I noticed a visible improvement in my skin tone and texture after just a couple of uses. I use only at night after toner and before moisturizer. I do allow 10 minutes after applying before I apply serums and/or moisturizer. I found this more effective for my skin type (normal/combo) than the 4% BHA.

I just ordered this item maybe two weeks ago I used it three times and had the worst break out ever. Also dried my skins. Deffs won't be repurchasing. I wish I could replace it with another product.

It's the first time that I'm using a PC product. I live in Brazil and I can't buy them here. Last month, my brother had a trip to US and he brought me this. I'vê been following Paula's advices for a long time and my skin has improved a lot. But, honestly, I don't think this is suitable for my skin type. I have very sensitive combination acne-prone skin. A first, I thought I could be overexfoliating or purging. But I noticed that when I apply the product, my skin gets much oilier and shiny and I just use 1 pump in my entire face and neck. I hope that I'll be able to use this in the winter. It's summer here and the weather is very hot and rainy. A least, it hasn't irritated my skin at all.

Writing product reviews is extremely rare for me - but honestly don't know how a company could claim something as "skin perfecting," with "100% satisfaction guaranteed" when so many customers seems to be becoming more and more unsatisfied with these products... I purchased the gel formation in full-size and the liquid version in a trial-size as a hopeful solution to my adult onset acne issues, as well as a potential replacement for a beloved product I'd used for years that was discontinued (not by Paula's Choice). Alas... not only did the product do NOTHING to help my skin, I actually had worsening acne and milia issues. I continued to use the product for almost three weeks in the hopes that it was the kind of solution that would be a "gets worse before it gets better" kind of thing. NOPE. Skin never improved until I stopped using it. I tried this on my face, chest, back... every spot I tried accumulated worse acne than before using the product. It also left my skin LOOKING shiny alongside FEELING heavy/sticky. There was no way of putting makeup over it as it just seems to sit on top of your skin without actually soaking in. My powder makeup would CLUMP on top of this stuff - not pretty. Needless to say, i'm very disappointed. Though, I think I've found a different, more effective product from another brand - LUCKILY. What the heck are you selling, and advertising, as "skin perfecting" guys? Really? Maybe for some people? Not in my case, obviously.

I use it 1-2 times a day, morning and evening most days. Honestly you can't go won't with any of Paula's exfoliants, they are what she's is known for, with good reason. They are the best formulas out there. The reason this gel is my favorite however, is because of my hyper sensitive skin. Using cotton pads irritates my redness, no matter how gentle (or expensive!). The gel allows me to exfoliate effectively, and I have significantly less redness when I use this incredible product. It's only "sticky" if you use way too much. One pump is always enough to cover my entire face and neck. I am an esthetician and I have the privilege to be informed and paid enough to have my choice of products. With everything available out there, I will never stay from this! Never discontinue this please < 3

I have been using this for about 6 months. I first tried the 2% BHA liquid last year but I found that cotton balls were the best way to apply it for me, and I didn't like that in my routine. The gel is perfect because I can rub it in with my hands after cleansing and before moisturizer, twice per day. If I remember right, I didn't see results for the first three weeks, so just stay disciplined about it. I also started out using it every other day and slowly worked up to twice per day. I used to get about 10 blackheads per week and now I usually only see 1 per week. No change in the appearance of large pores, but I am logging in to buy an AHA just for nighttime use and see if that helps. Just had to stop by and let you know I like it a lot!

I'm over 60, and have dry, sensitive that is constantly prone to breaking out. I also have a lot of redness in my face although my dermatologist isn't sure it's Rosacea. Whatever it is, this product reduces it unbelievably! Between that and preventing breakouts, I can't remember when I've seen my skin so calm, so clear and so EVEN. I don't say this lightly but this stuff is a miracle! Because this has a gel texture I've been using it at night after I cleanse my face instead of in the morning when I'll be applying my makeup but this morning I accidentally put it on but then put primer foundation over it and proceeded as usual. My skin looked great! I haven't used it long enough to know if it will affect fine lines and while that would be a bonus, I'm already in love with this formula. I've tried the liquid version and am not nearly as impressed. Just having the redness/congestion gone has made me look much younger.

I bought this because I live in a dry environment, and the description says it helps moisturize skin. I had been using the Paula's Choice BHA 2% liquid, and wanted to try something similar, so switched to the lotion. Both products seem to work fine, but the new lotion which is supposed to be for dry skin seems to actually dry quicker, and leave my skin needing more moisturizer than the liquid.

I was using the 2% lotion before this but for whatever reason it just wasn't agreeing with my sunscreen. I liked the idea of a gel because it'd be a bit more lightweight and it was clear. I use one pump of this day and night and it melts into a watery texture as I spread it in. After I apply it, I brush my teeth to let the tacky finish dry down and I like to give it the opportunity to sink in before I add other products so as not to affect the pH. This has done wonders for my acne, large pores, congestion, overall tone. So incredibly effective but gentle. You won't be disappointed. Also one bottle lasts me just about a year with two pumps a day!
