Additional Information

Why is it different?

CALM Redness Relief SPF 30 Mineral Moisturizer Normal to Dry Skin combines the gentlest mineral-based sunscreen ingredients in a creamy advanced formula. You will have beautiful hydrated skin with the improved appearance of fine lines, dullness, and uneven skin tone. Sensitive skin will be comforted and cushioned with soothing emollients and a skin-enriching texture.

What does it do?
A redness-minimizing mix of soothing plant extracts, antioxidants, and peptides work to calm sensitive skin so it looks visibly younger and feels healthier. With daily use, skin will become less prone to temporary redness and visible signs of sensitivity, and, most important, may help to lower the risk of premature skin aging. The pure mineral zinc oxide sunscreen decreases the risk of skin cancer and early skin aging caused by the sun if used as directed with other sun protection measures. Gentle enough even for skin prone to rosacea.
How to use

Use as the last step in your AM skincare routine. Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. If you don’t apply liberally, you will need to reapply every two hours after your skin is exposed to direct sunlight. If you plan to swim or perspire you must apply a water-resistant sunscreen.

I will buy this forever

This is the only sunscreen I've found that's mineral based, doesn't smell bad, and doesn't dry out my skin. Absolute life saver for normal to dry skin in a dry climate! Moisturizing but not heavy or greasy. I pay a fortune after the exchange rate and shipping to Canada but it's worth it, and will continue to buy it.

It stings!

I recently started using the Calm line and I love every product in it except for this sunscreen. It stings! It makes my skin look red and feel irritated. I have worn this for about a week and I think that's enough time to give it a fair trial. Also, it is greasy, heavy and oily yet makes my skin feel dry. Truly a perplexing product.

Irritating not calming, why? So disappointed.

My skin is sensitive particularly when it comes to sunscreen. I have had amazing success using the Skin Recovery mineral spf 30 for normal to very dry. I have to put a moisturizer underneath as the sunscreen alone is to drying, which if fine because it really protects my skin and doesn't irritate. So, when the calm collection came out, I was so excited! I bought the calm spf 30 for dry skin and it gave a very slight burning sensation, which I don't understand considering all of the extra soothing ingredients. I also bought samples of the serum which also irritated my skin. Such a shame. I wish they still made the toner with aspirin and or the clinical toner with aspirin. There is nothing besides the calm line to treat sensitive irritated skin. They really should add a serum, mask, toner, with aspirin and other anti-irritants, anti-inflammatory, soothing ingredients for extremely sensitive skin, that's not calm line

On my third tube

This is pretty much the only sunscreen I can use daily on my face. Chemical sunscreens irritate my sensitive skin and other mineral sunscreens can either be greasy or drying in addition to wearing terrible under makeup. I've used the PC Skin Recovery SPF moisturizer and I prefer this one because it seems to absorb quicker and not cause my makeup to go sliding off my face. I wear this over a serum and/or another moisturizer, and under makeup and it works great. No irritation and it appears to be an affective SPF for me.

Didn't work for me

This was a let down for me, it's pretty much just "sunscreen" and not so much "moisturizer w/ spf" since it didn't really hydrate my skin or calm down the redness. It stung on application and like other mineral sunscreens, leave a white cast. On the pro side, it doesn't have fragrance.

Broke me out

I attempted to use this instead of the one for oily skin, since that one was way too drying. This one had the opposite effect-- It was greasy, sat poorly under makeup, and it eventually broke me out like mad.

The best sunscreen I ever had!

I am allergic to so many products out there even if they said for "sensitive skins", I had such a hard time finding a sunscreen I could use. This is the only one I ever found that I can use everyday and don't have reactions to.

Best Mineral Sunscreen for Sensitive Skin

Best mineral sunscreen that I have ever used. My skin is fair and cool-toned with redness in areas - when I remove the sunscreen and makeup at night, the redness is gone, and my skin appears smoother with smaller pores. This is finely milled, so it does not appear pasty or settle into lines after application. Makeup goes on over it smoothly. Best of all, it does not migrate to my eyes, and I no longer have irritation and tearing, so my eye makeup stays intact! Has a mild fresh cucumber scent. Will definitely repurchase, and also check out the moisturizer in this line.

Makes my eyes stream :(

Had high hopes for this, and sure enough, it doesn't irritate my skin at all. But unfortunately, it makes my eyes water constantly. Had to scrub it off just so I could see! If you have sensitive eyes, this product may be a problem. Thank goodness I found the Paula's Resist SPF Primer Serum because it doesn't irritate my skin OR my eyes.

Best spf cream I have found

As someone with dry sensitive skin it has been a real pain trying to find a moisturizer with SPF that works with my skin. I found this cream was super moisturizing, didn't irritate my skin and actually works wonders under makeup. I used to have to moisturize and use primer under makeup but I find this moisturizer makes a great base for my makeup!
