Aggressive acne breakout
from Fort Collins, CO
Comments about RESIST Replenishing Toner - 4 oz:
I used this product twice a day after cleansing as directed. After a few days of use I woke up to several very large, painful and red acne blemishes. I am prone to acne, however these breakouts were much more painful and irritating than normal. I also noticed my face was red almost like I had gotten sun burned. I stopped use of this toner right away and soon noticed that my skin was beginning calming down. I am disappointed in this toner after all the great reviews, but beware, those with sensitive skin, acne prone skin, or dry skin, this could be your worse nightmare!

About Me Brand Buyer
I didn't give this the full 5 stars because I am not sure if this product is doing anything special. I use it right after I cleanse my face. (At night it removes left over make up, in the morning it's a splash to moisturize). The only thing I wonder is if I'm putting it on after cleansing my face and then I use BHA, aren't I just removing the toner? What's the point? Is it necessary? However... I have been using a Paula's Choice system that I personally picked out through years of trial and error and so far my face is performing better than ever...so in that case, I'm keeping the Toner in my regimen.

One of my must haves.
By S in California
from San Clemente, CA
Resist Replenishing Toner is one of my must haves and I don't dare go without it. I cannot wear moisturizers as they make my skin too oily. I have combination skin, oily T-zone. I use this toner plus a light serum. My face still gets shiny during the day but not as much as it would if I wore a moisturizer.
Amazing for dry skin

About Me Budget Buyer
I typically never took toners seriously. I decided to buy this and I've noticed an improvement in my skin's texture!! The toner also removes extra makeup left behind by cleanser (check the cotton pad, eek). It has a hydrating feel to it but you still have to put on moisturizer. I'm about to buy my second bottle in case my first one runs out

Doubles as a lightweight moisturizer

About Me Beauty Expert
I use this product less like a toner and more like a way to apply some of the Paula's Choice boosters, including the C Booster, the Hyaluronic acid booster and the moisture booster. I put a few drops of product in my hand and then add a few drops of this toner, and it really allows me to evenly and easily apply my serums and oils. Sometimes I use a foundation that doesn't seem to work well with a lot of moisturizers or even foundation primers, but this toner is great for prepping the skin so that there's no residue. It's an absolute must for me and I'm never without it.

My oily skin moisturizer
from Rhinebeck NY
About Me Minimalist
I've tried this during the winter months several times over the years and I always really liked it. But alas, it was just a bit too much for my oily skin for daily use. Well, skin changes and my dryer areas are more dry and my oily areas are still oily but also weirdly dehydrated looking. Since I am prone to breakouts, I can't just rush into using thick moisturizers or oils. So, I decided to give this one a try as a replacement for my regular PC moisturizer for oily skin. And I'm glad I did. Sometimes I use it as a toner right after cleansing, and it's a thick enough (near serum like texture) product to be applied to my dry areas only if I don't think it's needed on my oily areas. Even better, I love mixing a few drops (and yes, it's super easy to dispense only a few drops of this product) of this with the Calm Serum. It gives me just enough of a moisture boost to make my skin less dull and tired looking while not so much that I feel greasy. I've been using this product religiously for three months now and I think it will become a new staple. As a replacement for my "oily skin" moisturizer and a booster product for my favorite serum, this product is a great bargain!

I guess I have more sensitive skin...
from Athens, AL
First off, I can't say this is a BAD product. I'm just thinking it's not best for me. I didn't notice any change while using it until my skin started stinging after putting it on. So, like others, at first it was fine and then noticed the stinging after using it a while. My skin is mostly dry, with some areas that are slightly oily and break out some with hormones or if I'm not being diligent with my skincare routine. I recently got some weird patches of uneven patchy skin that confused me since I normally just deal with breakouts of dry, flaky skin. Which made me pay more attention to what I put on my face... which, in turn, made me realize the toner stung upon application.... so I guess I need something for more sensitive skin. I used Recovery Toner before and noticed no positives or negatives, which means it was probably working! So will go back to that. I am using toner these days to make sure I got all my makeup/grime/cleanser off after cleansing.Only reason I wouldn't recommend is because I didn't have a positive experience. But may be totally different based on your skin! I am not a pro by any means.

Lightweight moisture for summer months
from Toronto, Ontario, Canada
This toner has replaced my moisturizer during the summer months, when my skin is not so dry but still feels tight after cleansing. I apply it mornings after splashing my face with water, and evenings after cleansing. I don't bother with the cotton pad--I apply it with my fingertips so I don't waste a drop. It has a lovely, milky consistency that absorbs quickly, leaving my skin feeling absolutely divine.

About Me Beauty Conscious
I ordered this a few months ago because the Skin Recovery toner was out of stock. It was OK, but I much prefer the Skin Recovery. My main use for it is after washing my face to remove any last traces of makeup. I don't expect to repurchase unless the Skin Recovery toner is out of stock. FYI, I have severely dry skin with rosacea. (The dry skin is from taking Accutane thirty years ago.) This product probably works better for those whose skin isn't so dry.

I have combo/oily skin in the summer & dry skin in the winter. I started using this in maybe May. I had used toners in the past but gave them up because I never found one that I was thrilled with. This formula is a milky consistency and is smoothing & cooling. I just purchased my second bottle. A little also goes a long way and my bottle lasted several months. I feel as if it really does 'tone' my skin and help it look smooth and even.
