I Have Normal/Dry Skin and this Facial Sunscreen is GREAT

5

The antioxidants were the reason I finally tried it and have repurchased since! Usually I never repurchase a facial sunscreen due to one of the following: White casting, eye stinging, after absorption feeling too dry, and finally, the bane of all lotion & potion lovers, pilling. I love that none of these things happen. I love the easily spreadable light/medium thick lotion. I love how it's not thick and pulling my face in trying to apply it. I like the sheen that it leaves immediately after application only to absorb into my face leaving it hydrated. I love that I can put a BB cream on top and not pill. I am disappointed that it's not currently in stock; I will not be buying the Super Light version because my dry skin doesn't like any facial thing that's 'mattifying.'

I love this stuff!!!

I usually hate wearing SPF and SPF moisturizers. I'm not a fan of the smell in sunblock, but this one isn't bad. Plus, it's the texture I love. I have dry, sensitive skin but prefer lighter textures. I want it to absorb into the skin, not feel like it's sitting on top, and this is perfect for me. I didn't care for the original formula, but I bought a travel size of this new formula to try out and I'm so happy I gave it a shot. I used the entire bottle to ensure I knew I liked it. This is my holy grail SPF moisturizer now, so I hope it doesn't go anywhere. It has a light, yet creamy texture that absorbs immediately. It leaves a slightly dewy (not greasy) finish and makes my skin super soft. I haven't had the eye irritation that others have complained about, but I don't apply product up to my lash line as I have sensitive eyes and products bother me if I apply them that close to my eyes. I now wear SPF because of this product. Thank you!

It stings around my eyes and mouth. Besides that ...

I have rosacea and my city always has high UV index so I have been looking for a SPF50 moisturizer. I bought it to help my winter dry skin and I was very pleased but around the 5th day of use I started noticing that it stung around my eyes and mouth. It wasnt painful but it lasted around 20 minutes. I stopped using it and came back a couple of weeks later to see if anything changed but it happened again. I was so sorry because I had to go back to my Skin Renewal SPF 30 (which I love) but I missed the extra protection. Besides that, my skin felt moisturized and supple and I wish I could still use it

Great sunscreen

5

I'm surprised by this sunscreen and by the reviews. I purchased a travel size to try and was pleasantly surprised. I have oily/combo skin that is more normal/dry in the winter. This sunscreen had a pleasant texture, a bit creamy and absorbed well. Yes, it smells and stings- that's the trade-off for a higher spf rating. The smell does go away after a while. I layer a tinted moisturizer with sunscreen over this and no issues with pilling.

Burning, swelling, redness, and flaking

2

I LOVED the old formula so I was excited to try this new formulation. Much to my disappointment, this new formula is extremely irritating to my skin causing redness, swelling, burning, and flaking skin. OUCH!!

nice cold weather option

I use the super light wrinkle defense spf 30 during the warm months and love it!. It evens out my skin, covers the red areas and I don't have to wear a foundation. I Would love a tinted option in this sunscreen. It's great for the winter months when my skin is dryer. Thanks

Not for me

2

I was so excited for this long awaited, new, improved sunscreen that was replacing the "old" version which I loved! This product while less thick in consistency would have worked but stings my face badly so am sending it back. I will make due using Paula's Resist Smoothing Primer with Spf 30 for a little extra moisturizer and the Resist Youth Extending Hydrating Fluid Spf 50 together. So disappointed because the original sunscreen although not as high spf was wonderful and now I need to use 2 products instead of one...

Caused breakouts

2

After years of being mostly acne free thanks to Aczone for adult hormonal acne/cysts and using PC products exclusively, I have had several breakouts on my cheeks that lasted for weeks. Unfortunately this product was the only thing new in my regimine and I'm going to stop using it. The old version was one of my favorite products.

Improves appearance of skin with regular use

4

I waited so patiently for so long for this formula to be released and was chagrined when I saw it contained a chemical sunscreen. I almost didn't even try it because I highly prefer to use a mineral sunscreen. I have been pleasantly surprised with this replacement. I have noticed that with regular use my skin appears brighter and more even toned. Most of the PC lotions and sunscreens have an uncomfortably mattifying feeling. This product goes on with a lovely feel but then absorbs too completely, feeling *almost* too matte for a while, but as the day progresses (strangely) my skin feels more moisturized. The only real detractor is the chemical sunscreen, which you can smell if you generously apply it.
