Moisturizing magic for acne prone skin
About Me Beauty Conscious
Comments about RESIST Hyaluronic Acid Booster - 0.67 oz:
I discovered PC last December and have been slowly switching over to all PC products. I use the Resist line for oily skin (cleanser, toner, BHA). However, I haven't been able to find a PC moisturizer that works for my skin. I have really oily skin that is prone to breakouts, but since I use clindamycin/BP in the AM and Tretinoin in the PM, I still need to add plenty of moisture to the skin to avoid it getting dry and irritated. Gel moisturizers aren't hydrating enough thus irritate my skin and cause breakouts, and moisturizers for dry skin are too emollient and clog my pores. I saw a YouTube video of Paula talking about if you find a moisturizer that you love that you don't need to change it for winter. You can add hydrating boosters to your existing moisturizer and it will take care of dry/irritated patches. I love the non-PC moisturizer I've always used (also fragrance and irritant free!!) but I was still getting some dry areas around my mouth that were breaking out due to the irritation, etc. After I saw the YouTube video I immediately purchased this Hyaluronic Acid Booster. Love Love Love it!!!! I've been using it for about 3 weeks now. But in one weeks time it calmed my dry and irritated areas and the dry patches are gone. Where I was breaking out cleared up as well. I only use it at night and add 2 drops to my moisturizer. I focus around the dry areas around the mouth but use it on my entire face. The skin is now soft, calm, and clear.I have not had any issues with the dropper. Not sure why, but mine works great. I do see how it may be difficult to get the last bit of product out when it's getting empty. I'm wondering if a squeeze tube may be easier, just bc of the consistency. Regardless, I love this stuff for added moisture without the worry of adding breakouts. I hope PC never stops making it.

Here's how to work the dropper!
from New York
About Me Minimalist
So many people love the product but hate the packaging. I can get it to go in the dropper easily by doing this:Unscrew the cap but don't lift it up yet, squeeze the white rubber top 3-4 times. Then lift it up by pulling the SILVER part of the cover only. It gets a lot of product in every time. I think if you pull up using the rubber part it doesn't work. Hope this helps! It makes my rosacea smoothe & soft, I don't see any difference in the redness yet.

I have used many of the Paula's Choice skin care products, over several years. I love them. However, this product is sticky and hard to use. It had no effect on my skin.It seems too heavy and the consistency is thick and runny.

please change the packaging!
I LOVE Paula's Choice products but I haven't written a review of any in a long time because there are so many great comments it didn't seem necessary. However, I love this product and wanted to reiterate that the packaging needs to be changed. Because the product is so thick, it is extremely difficult and rather annoying to get it out of the dropper bottle. I have combination skin and this product makes a fantastic primer, especially around my eyes and mouth where I get little dry patches. I'm sure a lot of the product gets wasted because I can't get it out of the bottle, so I won't be ordering it again unless the packaging changes. Please change this to a pump or better yet, a little squeeze tube like the antioxidant serums come in!

Nice except for the dropper
I have to agree with everyone else about the packaging. When I got a sample of this product, I actually threw most of it away because I thought it had somehow dried up (it was in a dropper and was too thick to suck up, so it must have been bad, right?) I did like the extra moisture so I purchased a bottle and found that it is really supposed to be that thick and is just not packaged in a practical way. I think a pump would be much better. The product itself is great for adding extra light moisture to my dry areas, particularly for giving me an instant plumping result on my slightly dry neck. I have really had to experiment, though, with mixing it with my sunscreens as it does pill. It seems to work much better layered beneath products than mixed in. Made my silicone-heavy daily sunscreen turn to a weird, lumpy mess that took two cleansing wipes to scrape from my fingers so beware and test small amounts if using it as an add-in. It does layer beautifully for me beneath the PC Youth-Extending SPF 50 and Super-light SPF 30, which makes it a keeper.
Great for hydrating oily skin
from Carrboro, NC
As others have mentioned, the packaging needs work, hence the four-star rating. Apart from that, this is a great, non-greasy way to hydrate oily skin. Soaks right in and feels light. I love it!
Did not work for me
from Denver, CO
I have several PC products that work very well for me, especially the anti-acne products. This one feels nice, but I didn't see any anti-aging results.

Goodbye Dehydrated Skin
from atlanta, ga
About Me Skin Care Professional
The older I get the more dehydrated my skin gets. I use this every night with my gel moisturizer. It adds a boost of hydration, leaving my skin in the morning plump and soft! I can already tell this will be a staple in my routine when it becomes winter & my skin is more normal. My only complaint is the packaging. The dropper does not pick up product. I have to squeeze the dropper 10+ times to get 1 drop. Luckily I only use 1 drop since my skin is oiler & not severely dehydrated. While I will continue to buy it for it's benefits, I hate trying to get the product out. I might have to go to just pouring it out. Please consider re-vamping the dropper (I love the idea). I think the dropper can't pick it up since it's a gel formula vs the Niacinamide which I have no problem with the dropper.

Love the product, hate the packaging!
from Chesapeake, VA
I so love this product! It works wonders in the winter time. I normally get pretty big dry patchy areas that seem impossible to get rid of! I had zero this winter! I dont use it everyday in the summer, but it is great after a day of too much sun or when I feel dehydrated. However....I do agree with the packaging woes. I actually like the dropper but I have no idea if I am wasting some at the bottom! Its is too expensive to waste, and as you know if you use it, a little goes a long way!! The 4 stars is ONLY because of the packaging!

Not for me
from Los Angeles, CA
I used this product daily for approximately a month and it did make my skin feel soft and comfortable when it was applied, but I don't see any difference in my skin when the product is not on it. Also, I don't care for the bottle and dropper which made it hard to get just one or two drops. I often got too much which makes this a very pricey product. I won't be re-ordering.
