    There's nothing else like this.
    • No fragrance whatsoever, absorbs in a flash (no need to massage it in), and probably my favorite feature is that there's no bottle to knock over. It's a quick way to pamper yourself! Even with diligent use, each pen lasts a lot longer than you might think. There is nothing like this at the drugstore that I know of. I'm working on leaving my cuticles alone and this stuff helps a lot; if you're trying to quit biting your nails this might be a helpful solution!

    Really works!
    • Finally gave this a try because I was having trouble with my thumb nail constantly splitting. I was amazed in the difference of my nails after only one application! After 2 months of using a thin application before bed, I have had outstanding improvement in nail flexibility with less ridges and splitting. Even my husband has noticed. I have had no trouble with the pen oozing or globbing too much product. I keep the pen in a glass next to bed with the applicator side down and always give it a few taps to knock out any possible air bubbles before using. Also, I only wind the pen a couple of notches for each hand (you only need a thin application). I really don't understand all the complaints about the price. First, the product REALLY works (how much money do we waste on products that DON'T work). Also the pen lasts me a couple of months - you really only need a thin application. Avoid globs by storing and applying properly to keep air bubbles out. So very very happy I finally tried this product :)

    • I like this product. It's very moisturizing. The only problem I had is that the product in the pen had a large bubble in it. By the time I got the bubble out I had less than half of the product left in the pen. I called Costumer service. They were very helpful and are sending me a replacement.

    The best of them all
    • We've been using Sally Hansen's version but being heavily candy fragrances it caused swelling of the skin. This is fragrance free and caused no reactions even in the most sensitive people who were allergic to even baby bath. I like to put it on last thing at night and wake up to beautifully soft cuticles.

    Nail polish lovers take notice!
    • I love my nails polished and that can be hard on my nails and cuticles. I keep this handy treatment in my purse (and yes, I trust it not to leak!) and use it whenever I get the chance. It keeps my nails moisturized and looking supple and healthy. I love that it is so easy to carry and use. Every nail polish fanatic (and even just regular people too) should have this product. It's just so convenient, easy to use, and effective. Love it!

If a bit is good, more would be better!
    • I love how this product works, but I have two quibbles with it: too much packaging, too little content. It dispenses well through the brush tip, but if we're going to accept the environmental burden of such a lot of packaging, I think there should be more content. If you do the math, this works out to the most expensive item ounce-per-ounce of the whole line. In an email exchange with Paula's team, they explained you can't compare oranges to steak. I'm just surprised that the cuticle oil is priced like steak rather than oranges. I am sure the packaging adds a lot to the price. Has the team considered adding a dropper version of this? That being said, it works really well, and doesn't have any useless ingredients (like a lot of other cuticle oils do). It's great if you're a nail polish fan who changes polishes often, because this will help baby your cuticles.

Effective, but is it worth $182.50 an ounce?
    • I hate to be such a spoilsport, because I agree with the reviewers saying how well the product works: it absorbs well and is quickly effective. The problem is the price. At US$10.95 for 0.06 ounces, this works out to US$182.50 an ounce! As a comparison, the infamous Creme de la Mer moisturizing cream, costs US$140 an ounce, a price Beautypedia calls shocking. I know the packaging must add to the price, but is it really worth it? (This is one of the few Paula's Choice items that is over-packaged, which is not good for the environment either.) The ingredients are a good selection of plant oils and antioxidants, but there is nothing groundbreaking. Paula's own state-of-the art Retinol serum costs US$29.95 an ounce, less than a fifth of the cuticle cream's cost. To quote Beautypedia's La Mer review again, So why then is this product so expensive? Customer Care Response: Thank you for your review. The retail price of this product is due to its non-aqueous formula as well as its special packaging. It is not fair to compare the price per ounce of this product to products from dissimilar categories. When Paula and her team make comments about a product's price being shocking, it is in reference to how that product's price and/or size compare with other (often better) products within the same category. Paula and her team made sure the price for this product is in line with what other companies are charging for the same type of product, complete with built-in brush applicator. Please contact customer care with any questions, we are happy to help.

    Best Dispensing System EVER.
    • Before buying this product I read the reviews of others saying the dispensing system was the only downside to this product. I would have to disagree - STRONGLY.When dispensing the product, a little goes a long way. The first time you dispense product it takes a lot of twists - but after that just two or three twists each nail and I got the perfect amount. The brush allows me to apply it cleanly and not have to rub it in with my fingers due to excess, like I have to with droppers. If I get this all over the pads of my fingers I have to wash my hands and then I end up removing it from my nails as well.Great, innovating packaging, PC Team!

    A cuticle oil that works
    • My cuticles are very dry and require constant moisture to avoid fraying (which causes me to nibble, but I digress.) I finally purchased this during my last stock up needing a few more dollars for free shipping. It actually absorbs into your skin instead of just making your fingers greasy and softens the cuticles like nothing I've ever used. The pen is extremely convenient for occasional on the go use but, the price makes it expensive for regular use. The pen contains .06oz/1.8ml. I calculated the cost per oz and nearly choked. (That's when the rating lost a point- otherwise I would have rated it a 5) The amount of product and price of Paula's is comparable to similar products out there but, they don't work nearly as well. I'm going to think of this as almost a bargain since I buy & toss the other junk and actually use Paula's.

    Love this cuticle pen!
    • I've just ordered four more cuticle pens to keep in my kitchen, bath, office desk and bedroom. The product is wonderful for dry cuticles. I have one problem with the packaging: it is very difficult to remove the plastic wrapper (on all Paula's products!). There should be a pull tab of some kind so that I don't have to struggle with a scissors to get it off. Other than that, this is a very good product.

    • i find that this works great on my nails and cuticles. i have a job where i am in latex gloves through out the day and constantly washing my hands, due to this my hands and nails are always dry but stay healthy and strong with this. i have no problem with the packaging. my mother also has dry brittle nails due to a thyroid problem and to top it off lives in the cold north, she is now addicted to this product and uses it all the time.

    Love this!
    • I've only used this for a few days but already my cuticles look GREAT! And know that I'm writing from Minnesota, where right now it's 20 degrees outside and the air is super dry.I read the iffy reviews about package design, so before I opened it here's what I did: tap on the end of it so the air bubble goes to the top. Then twist and twist and twist until the air bubble is gone (the pen is clear so you can see when it's getting close.) After that point, one click gives me the perfect amount of product--one click per nail. No glops, no mess!My only complaint is that I was a little surprised at how little product you get. But that said, if it lasts a few months with daily use I won't complain. My favorite way to use this is to put it on my nails before I put on my winter gloves and leave the house. By the time I get to where I'm going, it's all absorbed and my nails look perfect.

    not my favorite :(
    • This has done nothing for my cuticles and nails. The packaging is great in theory; but like a couple of others have said, you really have to twist it many times to get anything out, then a whole bunch flows. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear you are not happy with the packaging of this product and found it not moisturizing enough, but will pass along your comments to Paula and her Product Development team for future consideration. You may try our Lip & Body Treatment Balm to see if this works better for you as it is a rich balm texture. We will credit you for this product. Needs improvement in the design
    • The pen like design is indeed very convenient to carry in your purse The formula is not too sticky, but not great.if you have seriously dry cuticles like mine you will need something more hydrating than this. I use Paula's lip and body balm with a drop of glycerin. It is hard to get just the right amt of product on the brush. You keep twisting and nothing comes, then one more twist and a drop falls out of the brush. The design needs some improvement.Lisa Customer Care Response: We are sorry to hear you are not happy with the packaging of this product but will pass along your comments to Paula and her Product Development team for future consideration.

    Saved my nails!
    • My nails were ruined after a bad set of acrylics - even two months after removal, they were still paper thin and brittle. I was HUGELY surprised that using this pen transformed them in two days! I had no idea the ingredients in here would actually DO something other than provide a bit of moisture. My nails are thicker (how?!), stronger (really!) and just BETTER! I wholeheartedly recommend this product to anyone with thin, dry nails. I'm addicted to this now, and hope that it's never-never-never discontinued.

    Could improve
    • The product itself seems to be effective. The problem is with the applicator. At first nothing comes out, then all of a sudden, too much flows forth, causing you to work way too quickly to avoid wasting a lot. Customer Care Response: Thank you for your feedback. We will share this with our Product Development Team.

    Great product, great packaging
    • I absolutely LOVE the pen device, and the product as well. I keep it in my pen cup on my desk, which makes it easy to remember to apply it throughout the day. I like this much better than solar oil nail treatment. I like that it has no odor. I love how my cuticles soak it up and stay moisturized. Works well even if you have nail polish on.I never even thought to use it on my toes, but after reading the other reviews, you can be sure I'm going to start.

    (not) surprisingly good!
    • I ordered this with some skepticism considering i've tried and loved a lot of PC's stuff. Nail treatments have always ended in disappointment for me but this one really worked after just ONE application to soften and remove the dried up crusty cuticles I have due to neglect of my toenails. An excellent product which I'll buy again and again.

    Awesome!
    • I really like this. I've also tried pure Argan oil and rosehip seed oil to get rid of my dry cuticles, but there something in PC's that's more moisturizing than just pure oil. If you sold this in a dropper in a bigger size, I'd take that too! Although, I do like the pen applicator, seems less wasteful because it's more precise.
