How to use

It's great but smells funny

I was so happy when they brought it back. Formula is awesome but it has a very strong smell of sunscreen. I'm going to try it again but I may switch back to one of the others that I used while they were redesigning this moisturizer.

Too shiney

1

This products does not work for me. I have combination skin and this moisturizer with SPF 50 makes me so shiney I have to blot my face 4 or 5 times with a tissue after applying it before I can put on my makeup. I would not recommend unless you like a really shiney face.

I have normal to dry skin. This is Too light...

3

This one is too light. It's not cream, it's like lotion. Can you have the creamier one for dry and very dry with SPF 55 back? That one is better for me.

Didn't not expect it to smell like sunscreen

3

I was under the impression this was a specialty face lotion with the side benefit of having SPF. But I would describe this (as many others do in the reviews here) as a sunscreen. I probably wouldn't have bought it if I knew it smelled so much, because I was looking for something that had the added benefit of SPF, but that didnt make me smell like I was going to the beach when I was on the bus going to work.

Good sunscreen if not wearing makeup

4

This is a very good product. However I find that when I apply my foundation it tends to pill and that's never happened to me before. I've decided I will use this on those days when I'm out in the sun for long periods of time not wearing any foundation. It protects well, does not have an unpleasant odor and doesn't irritate my combo skin.

Love this new formula!

5

Before this disappeared due to issues the company had with sourcing some ingredients, I didn't love it. It was sticky and thick and sat on the surface of my skin. I used it when I didn't wear makeup and it was always the sunscreen I used on my face when I spent hours outdoors, but it didn't work well at all under foundation. I wore a lower SPF moisturizer most days, which, since I have considerable sun damage, made me pretty frustrated. This new formula is now my everyday, all the time moisturizer and I couldn't be more pleased. The most important feature is, of course, the high SPF. I live on the high desert and the sun is brutal here, so I'm thrilled to be able to give my skin this protection everyday. It's very moisturizing and where some moisturizer leave my skin feeling tight by mid-day, this lasts into the evening. And it works beautifully under makeup! It hits every note for me and I'm thrilled.

Love it but it burns my eyes

4

Makes my skin feel so soft but stings my eyes like crazy!! I even avoid my eye area now - but today I went for a run and the sweat made it run into my eyes and it was excruciating! Never experienced that before!

So glad it's back in stock!

5

This is my favorite sun block. I like that it's SPF 50 and I enjoy the other ingredients such as licorice root and niacinamide. It sinks in quickly and plays well with my primers and make up. I was having anxiety when it was out of stock so long because I was running out! Thankfully it's back! I use tretinoin so SPF is a must and and this also does wonders for my dry flakey skin. I have tried other SPF but this is the one I always go back to. I love it!

Not as described

1

For a long time I had used the Skin Recovery Moisturizer with SPF. I decided to try this new Resist Skin Restoring Moisturizer with SPF 50. I switched because of the higher SPF and because my other Resist line products are excellent and thought this would be a better fit with those products. I also wanted to try this because my dry skin wants a rich cream product. (Like my Skin Recovery Moisturizer with SPF). This product is SO disappointing. It is NOT A CREAM but a very runny lotion. The smell is a very unpleasant; smells like cheap drugstore sunscreen. Weirdly, it did not absorb well either and dried out my skin even more. I went back to Skin Recovery with SPF until I can find a higher SPF moisturizer that hydrates well with a thick creamy texture.

I wanted to love this but it burns when I apply it. It is greasy and it smells like sunscreen.
