Human Resources Manager

Paula’s Choice is looking to hire a full-time, experienced Human Resources Manager who has a flair for recruiting, at our offices located in Seattle, WA.

This is an exciting opportunity for a current Human Resources Manager, or an individual with a strong Human Resources background that is looking for advancement. As the driver of HR initiatives, you will be responsible for a variety of Human Resource tasks that will include recruiting, new hire onboarding, benefits enrollment, bi-weekly payroll processing and other duties as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform full cycle recruiting for all managers, staff and contractor positions including sourcing candidates, performing phone screens and scheduling in person interviews
  • Complete new-hire onboarding
  • Process payroll
  • Oversee benefits enrollment process, including 401K
  • Manage Paula’s Choice entire review process, including quarterly employee goal reviews
  • Oversee interoffice committees such as our Event Committee, Giving Committee, and Safety Committee
  • Respond to employee questions and concerns in a timely manner
  • Assist with annual benefits review
  • Manage all FMLA claims
  • Maintain employee personnel files ensuring compliance with state requirements
  • Continuously monitor all HR policies, programs and practices to keep the organization abreast with current practice and informed of new developments

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree is preferred or equivalent work experience
  • 5+ years’ experience in a Human Resources role with progressive responsibility
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Federal and Washington State HR Laws, including FMLA
  • High level of interpersonal skills; ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong project management skills; ability to handle multiple tasks within tight deadlines
  • Strong knowledge of Visio, Microsoft Office 2010/2013; specifically, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Experience working as a Human Resource Manager or Assistant Manager in a retail environment a plus
  • Reliable transportation, you will be required to work at our offsite warehouse location one day per week, located in the Renton/Kent area

Buyer/Planner

The successful candidate will be responsible for the uninterrupted flow of materials that enables us to meet our customer’s needs on a timely basis while achieving all inventory and cost targets. In addition to the tactical buying and planning aspects of the job, this person will manage vendor relationships and stay current with supplier capabilities. Responsible for the procurement and planning processes for both finished goods and component inventory. Communicates issues regarding production runs, inventory movement and quality. Maintain appropriate inventory levels to maximize customer service while minimizing stock-outs and product obsolescence. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Responsibilities

  • Review ERP requirements and available reports to determine material supply needs, and take the appropriate actions to meet those needs while keeping overall inventory investment at or below targets.
  • Maximize customer satisfaction by maintaining fill-rate targets.
  • Conduct root cause analysis on any supply disruptions or material quality issues and report on corrective actions taken.
  • Participate in the vendor review process to communicate business results and vendor performance.
  • Contact suppliers daily/weekly to ensure schedules are met and new orders are received
  • Expedite, track and resolve production and delivery problems with vendors as required
  • Place purchase orders with contact manufacturers and component suppliers
  • Daily data entry into ERP System to update order status
  • Assist with daily expedite and critical items reporting
  • Handle special projects as assigned

Requirements

  • High School diploma required
  • 2-5 years of experience in purchasing/planning
  • Personal Care and/or cosmetics experience a plus
  • Proficient PC skills: Word and Excel
  • Willingness to travel as required for Supplier visits, qualification, certification, and to establish/maintain good supplier relations

Web Producer

Paula's Choice is looking to hire a full-time, Web Producer to join our marketing team in our Seattle, WA office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • 2-3 years of experience with Web site production.

  • Demonstrated technical aptitude, including HTML. CSS experience is a plus.

Customer Service Assistant Manager

Paula's Choice is looking to hire a full-time Customer Service Assistant Manager at our offices located in Renton, WA.

Use your expertise to help Customer Service Sales Consultants better serve consumers by planning and implementing contact center strategies and operations. Your experience in monitoring and improving systems and processes as well as managing people, will add value to this already dynamic team. Responsibilities

  • Research, comprehend and support the Paula’s Choice brand and philosophy
  • Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the contact center
  • Assist in determining future contact center strategies by conducting needs assessments, capacity and staffing planning
  • Meet service levels consistently and measurable
  • Forecast workload and create schedules that meet the needs of customer and employees including managing time off and vacations
  • Assist in identifying and evaluating new technologies as well as define user requirements
  • Contribute to designing process improvements and quality assurance programs

Requirements

  • BA in related field or 5-7 years of customer service experience
