Small changes but nothing major ..r/o

PC added Lactobacillus and Coconut Fruit extract. Down at the bottom of the list, they added sodium chloride and potassium thiocyanate. That's it. No other emollients, silicones or other ingredients were changed.

Formula Changed

2

I won't be purchasing this anymore because the formula definitely changed. It's a different consistency and I am pretty sure it's lacking salicylic acid which was the main ingredient for the CLEAR SKIN part of the name. The old formula did wonders for my skin because it helped with my breakouts and wrinkles. The new formula is just another like any other moisturizer.

WAS the perfect moisturizer for acne prone skin :(

3

To preface this, I've been with PC for 14 years and use their products exclusively, because no other brand even compares. My skin is combination/oily, sensitive, and very acne-prone. I use the Resist n/o cleanser, Calm n/o toner, Clear Acne Body Spray (on my face), Resist Advanced Pore Refining Treatment 4%BHA, BHA 9, Calm serum, Hydralight SPF30, 1% Retinol Booster, Resist A/A Eye Cream, and this product, Resist A/A Clear Skin Hydrator. It is rare for me to be unhappy with a PC product and, following Paula's stellar BHAs, this was my favorite one. This was the first moisturizer I ever loved, the first I was able to use regularly without breaking out; indeed, it actually seemed to help clear up breakouts and prevent them from recurring. In addition, the aesthetics of this moisturizer made it pleasant to use - its fresh, fragrance-free smell, its silky gel-cream texture. Then I started mixing one pump of this with a pump of the 1% Retinol Booster and a few words come to mind: "clear," "youthful," "glowing," "RADIANT," "FLAWLESS," as do the clichés "next-level" and "holy grail." I haven't worn foundation in years now. But recently what was a flawless complexion has returned to the endless onslaught of acne and redness. I've thrown all the BHAs and bp at it that my skin can take and for weeks I didn't know what was wrong, as I didn't think I was doing anything different. Then a few days ago I was cleaning out my bathroom. I found an old bottle of this product and noticed that the font used to list the ingredients had changed. Then, upon closer inspection, I was truly shocked to find that the ingredients themselves had changed. Why would you reformulate such a well beloved product? From the way my skin has reacted, it seems that in doing so you have mangled a masterpiece. 3 stars because it's still not a bad product; it is simply no longer the perfect product for me and I can think of no good reason why it had to change. Pls consider returning to the original formula!!!

Will stop using

They changed the formula without saying anything. Very obvious. It's now very thick and waxy. This was my favorite PC product and I'm very disappointed in their lack of transparency as a company. They even put coconut in it now??? It was perfect before. Why did you change the formula? I think PC owes it to their loyal customers to stop swapping out ingredients with cheap alternatives without telling them. Bad move. Really disappointed. All the positive reviews are for the old product. Beware.

Immediate moisture in my skin

4

I was skeptical of this product for a long time at first. It wasn't until I ran out and had to start using another brand did I realize how great and soft this made my skin feel. I use it with this same line of face wash and mixed it with the antioxidant serum during the winter to combat dryness. I use topicals for acne and this never made it feel to heavy on my skin nor did it ever break me out. I cannot wait to order more and start using this again.

Love!!!

5

Love, love, love the smooth texture!! It feels like a pore primer and goes on great with a pore primer making makeup so easy to smooth over my skin. Also glad it's sunscrre free since sunscreens make my face shine so I use CoTZ silky soft sheer matte finish sunscreen with it during the summer months. All these go together so nicely and I don't look like an oil slick!!! I love my face again!!!

Formula changed ..the cream is now white and waxy and it feels like you just put silicones on your face.My face was clean but after using it i got a lot of blackheads. Why did u changed the formula? was really good .i just wasted my money on a bunch of silicones and the worse thing is that i live in europe so no product exchange. Really dissapointed

I have extremely sensitive, acne-prone, combination skin and this moisturizer is perfect for me. I've been using this product for a few years now and it helps to curb my break outs that occur once a month. I'd definitely recommend trying this product.

Great night time moisturizer

4

I received a few samples of this as I regularly purchase the skin balance invisible moisturizer gel for combination skin, BHA 2%, and calm redness relief serum. I have combination skin with rosacea that causes acne. I struggled with finding products all my life till I found Paul's choice. I tried this repair moisturizer to compare with the gel one I use. I find it perfect as a night cream. My skin feels smoothe and less red. However, its heavier and not good for day time use. I found my skin looking greasy after a few hours. I will purchase this for nighttime as I think it does a better job and stick to the invisible gel during the day.

AMAZING product - HORRIBLE PUMP

4

I have been using this product nightly for three years. I absolutely LOVE it. My skin around my eyes and cheeks is incredibly soft and I've noticed wrinkles and spots have faded. It lasts a LONG time but like others have commented the packaging is just awful. The pump sputters and often doesn't work and it's impossible to see how much product is left. I also felt like with my previous order the pump was much lighter, which made it seem like the bottle wasn't full. I didn't like that at all. If I didn't love the product so much I would not continue to purchase it with such a defective bottle. I hope PC listens to the feedback on these reviews and changes the packaging for this fabulous product. I have tried much more expensive night creams and always come back to this one.
