Why is it different?
This rich, creamy liquid is 100% fragrance-and-alcohol-free. It immediately soothes and rehydrates even the most sensitive skin while gently eliminating any trace makeup left after cleansing, leaving your complexion soft and refined.
Collapse
What does it do?
Green tea and grape leaf extract (powerful antioxidants) lessen the appearance of damage caused by environmental factors like pollution, which can lead to sagging, wrinkles, and dull skin tone. Skin-restoring sodium PCA and fatty acids help replenish then protect the skin’s natural moisture barrier.
Collapse
How to use
Apply once or twice daily after cleansing and/or toning. Lightly soak a cotton pad and apply over the entire face, including the eye area (avoid lash line and eyelids). Do not rinse. For daytime, follow with a broad-spectrum sunscreen rated SPF 30 or greater in the final step of your routine.

My goodness what a TREASURE

Ladies! This toner is a TREASURE. I have dry, not very sensitive skin and have been looking for a moisturizing toner with serious antioxidant capacity and look what's quietly lurking on this site!!!!! Within the week that I've been using it my skin feels smoother and more hydrated. This stuff is a joy to apply and feels so soothing going on. My old toner is out the door and this moisture boost toner is here to stay!

Don't discontinue again!

I have started using this toner again after the Hydralight cleanser since they became available again. These were two among my staples when I first started using PC products about 6-7 years ago and were the first products to make me a Paula's Choice loyalist -- therefore, they should not be ditched for what's always being pushed as "new and better." (The old adage: if ain't broke, don't fix it." What I need from a toner is hydration, primarily. I need to use a cleanser that will really clean my face, especially in summer, and so this toner really does offer a "boost." It cuts any surface dryness but also feels mildly cleansing and lightweight. I like some of Paula's other dry skin toners but the SR one sometimes causes breakouts and feels a bit thick when my skin is basically healthy. On the other hand, the toners marketed for oily skin are not hydrating enough. This Moisture Boost toner does a lot, in addition to lightly hydrating, to even skin tone and smooth the surface of skin, prepping it well for other products; but it isn't so thick that exfoliants or serums won't sink into the skin. It should work great for skin types that are middle of the road between oily and dry, which crave hydration but are also prone to breakout/pore issues

I've Used It for Years

I use this toner after cleansing and love the silky, soothing feel of it. It takes off any crumbs of eye makeup or bit of foundation the cleanser may have missed and leaves my face ready for my serum or moisturizer. I've used it for years and love it.

My New Favorite Toner!

5

I have combination skin that's more oily than dry, but I still use this toner on my entire face. It's very soothing and calming. Also, unlike some other PC toners I've tried, this doesn't have a greasy feel at all. It's just the right amount of hydration for my skin.

HG for me.

I wonder if the reviewer who thought this was greasy wasn't referring to the lotion? This isn't greasy at all. I've been using the toner on normal skin for over five years. It does tingle a bit, but I feel that my skin looks better after using the product. It wouldn't be suitable for someone with very dry sensitive skin (Advanced Replenishing toner would be better for that). I have normal skin with blackheads and wrinkles and I use this after getting out of the shower instead of moisturizer.

Refreshing

5

This toner definitely evens out my skin, relaxes it, and prepares it well for the moisturizer but you have to put a generous amount on your face. Currently, I use the cleanser, toner, and moisturizer without the Skin Perfecting BHA 1% and it is a simple combination for my skin that gets easily irritated and dry.

Gentle, moisturizing toner

5

This toner is great. I normally use the Skin Balancing toner, and the Skin Recovery toner as needed (I'm prone to eczema). The Moisture Boost toner is a great in-between choice! My skin is oily and acne-prone, but often sensitive and flakey because of nightly prescription tretinoin use (especially in the winter months). This toner is incredibly gentle and absolutely amazing at removing flakey skin, moisturizing, and keeping my skin soothed and comfortable all day long. It provides the additional moisture I need during the cooler months, without having to layer an additional moisturizer under my moisturizer + spf (the Clear spf 30+). If you like the Skin Balancing toner but need a more hydrating formula, this is worth trying. I now exclusively use Paula's Choice products in my daily routine (with the exception of a prescription product), and I haven't had a single spot of eczema this fall/winter. I'm sure this product helped. Amazing.

my moisturizer!

This is a nice refreshing addition of moisture after cleansing or throughout the day if your skin feels dry. I repackage it in a spray bottle and just spritz it on clean skin or over makeup and skin care for a quick refreshment! It's all the moisture I need. Store it in the fridge for a nice cool down and never fly without it! Just spritz on throughout your flight and arrive with fresh dewey skin. Makes a nice hand lotion too...

I STILL CHOOSE TO TRY THIS TONER

5

I am a faithful user of Resist Recovery toner and with age and drying winter coming, needing more moisture on my face. I am choosing this toner even with the "irritating" reviews with the faith in PC being that they won't sell anything that is "harmful" to the skin. Paula's Choicehas always been a reputable company and I'm counting on that! Thanks PC!

Lovely results after a few days

5

I received a sample packet of this and, because I've never really thought toners mattered, threw it in a drawer and forgot about it. I stumbled across it the other day and decided to give it a go; I'd just finished a PC mask that was terrible for my skin type, and my face was tight and angry and quite painful to touch. A little moisture couldn't hurt. I wasn't expecting much, and for the first few nights not much happened; my post-cleansed skin felt soothed and hydrated, but there was no visible difference in my skin tone or texture. The morning after I ran out I woke up with absolutely lovely skin--dewy and hydrated without being sweaty or oily; even skin tone; calm acne/hyperpigmentation spots. I don't think it faded my dark spots, but I think it calmed my skin in such a way that they were less noticeable. I was Glowy, which hasn't happened in years. I guess a good toner can be useful after all! P.S. I got four uses out of the sample packet--not bad. (Skin: very sensitive, very dry, acne-prone, hyperpigmentation. Very fair, aged 27.)
