This is lightweight but very moisturizing and soothing to my sensitive skin. I naturally have dry, eczema prone skin and this provides enough to keep that at bay!

I have a lot of issues with moisturizers in general. Acne has always been an issue, even now that I'm closer to 40. This winter has been really dry, and I was dying. Thank god for this. I've had no issues with breakouts, and I use this with the clear cleanser and bpa, along with the resist super light wrinkle defense (daytime) and my cracking, chapped face has healed with no surprise pimples!

I have only had this for a few days, but I am in love. My combo skin feels hydrated and soft. It soaks in nicely and doesn't feel greasy or heavy. I also appreciate that a little goes a long way. I usually use the skin balancing moisture gel but its never been moisturizing enough for my skin. Glad i decided to go with the defense one instead. And the packaging is awesome.

I have dry, sensitive skin but I don't like to put heavy creams on, this texture is great, it's lightweight, sometimes when I need the extra moisture, I just put PC face oil under this overnight and it works great. Really appreciate the new packaging for this whole line, love the fact that it's colorful, looking forward to more products with great ingredients and fun color packages. One thing that that bothers me a little about this specific product is that it stings/burns a bit upon gently tapping it over the face, but so far the results have been good and I just try to ignore the burning.

I love PC but have never been able to use the moisturizers. Never liked the texture, stung my skin, etc. I was really intrigued by the Defense line when it was released. I love the packaging and the ingredients for this product are perfect. I've been using it day and night for about a month or so and I really love it. The texture is kind of a gel cream which is my favorite moisturizer texture. It doesn't absorb immediately so you need to wait before makeup but that's not a problem for me. The smell is unique-almost herbal but it's just from the various plant oils in the product. Nothing strong or overbearing and it dissipates quickly. Will definitely continue to buy this.

I'll be brief. Texture is a gel/cream consistency. I have EXTREMELY breakout-prone and sensitive/reactive skin. This has not done anything bad to my skin. It moisturizes effectively but I wouldn't seem this a moisturizer for severely dehydrated skin. It's great for normal dry skin but if you have like dry flaking skin you might want to combine with a serum or booster. Overall I love it. I might add a serum or booster for over the winter but it's a great cream. Has a funky smell but it doesnt linger. It has no fragrance in it so if you want those nice smelling perfume scents you wont get it from this.

My new favorite nightly moisterizer. Lightweight, slightly creamy lotion texture, mild (pleasant) smell. Absorbs fairly quickly on my skin (for me, many moisturizers either don't absorb and/or leave skin sticky). Perfect level of moisture for me. I used to use PC skin balancing gel at night, now I use defense. Next morning, my skin texture seems a bit more even, with no redness or acne. Many moisterizers cause me to breakout, but this one has not. My skin is oily, somewhat sensitive, and prone to breakouts (especially from moisturizers). My night routine: PC skin balancing cleanser, PC niamacide booster, PC skin balancing antiox serum with retinol, PC Defense moisturizer (this product). This particular combination is AMAZING; collectively it gets rid of my acne (surprisingly, more effectively than a salisilic acid and benzoyl peroxide treatment), redness is completely gone in morning, and skin tone is even. I saw these effects BEFORE I switched to this moisturizer, so it has more to do with the niamacide and retinol. But, I do think effects were enhanced a little with this moisturizer.

This is my new forever moisturizer. I've been using it about two weeks now. When you apply it, it's immediately brightening. It has a gel-cream feel and dries to an almost non-existent finish. I have normal-oily skin and I live in the deep South, but this is perfect on its own for summer. When I want extra moisture I add a drop or two of oil to it, and it works beautifully. I have noticed an improvement in the brightness, glow, and clearness of my skin with use. Best moisturizer you can buy in this price range, IMO.
