautypedia 5-star "best" but not PC) and use daily.I did have to email customer service when I, too, had trouble with the dropper fitting the bottle. Turns out I was supposed to push the dropper in without twisting to break some kind of seal, and after that I had no trouble twisting it closed. Too bad they don't add that little tidbit to the instructions for use...

One of the best things I've done for my skin
from Grand Rapids, MI
I have oily skin that needs moisture, along with some dry patches around my mouth. I've added a drop or two of this hyaluronic acid booster to my moisturizer day and night over the last 6 months, and it makes my skin feel wonderful. No more dry patches. It feels soft, and smooth and has gotten rid of some breakouts I was having around my moth due to to irritation from dryness. I have had good luck with the dropper, however there is still a decent amount of product left after the dropper stops picking it up in the bottom of the bottle. I've come up with a solution that works well for me, and gets about 2-3 weeks more of product out of the bottle until it is emtpty. When I open the bottle for the first time, I keep the screw on lid that comes on it in my medicine cabinet. When the dropper won't pick up anymore product I swap the dropper out for the screw on lid and store it upside down. Since it's a gel-ish consistency it doesn't pour out when you open the lid. I take the lid off and lightly tap it on my finger, and 1-2 drops worth comes out. I do this for a good 2-3 weeks before it empties completely. I use most of the resist line from PC, and this is something I hope to never go without.

Made me breakout
from Riverside, CA
My skin always gets really dry in the winter so I was excited to try the Hyaluronic Acid Booster. I loved the texture and it left my skin feeling hydrated immediately after use. I used it on its own a couple of times but I usually just mixed a few drops with my serum. However, after using it daily for a few weeks I noticed my skin started breaking out where I'd never had problems before. The hyaluronic acid was the only change I'd made to my skincare routine and since I've been using it less and less the breakouts are starting to improve but I still have quite a few bumps and spots left.My skin is still dry but I'm worried that heavy moisturizers will make the breakouts worse. So for the time being I'm still stuck with dry skin and now acne clusters that kind of resemble a rash. I feel like the hyaluronic acid booster has caused a lot more stress than it's worth.

Greatness in a bottle!
I love this product so much that I came back to write a second review. It is so fabulous and makes me look great!! Bc it's winter in CT, I pat this on after moisturizing, focusing on undereye area. My skin stays noticeably hydrated through the day. My neck is beginning to get that mid-age crepeiness, and I love how it soothes much of that away. No more dry patches either. For me, this feels like a miracle product. Terrific booster and I highly recommend it. I will say the texture takes getting used to, but it's so, so worth it! Just love this product!!
Essential for me...
I have insanely sensitive, combination, acne prone skin. Oil free moisturizers (sorry, Paula, but I react badly to yours) don't provide quite enough, but adding this booster provides just what I need.I don't really understand the negative comments about the packaging. It is a bit difficult to get the last few drops out of the bottle, but I've never had an issue with the dropper (and I've gone through several bottles at this point).

While it took several minutes to finally close the dropper correctly after the first time I used it, it's worked like a charm ever since. I first used a sample and my skin felt firmed and smooth. I've tried many products over the years, and Paula's Choice is the only one I've every FINISHED and purchased again and again and again because of the quality and performance for my skin (and my family's for that matter). Fumbling with the lid for several minutes is totally worth the results on my skin with this booster.

Terrible packaging, detracts from product quality
Having just read a selection of other reviews, I'm going to make a concerted effort to use this product more as I think it will help my aging, increasingly dry skin. But the packaging is so cumbersome and dysfunctional that I don't even want to deal with it. The top never closes correctly and the dropper doesn't work, which means I have to swipe it around the bottle to collect product and then wipe it onto my hands in order to get the small amount I need for an application. I shudder to think how much of the booster will be inaccessible to me once more than half of it has been used. Packaging needs an major overhaul.
