How to use

Use as the last step in your AM skincare routine. Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. If you don’t apply liberally, you will need to reapply every two hours after your skin is exposed to direct sunlight. If you plan to swim or perspire you must apply a water-resistant sunscreen.

Best Moisturizer with sun protection

Been using this product for over 3 years. I will never switch to anything else. Perfect for my combination skin and offers plenty of sun protection. I use it all year round and love it. Please do not ever discontinue this.

Stick with it

I ordered this product with my first ever Paula's Choice haul. The first time I used it, my face looked chalky and it just did not seem to rub in at all. I put it back in the box prepared to return it for a more emollient solution (for reference, I have combination skin). After using the PC products for about a month, I noticed significant improvement in the quality of my skin, and the ability for my skin to retain moisture (I had classic dehydrated skin that made my dry areas flakey, but also with an oily T-zone). As summer rolled around, I noticed the sunscreen I had been using now seemed too emollient and I still had not returned the original sunscreen I had ordered from PC. I gave it another try and it was perfect. This time around it left no white cast and gave a nice matte finish to my oily T-zone. I have found from experience the PC products work best together, and if you're just switching, give your skin time to repair itself with basic high quality products before writing off a PC sunscreen or active. I still think this might not be hydrating enough for me in the winter months, but if you have oily skin year round, this is a great option.

Non-comedogenic mineral sunscreen

I've been using this sunscreen for several years. I have oily/combo dehydrated acne prone skin with clogged pores. This sunscreen provide enough moisture and no-shine finish. Good under makeup, I could not find anything similar in luxe brands (as much as in drugstore brands). It does not cause brakeouts. I advertised this among my friends with oily skin and all are happy with it. The only one bad thing: it is not water-resistant, so it is not doog for swimming. I used it in the sea and aquapark and had to update protection all the time. But for city - it is perfect!

This one is a keeper – my favorite PC sunscreen yet.

I finally gave up sunscreens with avobenzone and other chemical suncreens. No matter the formula, it would end up stinging my eyes, and getting into my mouth. The taste is horrible, and takes forever to fade! I wonder why nobody ever mentions this in reviews? Anyway, this is by far the best mineral sunscreen formula I have ever tried. It blends beautifully, while other formulas leave a white cast even on my fair skin. I find that if I apply generously, and let my skin absorb it for a couple minutes, I only need to blend a tiny bit here and there. It turns slightly matte, but not at all dry. Like most of PC products, the added antioxidants even out my skin tone, and make it look so much better. If I top this with a mineral powder, I have no need for a foundation. It's never made me break out, even after those times I went to bed without washing my face. Whatever you're doing here PC, keep it up, and don't fix what isn't broken! For a frame of reference: my facial skin is fair, normal to slightly oily, with large-ish pores in the T-zone, occasional dry patches on my cheeks, and a few fine lines and wrinkles. This sunscreen also works perfectly on my decolletage, which, like most fair-skinned folks, has a great deal more sun damage than my face. If you have dark skin you might find the minerals don't blend well enough, but it's worth trying a sample to see for yourself.

My new daily moisturizer!

5

I recently looked to switch from Oil of Olay daily moisturizer with spf 30 because I didn't want to use all those sunscreen chemicals. I have been using this sunscreen/moisturizer for about a month and I absolutely love it! I have normal to oily skin. This goes on white but dries clear. I have never had an issue with flaking. It absorbs very well. It also did not irritate the skin around my eyes. I have worn it in direct sun and did not burn. My skin is the smoothest it has ever been. I am so impressed with this, that I am looking into their night creams.

Love this AMAZING product

Thank you for keeping this wonderful sun protection product around. It has been my daily go to for years and has kept my skin looking young. I like the natural sun block ingredients in this product, they absorb well and give my skin a beautiful dewy finish. It is not greasy or shiny on me. Thanks Paula!

Best. Ever.

This is my absolute favorite, go to, ride or die spf moisturizer. When Paula's Choice discontinued it I was distraught. It seems like this is the only one I can find that doesn't make my skin turn into an oil slick as the day progresses. There are other spf moisturizers that I like and will work for me but none that I love like this one. It has amazing ingredients AND plays well with other moisturizers, serums and foundation. That's tough to find (and believe me I tried during the time this was gone). Is there a slight white cast immediately after applying? Yes, but it does go away after a few minutes. I also don't know how this works alone as I'm a multiple moisturizer using type of girl. I would recommend using at least one underneath this, especially if your skin is dry. Everyone's skin is different so what works for me may not work for you. All I can say is that I've used it for years without any issues. Paula's Choice, please don't change the formula or discontinue this product!

Best moisturizer with SPF for sensitive skin I've ever tried

5

This stuff is amazing! I use a couple of Paula's products, and this is hands down my favorite. I was a little hesitant to try it because I have very sensitive skin, but this hasn't caused any issues. It's also the only moisturizer with SPF that I've found that goes on smooth, blends into skin in just minutes, and doesn't make me greasy or shiny. Please don't ever stop making this product.

Will repurchase until I die

I love this sunscreen. It is perfect, at least for what I'm looking for. First off what it lacks: it won't moisturize your skin, get another product for that (I use a mist followed by a couple drops of squalane). I don't have particularly oily skin, just a bit of glow strait down the center of the face, which a bit of powder or blotting paper gets rid of. But back to the sunscreen. It has a soft velvety feel that drys down to a satin finish, without making my skin feel tight. It leaves my skin super smooth and sits so well under my makeup. I can't attest to wether or not it goes ashy because I have light olive skin tone and while it starts of white is bends in beautifully. Additionally I haven't noticed flash back, but it wouldn't surprise me if it did. I use it everyday except when I try to use my other SPF in which I immediately regret my choice.

The Perfect Sunscreen For Super Sensitive, Combination Skin!

5

Hydralight Shine-Free Mineral Complex SPF 30 works wonders for me as it provides adequate sun protection, lightly hydrates, is truly shine-free, leaves virtually no white cast even when applied liberally and causes no redness or irritation! I have very sensitive skin that went from oily to combination when I started using Retin-A and I can only use mineral-based sunscreens since chemical sunscreens severely irritate my skin. Most skin care products cause some form of redness on my face anyway, however this product does not. Plus, unlike many other mineral-based sunscreens, this product is not heavy or greasy. From other reviews it seems this product had been discontinued then brought back due to customer demand. Please don't ever discontinue it again. I will never use anything else!
