Best moisturizer with SPF for sensitive skin I've ever tried

This stuff is amazing! I use a couple of Paula's products, and this is hands down my favorite. I was a little hesitant to try it because I have very sensitive skin, but this hasn't caused any issues. It's also the only moisturizer with SPF that I've found that goes on smooth, blends into skin in just minutes, and doesn't make me greasy or shiny. Please don't ever stop making this product.

Never again

I was reccomended this product on a phone consultation and I gave it a chance but it ended up being the worst moisturizer I have ever used. It sits on top of my skin, doesn't absorb and it just makes my skin feel heavy which you would think it would do the opposite being it's supposed to be light. I would have returned it but it's past the 60 days. I wanted it to work for me and love it but sadly it did not. I was overall very dissapointed.

Will repurchase until I die

I love this sunscreen. It is perfect, at least for what I'm looking for. First off what it lacks: it won't moisturize your skin, get another product for that (I use a mist followed by a couple drops of squalane). I don't have particularly oily skin, just a bit of glow strait down the center of the face, which a bit of powder or blotting paper gets rid of. But back to the sunscreen. It has a soft velvety feel that drys down to a satin finish, without making my skin feel tight. It leaves my skin super smooth and sits so well under my makeup. I can't attest to wether or not it goes ashy because I have light olive skin tone and while it starts of white is bends in beautifully. Additionally I haven't noticed flash back, but it wouldn't surprise me if it did. I use it everyday except when I try to use my other SPF in which I immediately regret my choice.

The Perfect Sunscreen For Super Sensitive, Combination Skin!

Hydralight Shine-Free Mineral Complex SPF 30 works wonders for me as it provides adequate sun protection, lightly hydrates, is truly shine-free, leaves virtually no white cast even when applied liberally and causes no redness or irritation! I have very sensitive skin that went from oily to combination when I started using Retin-A and I can only use mineral-based sunscreens since chemical sunscreens severely irritate my skin. Most skin care products cause some form of redness on my face anyway, however this product does not. Plus, unlike many other mineral-based sunscreens, this product is not heavy or greasy. From other reviews it seems this product had been discontinued then brought back due to customer demand. Please don't ever discontinue it again. I will never use anything else!

I wanted to like it so bad...

I am so disappointed with that product, I wanted to love it so bad! I have combo/dry/sensitive/dehydrated skin and this looked amazing because it's very light so it would not clog my pores while still hydrating my skin. Don't get me wrong, it does hydrate the skin, but it's not crazy moisturizing. My chin and cheeks, which are the driest part of my face, were still a little dry, but the rest of my face was okay. The real problem is that it broke me out so bad! The last time I used a product that broke me out like that it was a super drying acne treatment. My theory is that it has something to do with the whole sunscreen thing. I am sad because I really wanted to like it, but I guess it's just not for me. I may try the moisture boost line.

Not for super oily skin

There's not much of a matte finish as I thought. You can definitely tell it's a sunscreen because it does its job, but it still leaves an oily residue.

A sunscreen that I didn't hate!!

It took me a long time to find a sunscreen that didn't feel awful on my face, but this is the one! As far as my skin is concerned, this is the Skin Balancing Invisible Gel but with SPF. Big thanks to PC customer service for helping me decide on this one; it's exactly what I needed.

My favorite SPF!

I'm so happy they brought this back! I tried the Calming Redness SPF they suggested as the replacement but it was much to runny in texture. Hydralight is great because it goes on smoothly and doesn't make my face feel dry. There is a slight tint due to the mineral sunscreen, but it goes away quickly once you rub it in.

I want to weep with joy!

This product was my introduction to mineral sunscreens and I've never looked back (sorry Avobenzone!) I was practically in despair when it was discontinued. I've tried other mineral based sunscreens, available from drugstores, but nothing beats Hydralight's multi-purpose perfection. It serves as a combination moisturizer, serum, sunscreen and I would no more start my mornings without it than I would without coffee. It soaks into the skin beautifully without feeling sticky. There's a very very slight sheen immediately after applying and at first it does appear to make your skin look lighter, but both effects fade quickly enough. The feeling on the skin at first application is almost a fluffy, mousse-like sensation. It's not at all heavy or gloppy. You don't feel any of the greasiness that's common to chemical sunscreens - even the best formulated ones. THANK YOU, Paula's Choice, for bringing this product back!!!

Not for me!

My skin is very particular. It was used to only two moisturizers for 20+ years, then those moisturizers were discontinued. So maybe it's just because nothing else will work on my skin, that this product was awful for me. I have acne prone skin that isn't oily. Moisturizers that say they are for acne prone skin typically drying because they are for oily/combination skin, but my skin is normal to dry. Just acne prone. This lotion made the surface of my skin so rough, dry, flaky, and dull, even for days after I stopped using the product, and it even gave me wrinkles that I didn't have before which I really hope will go away! I AM 43 but typically look like I'm in my 30s because I'm wrinkle-free. I understand the importance of using SPF (I used it daily in my old lotions) but not if it makes me look ten or more years older. I would rather wear a big floppy hat all the time and take my chances with that alone, then use this product again, unfortunately.
