Additional Information

Why is it different?
RESIST Youth-Extending Daily Hydrating Fluid SPF 50 perfectly couples a water-light texture with proven broad-spectrum sun protection, but this advanced formula goes further by including key antioxidants that research has shown skin needs to feel firmer and look younger and more even toned.

What does it do?
Provides effective UVA/UVB protection plus hydration for a healthier, younger-looking complexion. Its satin-matte finish leaves skin feeling smooth and hydrated, never slick or greasy. It is a daytime anti-aging moisturizer those with oily skin will want to apply every day! The SPF 50 is a significant benefit as it decreases the risk of skin cancer and early skin aging caused by the sun if used as directed with other sun protection measures.
How to use

Use as the last step in your AM skincare routine. Apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. If you don’t apply liberally, you will need to reapply every two hours after your skin is exposed to direct sunlight. If you plan to swim or perspire you must apply a water-resistant sunscreen.

Not satisfied

I love most Paula's Choice products, but am dissappointed in this moisturizer. It is very thin in consistency. It does not moisturize as well as advertised and is definitely not hydrating. Wish I knew this before buying it. I would have chosen another moisturizer.

Another Holy Grail product for me!

This is fantastic for combination norma/oily skin. It is very fluid, and not thick or sticky. I use it every single day on my face. For those that complain about it irritating your eyes - you should not use any chemical sunscreen near your eyes. Use a mineral sunscreen instead. Problem solved. I use this product on my face (normal to oily skin), and I use the PC Calm Mineral Moisturizer SPF 30 Normal to Dry around my eyes. For me the skin around my eyes is dry. PC also have a Calm product for normal to oily skin should your eyelids be oily. I like this combination of the two sunscreens so much that I just keep to this even for a night time event.

Fantastic product!

This sunscreen does exactly as it promises. It is light and non-greasy and feels great on my skin. It provides sun protection without causing irritation or breakouts. Other customers complain that it is runny but that is the consistency of the formula and that is what makes it so light and easy to wear without feeling greasy or heavy.

Fantastic Facial Sunscreen!

I can't say enough great things about this product. It's the perfect sunscreen for my fair, combination skin. It is very light in body, strong in performance. I layer it with other skincare products under my make-up and it doesn't bead up, feel greasy, give shine or a white mask. I also wear it alone to go outside for workouts. It provides the perfect amount of light moisturizing and it doesn't feel heavy when I sweat! I have always loved Paula's Choice products, but this one blew my mind! Please make it forever.

Best Sunscreen I've Ever Used

I've tried every sunscreen out there in an attempt to find the best sunscreen. This is it. I always try out new sunscreens just to see if anything could possibly top this. Nothing ever has. Works well under makeup, looks great bare faced. I wear it everyday because sunscreen is the key to great skin.

Terrible product

This product is so thin that when you squeeze it out on to you fingers, the "moisturizer" slips right through your fingers and starts dropping down your hand and on to the counter. Once I got the small amount left on my fingers to my face, it was like trying to rub water into my skin. It's so thin and water-like that it does not absorb. Terrible, terrible product. I emailed customer service first before writing this review, thinking surely my bottle must be defective. Nope. I received a reply that this super thin consistency is normal. Do not buy this product unless you want to spend your money on a moisturizer that drips all over your bathroom sink before even making it to your face.

Holy Grail of Sunscreen

I've used this product for a few months and it has become my holy grail of sunscreens. I have a medium skin tone with an oily t-zone and combination skin everywhere else. Generally sunscreen makes me more oily and makes me break out. This sunscreen is different. It doesn't leave a white cast on my skin like most sunscreens do; it doesn't cause any breakouts; and it doesn't make my skin appear more oilier than normal. It's a definable win for me and i would repurchase again and again.

Love You, Paula, but this one didn't work for me

First, I want to say that I LOVE Paula's Choice products. They're the best skincare products I've ever found. Sadly, this one didn't work at all for my face. I applied it very carefully and lightly around the eyes, taking precautions not to get it too close and washed my hands after using it, but it still eventually gets into my eyes and stings and makes my eyes water until I have to go take my makeup off. Also, it didn't look matte at all on my particular skin--it felt greasy and looked oily and didn't work under my foundation. I'm not returning it because I can still use it on my neck and hands, but next time I think I'll try the Skin Balancing SPF or the Resist Ultra Light SPF. You're still my favorite, though, Paula.

My new HG sunblock

This is the answer to my prayers. Seriously. I've used the Resist for Combination/Oily skin in the past, but I used the face wash and toner followed by different Paula's Choice products, and it worked, but not great. My skin looked good, but a bit irritated. After a little experimentation, I decided to come back to Paula's Choice and give this sunscreen a try, even though my skin has normally been adverse to chemical sunblocks at such a high level. I was attracted to the green tea and oat bran extracts, which I already know are soothing for my skin, and this product didn't disappoint. While some reviewers have knocked the watery consistency of this product, I consider it a major plus. It's the first sunscreen I've ever used that felt more like skincare than sunscreen. I was able to use the Anti-Oxidant Serum, the Clear Skin Hydrator, AND put this sunblock on top and have my skin come away feeling like... my skin, only better. Not greasy, not oily, not shiny. I can wipe the excess on the backs of my hands for protection and not even know it's there. I even put a mineral SPF 50 BB lotion afterward for a little extra makeup coverage (since I live in Hawaii) and it never got greasy. Paula's Choice is the first line of products I've ever used that truly, completely addresses the needs of oily skin instead of simply not exacerbating them. I had just come off of 12 hours of flying when I washed my face and tried these products for the first time and I came away looking fresh and glowing. The packaging is elegant and almost as Instagram-able as any of the other major brands, if you care about that stuff (I don't). It was like magic, or witchcraft. I'm floored. I just might be a permanent convert.

Favorite summer AM moisturizer!

I love using this during the summer. Yes, it does give off a bit of a sheen upon applying it, but it's not a problem for me. I have normal to dry skin.
