It's okay

It dissolves most makeup. But still if I use micellar water afterwards there is foundation residue on the cotton pad. Also it stings my eyes pretty bad. So it's not ideal for me to use on eye makeup. It does leave my skin feeling soft though without greasyness.

Does what it says!

I was looking for a cleanser that would remove all of my makeup at the end of the day. I had tried many of the PC cleansers but none of them really did the job completely - until the Perfect Cleansing Oil. I use two pumps every night and massage all over my face for maybe 30 second and rinse. That's it. All makeup is gone! Since my skin is super oily to begin with, I was hesitant to add more to it, but the oil really does leave your skin feeling clean and moisturized.

My New Favorite Cleanser!

I have used every cleanser Paula's Choice offers, and never had a problem with any: no dryness, no irritating stinging, etc.. However, I found for me the two best were the two Resist products. I'd use the perfectly balance (the light blue, I'm terrible at remembering the actual names) at night to get rid of the grime that accumulated during the day, and the Optimal Results (dark blue) in the morning as I have combo normal-oily skin and this dual routine worked perfectly. Anyway, when this cleanser came out a buddy convinced me to try it. Boy I'm I glad I did! It works great and leaves my skin feeling refreshed yet never dry. I apply it to my dry face, massage it around-especially the beard area, the at water and It instantly turns to a light foam, which I continue to rub about. I leave it on, apply the PC Shave cream and end up with the closest shave ever, without any irritation, then use a wet wash cloth to rinse. I'm always left with clean, soft skin without any residue at all! I've never experienced eye stinging, breakouts, or any other problems. I love the clear container (you can see how much is left). So I still use the Resist cleansers when needed, but I use about 70% of the time. Oh, and I found that despite the 4-5 pumps I use, it lasts for an amazingly long time. For me, this is my new favorite face wash. Thanks PC for ANOTHER great new product!

So gentle

I really like this cleansing oil. Since I started using it, my skin is less dry and I have fewer clogged pores. It really dissolves my makeup. I do use the eye makeup remover to get off my liner and mascara so I have never experienced burning or stinging in my eyes. I love that this is not fragranced and gentle for my dry, sometimes flaky skin. I am almost done with my first bottle and I will definitely repurchase.

Burns My Eyes

This oil cleanser causes really bad burning and watering of my eyes. I have to return it.

Best oil cleanser I've used so far

This product is surprisingly light. It doesn't feel greasy and doesn't make me break out even though I am acne prone. The only con is that I noticed it doesn't completely remove my tinted sunscreen (Drunk Elephant Umbra Tinte). After using this cleanser, if I run a toner-soaked cotton ball across my face, the cotton ball looks brown. After all these years, nothing beats the Hydralight cleanser!

Anointing Oil

I have all Paula's choice items except my make up remover and cleanser, so I wanted to give this a shot for removing my make up since what I have been using stinks at removing waterproof mascara. I bought some samples (as always) and put them to the test on a full face of make up. I was really impressed! I started by putting the product in my palm and massaging it onto my dry skin and within seconds it was removing my foundation and eyebrow products. I see that a lot of people are complaining about the burning, but to me if I put ANYTHING in my eye it's gonna burn. So I carefully used my index finger and thumb to gently message a light amount of oil into my lashes, while keeping my eyes shut and not opening them until I have removed the product water. It worked. Mascara was gone and no raccoon eyes in the morning!! Hallelujah!! Not only did this remove my make up, but it made my skin so soft and I left like I had cleansed it already. My skin as bright and refreshed! You can even use your Foreo to penetrate those stubborn pores. I will be buying the full bottle soon.

Ineffective & Caused Breakouts

I gave this product a good, long try. I used about 3/4 of the bottle and wanted to love it, but after taking a break from it and startinf it again I am pretty sure it Is the culprit for my increased breakouts. Also, I typically only wear a light, tinted moisturizer daily. Even after washing and rinsing 2-3 times in a row with it, when I would dry my face I would find my makeup on the towel so I knew it wasn't fully removing it.

Oils for oily combo skin work

If I hadn't used an expensive, plant based organic line years ago that had a daily oil that stopped shine, I would have been questioning using an oil cleanser on combination skin that leans towards the oily side. It sounds weird, I know, but it works great and I had to try this when it came out. My skin is usually oily, with small patches of dryness that get are more noticible in the winter. Oh, and I have breakouts occassionally too. And my skin is sensitive and goes crazy when the seasons change. I use this cleaner in the morning and evening and it has softened my skin, getting rid of the dry patches. No noticable increase or decrease in oil production, so that's a plus! I have always been wary of cleansers that claim to remove mascara, so I have not tried it for that purpose. It is a lovely all over cleanser that washes off easily and leaves no residue behind.

I am on my second bottle!

I am totally shocked at reviews that this stings eyes. I remove my face makeup with this. If it has gotten near my eyes from removing concealer, it doesn't burn at all. I use this primarily as a double cleanse at night. Usually, I put two pumps in my hands and then spread it around my face. I add water and all makeup gets washed down the drain. Then, I use my cleanser for the second cleanse along with a soft washcloth. I really like this oil. I have combination, sensitive skin. This oil has never given me a bump, stung, left a film, etc. It is very nice. I use Paula's Choice makeup remover on cotton to remove eye makeup. But eye stinging? Not at all.
