The best cleansing foam I ever used!

5

I have used Korean ( Sul Hwa Soo, IOPE, Amore ) and Japanese ( Various lines of Shiseido products ) but none of the products I have mentioned worked as well and gentle to my skin as this one. This is it, unless they decide to change the ingredients and it doesn't work as well anymore, this will be my forever cleanser . I honestly even tried all sorts of natural and no chemical added facial cleanser too, and they might be gentle to my skin, but they don't do what a cleanser should do.

Great Non-Irritating Product

This is a great hydrating cleanser. It cleans make up off well and hydrates at the same time. A little goes a long way which is a plus!

It's a bit dry for my me

I was very happy with Paula's products & using Clear cleanser for 2 years till now, my skin condition has been improved a lot and I rarely has break-out again until I decided to change my cleanser to this one. As there are so many good reviews, I decided to upgrade from Clear-cleanser to this as I'd prefer foaming than cream/gel, however. 1. It's not foaming at all 2. It made my skin dryer 3. It caused break-out I would like to return this, but I have opened it & try, don't know if it's possible for me to return & change back to Clear-cleanser?

Best Product Ever!!

5

I have used this product for over a year and a half and it is the best skin care product I have ever used. I have acne prone, sensitive and dry skin. It is really difficult to find products that work for my skin. The acne products dry my skin out so bad, and the products for dry skin make my skin break out. Paula's choice products are a life saver and a game changer. I can not express enough how amazing they are. My skin has cleared up and stays clear, even through the monthly hormone changes. I ran out of this cleanser last month, and decided to go get a cleanser from the drug store instead. BAD CHOICE! My skin immediately started breaking out and stayed broke out for three weeks until I finally ordered more of this cleanser. I will never be without it again!!!

Not for oily skin

2

the listing said it's for oily skin. I have oily skin. I bought a travel size bottle and used it up. My skin did not feel clean or fresh after washing. It's like it leaves a film of oil. 2-3 hours after washing, my face would be so oily. The cleanser also does not foam much.

Over drying!

Really wanted to love this, but find it too drying. My skin feels stripped. Looks like I will be going back to the Skin Balancing Cleanser. Disappointed.

Not significantly better than Skin Balancing cleanser

4

I tried Paula's Choice Resist Perfectly Balanced Foaming Cleanser because I have enjoyed other products in the Resist line. This cleanser is a fragrance-free, thick white cream which foams slightly when water is added. I regret that it took some time for me to understand the best way to use this cleanser was to dispense only a small amount, less than one whole "pump", and emulsify it with some water by rubbing my hands together before applying to face. The creamy foam spreads easily on the skin, and normalizes combination / oily skin by removing sebum without overstripping. However, if it is used directly from the bottle without properly diluting, or if too much product is dispensed, it is significantly more drying, which can eventually cause irritation or excess oil production. After using an entire bottle, I did not see any significant difference between this product and the more affordable PC Skin Balancing Cleanser. Having said that, I think if the Resist cleanser is properly metered out, the price per usage may even out, leaving the bulk of the choice on whether the Resist product improves skin due to its extra anti-aging ingredients. I did not see any real difference in my complexion, so I would repurchase Skin Balancing instead. Although the packaging of the Resist cleanser feels heavy and luxurious, it is kind of a pain to handle. I know that people were begging for pump dispensers, but I find that the product thickness means having to put a lot of pressure on the pump, and the tall, narrow bottle can easily slip. As an alternative, holding the bottle to pump doesn't work well with damp hands. I definitely prefer PC's shampoo-bottle style for facial cleansers.

Works well enough

I have tried the Balancing cleanser, the Resist cleanser for dry skin and this one. This one has always come on top. It is mild and does not irritate the skin or eyes. It does not feel stripping on the skin either. The only downside that I see is that, because of it's mildness, one single clean may not be enough if you are too oily or feel your skin too dirty at the end of the day. There are times when you finish washing and don't feel your skin to be "deeply" clean, if you know what I mean. When I wear makeup, I do prefer to clean it up first with a makeup wipe and then proceed to the cleanser. However, I do prefer this extra step before having to deal with a harsher cleanser.

Beautiful, gentle foaming cleanser.

One of the better cleansers out there. My skin is acne prone, easily congested, sensitive, dehydrated and oily... every face cleanser that I've used left my skin feeling tight and dry. This one didn't, it gives me a lovely soft foam that cleanses well. I feel like many products work better on my skin, whenever I'm using this cleanser, it's so gentle that I would say it actually soothes my skin. My face doesn't get as oily anymore which is nice.

Favorite cleanser ever

I didn't use a cleanser before starting my PC skin regimine. I was absolutely clueless when it came to skincare - I didn't even own a moisterizer until two years ago at the age of 22. Add smoking for 6 years, and lack of sleep due to twins and a toddler... You can imagine how tired and dull my skin became. The PC regimine I started a month ago has given me the best skin of my life and I start with this cleanser! It makes my combo skin feel so soft and smooth and even and clean, NOT tight and squeaky at all!
