Animal Testing/Animal By-Products

Do you test on animals?

No. Paula's Choice has never tested on animals at any stage of product development and never will. We also do not contract with any third parties to conduct animal testing on our behalf. We're part of the Leaping Bunny Program, which means not only have we eliminated animal testing from our company, but also from our ingredient suppliers.

Paula's Choice supports many charities focused on animal welfare such as the Humane Society, ASPCA and NAVS. Paula's Choice is a dog-friendly office, with most of our employees bringing their canine companions to work each day.

Are Paula's Choice products vegan, or do any of them contain animal by-products?

While Paula's Choice products are not 100% vegan, and never have been certified vegan, our goal is to use non-animal derived ingredients whenever possible. However, since our ingredients are sourced from diverse resources, this is why we cannot claim that any of our products are vegan. To ensure complete transparency and honest communication to our clients, we cannot guarantee that a particular product will always be free of animal-derived ingredients, in the event we have to use a raw ingredient from a different manufacturer or source. Sourcing ingredients from multiple places allows us to make sure we have our products in stock as much as possible (such as in the event of a raw ingredient shortage). The following ingredients that may be animal-derived include: Lactoperoxidase, Glyceryl Stearate, Cholesterol, Ceramides, PEG-100 Stearate Carmine, Sodium Chondroitin Sulfate, Tallow and Beeswax. Full ingredient lists for all Paula's Choice products are located on the product page for each formula. It is our hope that in the future, as technology advances, we can assure all clients that all of our formulas are completely free of animal derived ingredients.
