    Did nothing for me
    • I've tried this for about 10 days and found it does nothing for my cuticles or nails. I stopped using it because my cuticles started to get very dried out. Like other reviewers, the twisting brush is a nice idea but it's hard to gauge how much is coming out. This is the first Paula's Choice product I can't say I liked.

This made my nails and cuticles better!
    • Love this stuff. With semi-frequent use (a few times per week plus those times when I've noticed my nails are dryer)...my nails are stronger, longer and healthier.

    Surprise! It Works!
    • It really does what it says, treats the cuticle and especially the nail, giving strength to the nail and smoothing ridges. My nails now look healthy in their natural state, and support nail polish beautifully. Have never used a product that actually made a difference. Have already ordered a backup.

Softens and hydrates my nursing hands
    • My hands get so dry from all the washing and the hand sanitizer that I have to use during my 12 hr shifts...my cuticles get brittle, the skin around my nails and my fingertips get so dry and peel, and hand creams are not enough. I use this at night before bed on my fingertips/cuticles and it heals and hydrates them...I love this product, I would be very sad if it were not available to me.

    Doesn't last long
    • The brush dries out between uses so you need to twist it every use. One click doesn't release enough liquid to moisten the brush. I've only used 5-6 times and have tried to be sparing in the number of twists, but it's already twisted halfway up. On this basis I can't give a good review because it does seem to be poor value for money. I think it will be gone before I start to see any real results.

Helped me to stop biting my nails!
    • This is an excellent product that really helps your nails and cuticles look healthy and attractive. I've been a nail biter all my life and this product helped me to stop because when I would look at my nails and see how conditioned and nice they looked, I didn't want to ruin the neatness of them. It took some time to stop, but when you replace one bad habit with a good one; it worked! Thank you Paula's Choice for another outstanding product!

    Great product for splitting nails
    • This product really works. I have been using it for nearly a year about 2 or 3 times a week. I have always had strong nails but one nail developed a ridge and it always split when just beyond the tip of my finger, left hand ring finger of course! Now my nail is growing properly and the cuticles that do get ragged from my occasional nibbling heal up very quickly. Like others say I find if you just screw the winder one or two twists that is a perfect amount and it does last months.

    Try this
    • Put a tiny dot of the Resist Skin Revealing Body Lotion 10% AHA on your cuticles first, let it soak in, and apply the Cuticle & Nail Treatment. They work really well together.

    Very Moisturizing for Dry Cuticles
    • Always have had dry hands and fingernails/cuticles but this product really did make a difference. But as far as the price goes I will probably just be getting a bottle of Castor Seed Oil and probably jojoba/almond oil and make my own.

    Fabulous product but Pricey
    • This is a wonderful product - works far better than anything else I ever tried! Has stopped the splitting fingernail problem; makes my nails/cuticles look and feel so much improved, but it is expensive. The application is so great and easy but amount in the container doesn't last long!

    Not Fair Comparison?
    • It works! It absorbs quickly. It prevents cracking on fingertips as well as the things it is advertised to do. That alone puts it in a category of its own! No other product see helps this condition, which is common (and painful) in older people in winter. On the other hand, it's pricey and contains a tiny amount of product. Ideally, container should be bigger, and price should be lower. But then again, it works! Can't say that about any of the other (pricey) products out there.

    So glad I found this
    • I'm allergic to a lot of cuticle treatments so I was really excited to find this. It is pricey, but lasts for a while. I usually use it in the winter when my hands are quite dry between New England weather and fiber and paper crafts. I apply it at night before bed. It does dispense a little inconsistently (turning a few clicks sometimes only a little comes out, sometimes, a lot), but I just don't turn too quickly and give it a few seconds to see what comes out.

    There's nothing else like this.
    • No fragrance whatsoever, absorbs in a flash (no need to massage it in), and probably my favorite feature is that there's no bottle to knock over. It's a quick way to pamper yourself! Even with diligent use, each pen lasts a lot longer than you might think. There is nothing like this at the drugstore that I know of. I'm working on leaving my cuticles alone and this stuff helps a lot; if you're trying to quit biting your nails this might be a helpful solution!

    Really works!
    • Finally gave this a try because I was having trouble with my thumb nail constantly splitting. I was amazed in the difference of my nails after only one application! After 2 months of using a thin application before bed, I have had outstanding improvement in nail flexibility with less ridges and splitting. Even my husband has noticed. I have had no trouble with the pen oozing or globbing too much product. I keep the pen in a glass next to bed with the applicator side down and always give it a few taps to knock out any possible air bubbles before using. Also, I only wind the pen a couple of notches for each hand (you only need a thin application). I really don't understand all the complaints about the price. First, the product REALLY works (how much money do we waste on products that DON'T work). Also the pen lasts me a couple of months - you really only need a thin application. Avoid globs by storing and applying properly to keep air bubbles out. So very very happy I finally tried this product :)

    • I like this product. It's very moisturizing. The only problem I had is that the product in the pen had a large bubble in it. By the time I got the bubble out I had less than half of the product left in the pen. I called Costumer service. They were very helpful and are sending me a replacement.

    The best of them all
    • We've been using Sally Hansen's version but being heavily candy fragrances it caused swelling of the skin. This is fragrance free and caused no reactions even in the most sensitive people who were allergic to even baby bath. I like to put it on last thing at night and wake up to beautifully soft cuticles.

    Nail polish lovers take notice!
    • I love my nails polished and that can be hard on my nails and cuticles. I keep this handy treatment in my purse (and yes, I trust it not to leak!) and use it whenever I get the chance. It keeps my nails moisturized and looking supple and healthy. I love that it is so easy to carry and use. Every nail polish fanatic (and even just regular people too) should have this product. It's just so convenient, easy to use, and effective. Love it!

If a bit is good, more would be better!
    • I love how this product works, but I have two quibbles with it: too much packaging, too little content. It dispenses well through the brush tip, but if we're going to accept the environmental burden of such a lot of packaging, I think there should be more content. If you do the math, this works out to the most expensive item ounce-per-ounce of the whole line. In an email exchange with Paula's team, they explained you can't compare oranges to steak. I'm just surprised that the cuticle oil is priced like steak rather than oranges. I am sure the packaging adds a lot to the price. Has the team considered adding a dropper version of this? That being said, it works really well, and doesn't have any useless ingredients (like a lot of other cuticle oils do). It's great if you're a nail polish fan who changes polishes often, because this will help baby your cuticles.

Effective, but is it worth $182.50 an ounce?
    • I hate to be such a spoilsport, because I agree with the reviewers saying how well the product works: it absorbs well and is quickly effective. The problem is the price. At US$10.95 for 0.06 ounces, this works out to US$182.50 an ounce! As a comparison, the infamous Creme de la Mer moisturizing cream, costs US$140 an ounce, a price Beautypedia calls shocking. I know the packaging must add to the price, but is it really worth it? (This is one of the few Paula's Choice items that is over-packaged, which is not good for the environment either.) The ingredients are a good selection of plant oils and antioxidants, but there is nothing groundbreaking. Paula's own state-of-the art Retinol serum costs US$29.95 an ounce, less than a fifth of the cuticle cream's cost. To quote Beautypedia's La Mer review again, So why then is this product so expensive? Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. The retail price of this product is due to its non-aqueous formula as well as its special packaging. It is not fair to compare the price per ounce of this product to products from dissimilar categories. When Paula and her team make comments about a product's price being shocking, it is in reference to how that product's price and/or size compare with other (often better) products within the same category. Paula and her team made sure the price for this product is in line with what other companies are charging for the same type of product, complete with built-in brush applicator. Please contact customer care with any questions, we are happy to help.

    Best Dispensing System EVER.
    • Before buying this product I read the reviews of others saying the dispensing system was the only downside to this product. I would have to disagree - STRONGLY.When dispensing the product, a little goes a long way. The first time you dispense product it takes a lot of twists - but after that just two or three twists each nail and I got the perfect amount. The brush allows me to apply it cleanly and not have to rub it in with my fingers due to excess, like I have to with droppers. If I get this all over the pads of my fingers I have to wash my hands and then I end up removing it from my nails as well.Great, innovating packaging, PC Team!

    A cuticle oil that works
    • My cuticles are very dry and require constant moisture to avoid fraying (which causes me to nibble, but I digress.) I finally purchased this during my last stock up needing a few more dollars for free shipping. It actually absorbs into your skin instead of just making your fingers greasy and softens the cuticles like nothing I've ever used. The pen is extremely convenient for occasional on the go use but, the price makes it expensive for regular use. The pen contains .06oz/1.8ml. I calculated the cost per oz and nearly choked. (That's when the rating lost a point- otherwise I would have rated it a 5) The amount of product and price of Paula's is comparable to similar products out there but, they don't work nearly as well. I'm going to think of this as almost a bargain since I buy & toss the other junk and actually use Paula's.

    Love this cuticle pen!
    • I've just ordered four more cuticle pens to keep in my kitchen, bath, office desk and bedroom. The product is wonderful for dry cuticles. I have one problem with the packaging: it is very difficult to remove the plastic wrapper (on all Paula's products!). There should be a pull tab of some kind so that I don't have to struggle with a scissors to get it off. Other than that, this is a very good product.

    Love this!
    • I've only used this for a few days but already my cuticles look GREAT! And know that I'm writing from Minnesota, where right now it's 20 degrees outside and the air is super dry.I read the iffy reviews about package design, so before I opened it here's what I did: tap on the end of it so the air bubble goes to the top. Then twist and twist and twist until the air bubble is gone (the pen is clear so you can see when it's getting close.) After that point, one click gives me the perfect amount of product--one click per nail. No glops, no mess!My only complaint is that I was a little surprised at how little product you get. But that said, if it lasts a few months with daily use I won't complain. My favorite way to use this is to put it on my nails before I put on my winter gloves and leave the house. By the time I get to where I'm going, it's all absorbed and my nails look perfect.
