Have seen such a difference in my skin!!!

Comments about SKIN BALANCING Pore-Reducing Toner - 6.4 oz:
I went a week without this when I was on vacation, and I came back to a mild breakout on my cheeks and forehead. I'm really surprised with how much I like this! Because of the mixed reviews, I wasn't expecting much, honestly, but it has really helped to clear my skin and unclog my pores. I was using the Resist toner for normal/oily skin before, and I don't think it was doing much since I'm only 19 years old... but when I switched to this toner, I noticed a huge difference in how clear my face looked. My skin has not been this clear in a while! I have sensitive skin, and it does not irritate me, and I also have acne-prone skin (a tough combination!), and it does not break me out. I think it really depends on the person whether or not it works (like anything). I use it twice a day, after using the Clear cleanser and before exfoliating my skin. If you are on the fence about this product, I would say go for it, because you never know if it will be your hidden gem!
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

Soothing toner, but leaky packaging
About Me Beauty Expert
This is a great product for soothing the skin after cleansing, and removing leftover makeup. It's not a must for my skin care routine, but it evens out the skin tone and feels soothing and great. My main complaint is the PACKAGING. It leaks very easily, so do NOT bring this on an air plane. I just lost a lot of the product, the liquid had leaked out over all my toiletries (luckily it doesn't smell). This is a problem I have with several PC products, I wish they could fix it!
Broke me out.

I really wanted to like this but for some reason, it just didn't work with my skin. After a couple of days of use, it broke me out in places I don't normally break out in.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I can take it or leave it.

About Me Minimalist
When I started using Paula's Choice products, I sampled the Skin Balancing line. I ended up buying the cleanser and toner at the same time because they seemed to compliment each other. However, after regular use, I found the cleanser was a superstar, while the toner was quite mediocre. Some benefits are that the product is a colorless liquid, alcohol-free and fragrance-free, with a very mild, neutral scent. Also, the packaging is a screw top with a hole reducer to prevent too much from coming out when dispensed. At first I used the toner in the morning because I thought I would get a touch of moisture and some pore tightening. What I got was a toner that didn't sink in well, leaving my face sticky. It didn't matter how much or how little I used, whether I applied with cotton rounds or fingers--the stickiness remained. It interfered with subsequent AM skin care products, and ultimately left me more greasy than I would like. I switched to only using it at night, which wasn't much of an improvement, but the stickiness was less of an issue with my PM routine. Over time, it seemed that the SB toner didn't have much benefit to my skin, and in fact was sometimes irritating. I started alternating night usage with another product in the PC line, Skin Recovery Toner, which has proved to be more soothing and balancing than the namesake toner.Overall, my experience with this toner has been one of take it or leave it. It definitely is not something I can't live without. I won't repurchase and am still on the hunt for an AM toner toner that will work for me.

Didn't work for me
from Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam
I use this toner after I wash my face, but when I put it on, my face gets a little hot and red (for about a min, then its just a bit more red than normal). Also, it kinda leaves my skin sticky. So I only use it for about a week then stop. I have eczema so I'm supper conscious about the ingredients, most of which I learned from PC's team (thank you so much). But somehow this doesn't suit me. My skin is very very prone to becoming irritated (even with cotton balls or very gentle soap/fragrance/SLS-free cleansers, I only use Bioderma cleansing water to cleanse my face now and it's enough for me 'cause I don't ware much makeup), so I was wondering if PC's team can advise me on which ingredients I should avoid, even if it's a normally good one like in the toner? Also, I can't use sunscreen with titanium dioxide in it. I've tried many products, including yours (the resist youth extending), all fragrance/ alcohol free, but they all make my skin uncomfy, hotter and more red than normal (without sunscreen). Currently, I'm using a sunscreen with only zinc oxide that I luckily found (Skin Aqua, the white cap, by Sun Play-Rohto) and only that doesn't make me feel bad. Now I'm using your BHAs and 2 moisturizers, one with retinol, all is fine without the toner, but....my cheeks are still a tiny bit red, like not all ok if you look closely. Any advise? :[Thanks for your education, info, great quality yet cruelty-free products and allowing super long comments. :]Fight-on, ur still my go-to brand hehehheh :DD

HOLY GRAIL skincare item
from Oswego, il
If you are reading this review, don't even think about it and add it to your shopping cart. I have use the Paula bha exfoliants with success, but it was not until I started using this twice a day that I got the complexion I dreamed of! It gave me dramatic results and a must in my routine. I apply this after I cleanse, follow with my bha exfocleanseand finish with pure aloe from my fridge. It has not dried out my skin. My skin no longer feels oily just after a short period of time either! It really normalizes your skin! I can't rave enough about this! Best of all, it is affordable and the bottle is large!

Don't think this one is for me.
I've been using this toner morning and night for 4 days now and every time it burns my face more. I'm staring to think my skin doesn't like glycerin because every product I have tried that has glycerin as one of the first few ingredients burns my face. This is upsetting to me because I am trying to find a replacement for the Hydralight toner and so far I haven't had much luck. I don't know what to use now.

I purchased three products: the Skin Balancing Pore Reducing Toner, the Calm Redness Relief 1% BHA Lotion Exfoliant and the Shine Stopper Instant Matte Finish. While the Exfoliant and the Shine Stopper do everything they claim the Toner doesn't work for me. It irritates my skin. I applied it in the evening before my moisturizer and my skin immediately became red and blotchy. In the morning I applied it before my sunscreen and again, my skin became blotchy. If I just apply my moisturizer and then the exfoliant my skin looks great. I tried using this toner for several days thinking that my skin will get used to it. But the toner has still the same effect - it irritates my skin.

Better Then ones I have used before.

About Me Brand Buyer
I have used others, primarily between Pro Activ & Clinque when comparing toners. I can honestly say this does not dry my skin out and leave a tight feeling. I feels like a nice step after the cleanser. Plus it does not burn even swiping over acne like some I have had tried.

great "starter" toner!
from Boston, MA
About Me Budget Buyer
Before I started using PC products I was used to so-called toners that left my face feeling dry and tight, and though I didn't know it at the time, left my skin irritated and did more harm than good. I associated the feeling with being clean. This ended up not being the perfect toner for my face, but only because I have different needs (so it still gets 5-stars!). BUT I would have HATED going directly to a toner with a milkier texture. This toner is nice and light and actually helped my skin. It provides light moisture. If you are new to toners and don't know where to start, I would recommend trying this first as a transition.
